Installation of the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (USSEP) is highly
advised to fix a lot of issues related to vanilla outfits (and the game in
general). It is also recommended to use a mod manager to make it easier to install
and uninstall mods.
Manual
Download the main file archive and open it with 7-zip. Do not use anything but 7-
zip.
Install the contents of the 00 Required (Slim) folder into the Data folder of your
game installation.
Install the contents of the body you want (one of folders 01-05) or the underwear
(20-25) into the Data folder. Skip if you want to use Slim. Remember to install an
underwear texture option (one of folders 26-29) if using any of the underwear (20-
25) meshes.
Install the contents of the outfit replacers you want (06-10) into the Data folder,
according to what body shape you're using.
Recommended: Install the contents of the Face Pack folder into the Data folder.
Optional: Install the contents of the pubic hair or underwear recolor folders into
the Data folder.
Optional: Download and install the normal map options file to make sure your body
looks perfect for your preferred shape.
Examples:
To have CBBE Vanilla in grey modern underwear, with the face pack with trimmed
brows, and all outfits, you would install folders 01, 08, 10, 11 one of 15, 22, 28.
To have a BodySlide and RaceMenu morphs compatible body, with the face pack and
thin+trimmed brows, and all outfits, you would install folders 01, 09, 10, 11, one
of 14, 30, 31, 32.
Wrye Bash
Download CBBE and open Wyre Bash.
Move/copy the CBBE archive into your Installers tab.
Check the boxes of what you wish to install in the Sub-Packages pane (see Manual
installation section for details).
Right click the archive and 'Install'.
OR.
Download the CBBE SSE Wizard.txt from Mertz's WizBAIN thread.
Rename the CBBE SSE Wizard.txt to wizard.txt.
Download and open the CBBE archive with 7zip.
Move/copy the wizard.txt into the archive (do not put it into any folders within
the archive).
Open Wrye Bash, then move/copy the CBBE archive into the Installers pane.
Right click the CBBE archive and select 'Wizard'.
Follow the instructions.
Vortex/MO
Download and install as you would any other Vortex/MO mod. This version comes with
a FOMod scripted installer to make it easier for you to install the body of your
choice and the various available options.
