2GO Group, Inc.  was formed and organized on May 26, 1949 under the corporate name
William Lines, Inc. On December 21, 1995, William Lines, Inc., Carlos A. Gothong Lines, Inc.
and Aboitiz Shipping Corporation consolidated their resources and expertise and marked the
birth of William, Gothong & Aboitiz, Inc. (WG&A). Then on February 4, 2004, WG&A changed its
corporate name to Aboitiz Transport System Corporation as a result of the buyout made by
Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. of the Chiongbian and Gothong holdings in WG&A in 2002. The
Securities and Exchange Commission approved the subsequent change of the corporate name
to the present one on March 9, 2012 and It’s now called 2GO Travel.
        2GO now is engaged in the movement of people and cargo operating under brand names
"2GO Travel" for business leisure. The Company and its subsidiaries provide shipping, logistics
and distribution services to small and medium enterprises, large corporations, and government
agencies throughout the Philippines.
2GO Air is a logistics and supply chain airline based in Parañaque, Philippines. Its main base is
at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila.

MANILA, 24 February 2021 – 2GO Group, Inc., the Philippines’ largest integrated transportation
and logistics provider, clinched a back-to-back win in the 2019 ASEAN Corporate Governance
Scorecard (ACGS) Awards, bagging an ASEAN Asset Class Award this year. 2GO continues to
be recognized as a top performing company in the ASEAN region in the corporate governance
assessment, as evaluated by the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) Corporate
Governance (CG) Working Group, through its CG experts. 2GO is committed to the principles

The company has grown to be more than shipping. We’ve gone into logistics, offering the whole
suite of freight forwarding, import, export, customs clearance and release, warehousing,
multimodal transportation, e-commerce, last mile deliveries, project logistics, and express
deliveries.

2GO TRAVEL uses mobile booking as their tool to make it easy for us to access and to connect
with the destination we want to go to. Since smartphones are convenient and portable you can
easily give them a soft copy of hotel reservation , flight or railway tickets and other important
documents.
They also use automation as their tool in booking a trip that is required to make phone calls and
speak directly to a service provider. They also use Bleisure travel where it is simply the practice
of combining business travel and leisure travel in one trip. 
As a tour operator you can take advantage of this trend by creating offers that entire business
travels to extend their stay for leisure.
