-Red Heart Super Saver Medium (worsted) weight yarn:
Cherry Red (or any red of your choice), Yellow, White, Black
-Size H-5.00mm crochet hook
-Yarn Needle

Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
DC: double crochet
HDC: half double crochet
Sc: single crochet

Size: 3-6 Months


With Red
ch 3, 9 DC in 3rd chain from hook, join to first DC, ch 2
Round 2: 2 DC in each around, join to first DC, ch 2 (18 DC)
Round 3: 2 DC, DC in next, repeat around, join, ch 2 (27 DC)
Round 4: 2 DC, DC in next 2, repeat around, join, ch 2 (36 DC)
Round 5: 2 DC, DC in next 3, repeat around, join, ch 2 (45 DC)
Round 6-10: DC around, join ch2 (45 DC)
do not fasten off, begin on first earflap as written below for this size

Sew in ends.
Take 9 strands of yarn (3 each of black, white, and red) that measure 36 inches and pull half through the
bottom of one earflap and tie a knot. There should be 18 strands. Braid using 6 strands of yarn in each
bunch, and tie a knot at the bottom. (Do the same thing for the other ear flap)

Eyes:
Pupils (Make 2): With Black:
Ch 2
Round 1: sc 6 in 2nd chain from hook, sl st to beginning sc and ch 1
Round 2: 2 sc in each st around, sl st to beginning sc and fasten off

Eye (Make 2): With White:

Finishing:
Sew pupils onto white part of eyes *Take white strand and make a fleck in the black portion of eye as
shown in photo*, stuff both eyes and attach to hat. Stuff nose and attach to hat. Sew mouth on hat. Sew
in all loose ends. Enjoy!!
