What I Can Do?
There are some artworks that effectively used some art principles. Describe each image and state why the use of a specific principle became
effective in increasing or improving the impact and quality of their works. See and write down if you can also find more principles present in the work.
Use the space beside each image to briefly state your answers.
The art is made of up animals uniting each other. When you
keep on staring at the art, you will notice the balance of the
objects. The way that the animals made on the left side is
identical on the right side. Harmony is also observed because
you can easily see the visually satisfying effect of combining
similar or related elements. Adjacent colors. Similar shapes
and it connects with one another.

The art is basically based on the everyday life of the people
wherein it shows the things that they do. Visually, the
movement of the objects can easily notice because of how
they pose and how does the hats and papers are blowing by
the wind. Another is the harmony, how does the art put
together and how they represent the meaning of the art.

The Black and Violet painting ranges among
the artist’s most important works resulting
from a wonderful combination of
circumstances. You can easily identify the
rhythm where there is some parallel lines,
vertical, slanting and horizontal lines wherein it
shows the repetitive progression of parallelism.
It also shows the harmony because of how the
colors pop up and give emphasis to the true
meaning of the piece. This artwork is also an
example of abstract art wherein there are the
two sailboats plowing through the calm water
on the right, and the sinister black cloud of the

Using your skills in photography, take a picture of any subject that shows one or more principles of design.
Make a title about your photo and identify the principle/s of design being shown in your photo.
As you capture a picture, take some documentation while doing this given activity as a proof that you
personally made it.

TITLE: THE MELODY OF HORSES
The melody of horses represent the life of the animals where in they can show
their own character on each other. In this art, you can easily identify the harmony
in which the sense of cohesion is observed. Harmony in art is essential because it
gives the wholeness and completeness of the art, like in the picture, without the
horses, it cannot be called the melody of horses because horses is the main
character. The emphasis is also noticed like how the horses put in the center of
the art. It is used to attract the viewers attention to a particular area or object.
Lastly the movement. The motion of the horses when they jump and shake their
heads to form a melody, I called it melody because once a horse shakes it head,
the other horse will copy it.
