She was ill and she knew it now. Yesterday evening she got her test reports. Now she
knew what all those fainting spells, that high fever, the severe headache and easy bruising meant.
She was having blood cancer in its second stage. No one else knew except Virat as he
accompanied her to the doctor. She wanted no one to know about her illness but she knew sooner
or later they will come to know. But she wanted some time to figure out how to tell everyone, and
she was grateful to Virat that he accepted her wish to give her some time.
She was sitting on the bench in the garden outside Vadera mansion with the photo
album of Viren and Jivika's wedding. Her head was throbbing with pain. But she ignored it and
watched the pictures of the wedding.
Virat watched her from behind. She was happy, looking at the photos and smiling.
Virat loved her and her smile. But he knew that she was going through pain form inside. He
wanted her to tell everyone about her illness, but he couldn't deny her innocent wish of the need
for some time. He admired her quality of giving out happiness only to others and keeping all the
pain to herself. She was the ray of sunshine in his dark and empty life. It was she who broke
through all the barriers he had built around himself. She made him forget the sorrows of his past
and made him live in the present to the fullest. She made him realize that he can do whatever he
want to in his life and taught him to follow his heart, his dreams. She was the light which
brightened his life. SHE WAS HIS LIFE!!!

Part 2

Manvi's head was still throbbing and it was getting worse. Virat tiptoed to her from
back without making any sound. But she could feel his presence anywhere in this world. Without
looking back she smiled and said, “Good morning Chep!”. Sighing in defeat he thought 'How
does she always know?!' Coming back to normal he said in a cheery voice, “Good morning Ded
Footiya!!”....... “Vaise tumhe har baar kaise pata chal jata hai? Mai to kabhi koi awaz bhi nahi
karta yaar..??” he asked standing behind her and putting his hands on either side of her on the
bench. She smiled to herself and said, “Bas pata chal jata hai...”.
“Vaise kya baat hai bandariya, aaj tum badi jaldi uth gayi?” he said in a teasing manner
knowing very well her habit of waking up late. Annoyed she looked up and gave him her sarcastic
tight lipped smile. Then looked down again and resumed watching the photos.
He came and sat down next to her. He placed his arm on her shoulder and pulled
her close towards him. He could feel the unnatural warmth of her body. But he knew that she was
taking her medicines properly now, so he didn't say anything to her as it would irritate her. She
looked at him and smiled and together they both started seeing the wedding pics. Manvi stopped
at a photo of Virat and herself. Seeing the photo they both went into flashback....
FLASHBACK

It was wedding day and Virat was standing at the entrance welcoming the guests. Manvi came
there and stood beside Virat. Maanvi said looking at him, “Mujhe yakeen nahi ho raha hai mai
ye sab aaj dekh pa rahi hoon....... Shayad mai yeh sab miss kar deti...... Meri life ke sabse sad din
ko sabse happy banane ke liye, Thank you so much Virat”
Virat: “Umm...vaise jyada thank you bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai,.... isme bhi mera fayda tha.”
Manvi: (confused) Tumhara fadya? Kaise??
Virat: Woh kya hai na,..tumhare bina shaadi badi boring ho gayi thi. Koi excitement nahi hai,
mai ladta kis se? Tang kiski khichta? In short Shikari apni Sherni ke bina kya karta?”
Manvi: (smiling) Bolo aaj mai kuch nahi bolungi.
Virat: (Raised his eyebrows) Vaise ek bat batau....aaj tum, sherni kam aur jokar jyada lag rahi
ho..... Tumhara make up.
Manvi immediately placed her hand on her cheek. She quickly grabbed a spoon form the passing
nearby waiter and started checking her make up. After watching her reflection in the spoon, she
realized Virat's joke. Annoyed she looked at him with a sarcastic expression. And Virat suddenly
barked at her “boo...” causing her to jump back in surprise. Quickly coming back to her usual
self she hit him with her elbow......

Both returning to the present started laughing heartily at the memory. Virat
watched her laughing. How he loved her this way, happy and laughing as if the whole world is
filled with happiness and celebrating with her.
“Dekha Miss Sherni, iss Shikari ne akhir tumhara shikar kar hi liya na”, said Virat
smiling. “Ha ha Mr. Shikari.....maan gaye aapko. Aur vaise bhi yeh Sherni jyada din rehne wali
nahi hai” Manvi replied. Virat put his hand on her mouth and said, “Shh..... Dobara kabhi aisa
mat bolna”.
Manvi held his hand on her mouth and moved it aside. She just smiled and said,
“Tum sacchai se bhag nahi sakte Chep. Aur sach yeh hai...ki tumhari iss Sherni ke pass jyada
waqt nahi hai....” Getting angry he pulled his hand away from her grip and shouted looking
away, “Manvi please apni yeh bakwas band karo okay..” Then realizing that he just shouted on
her he turned to look at her. She was smiling gently on his concerned angry reaction, making him
feel more guilty. He put his hand on her cheek and said, “Kuch nahi hoga tumhe.....Mai tumhe
kuch nahi hone dunga.”. Tears brewed up in her eyes. Not because she knew the fact that she was
dying, but because of the love with which he said those words. She smiled with those teary eyes
and hugged him. He hugged her back tightly, like if he let go she will go far away from him.
Manvi's headache was getting worse and she felt dizzy....
She loved him and she knew that he loved her too. She knew he loved her so much
that seeing her in pain was killing him from inside. She can understand his pain. Because even for
her the mere thought of loosing him was unbearable till the day she die. She felt helpless that she
couldn't do anything. “I love you Chep”, She whispered. Her head was spinning now and she was
about to faint. “I love you too, Ded Footiya”, He said softly. She pulled a little away and looked
into his eyes. He kissed her gently on her forehead and smiled at her. 'His million dollar smile' she
thought. She smiled back and her eyes closing slowly she fainted in his arms......
