With the rapid development of technology, more and more young people

are addicted to social media, which causes many negative effects on their
physical and mental health. Give effects of this and suggest some effective
ways to handle these problems.

It is widely excepted that the rapid development of technology has led to the
way that people connect to each other all over the world. More and more young
people are addicted to it. Eventhough serious problems have arisen as a result of
it, there are solutions.
There are some reasons can explain why teens are crazy about social media. The
first one is students’ studying time is too much. However, there are lacking in
extracurricular at school. They may be becomeing under pressure. They dip
themselves into social media to relax and find the pleasure. Further pressures
will include parents’ lossing control in managing their children. They let their
children using social media all day without inhibition. Furthermore, they can’t
catch up with the quickly growth of technology, it’s too difficult too manage
their children. The last problem is teens can’t decision what they are doing in a
day. When they want to do homework, they do it. When they want to watch TV,
they watch it,… They can’t plan their logical schedule, so they spend most of
their time on playing games, watching Youtube, surfing Facebook,…There is
no doubt that they loss their self-awareness.
There are several actions that could be taken to solve the problems described
above. At first, a wide range of activities should be organized for student, which
are preferable for each students’ hobby such as going camping, arts activities,
sport game, students’ club,… Parents also have an important part to play. They
need to closely monitor the activities of their children and pay attention on their
children’s time for social media. Finally, young people must set a suitable
schedule to balance both their studying and relaxing.
To conclude, social media is an amazing technological invention that has
transformed people’s lives, but not without negative impacts. Nevertheless, with
the right action by school, parents and individual, it can be made a safe place for
everyone.
