DAS Brochure 2

To deploy 5G networks, network infrastructure must be densified by adding more small cell sites and distributed antenna systems (DAS) closer to users. Times Microwave offers cable solutions for small cells and DAS networks to support 5G, including their TFT-5G and SPP cables. These cables provide features like low passive intermodulation, flexibility, shielding, and indoor/outdoor ratings needed for 5G networks.

SMALL CELL AND

INDOOR CABLES FOR 5G

5G Small Cell and DAS Cables

C O N T E N T S 5G is a network of networks, with a high level of

interconnectivity impacting all kinds of telecom infrastructure.
This revolutionary technology requires expanding and
2 upgrading existing network infrastructure.
5G and Small Cells To deploy 5G, the next generation of mobile network
architectures that promises increasing speeds and lower
latency, the network must be densified. Densification implies
more cell sites in more locations and getting the signal closer to
the users. This means significantly more small cells and DAS.
3-5
TFT-5G Small Cells and DAS
In Small cells and DAS networks, RF performance, low PIM and
good shielding must be maintained to meet the industry goals
for 5G performance. In many cases, these systems must be
retrofitted in the available space, which may require component
6-7 densification and ease of installation.
