On Side 2, you will be required to darken the appropriate oval as the answer to the question given in the test
booklet. Your answer choice must be marked by darkening the relevant oval in the corresponding line of the
question number, as shown below.
15. 1 2 3 4 5
Some examples of Wrong Method of marking answers are shown below:
15. 1 2 3 4 5
(Incompletely darened space is wrong).
15. 1 2 3 4 5
(Incomplete erasing of wrong answer is wrong).
15. 1 2 4 5
(Use of Tick Mark is wrong).
In all the above cases, though you may show your answer, it may not be read by the computer correctly because of faulty
method of answering.
iii How to Change Your Answer
If you wish to change your answer erase completely the already darkened oval by using a good quality eraser and then
darken the new oval bearing your revised answer number.
While changing the answer, erasing the earlier answer completely is extremely essential. If it is not erased completely
smudges will be left on the erased oval as shown below and the question will be read as having two answers and will be
ignored for giving any credit.
Q.2 1 2 3 4 5
(Smudge left in oval No.3 due to bad erasure, and the fresh answer in oval No. 4 will be read as two answers 3 and 4 and
therefore no credit will be given even if the oval No.4 happens to be the correct answer).
3
iv. Use HB pencil only for marking answers.
If a question is skipped, care should be taken while marking the answer of the next question. It should be marked against
the appropriate question serial number leaving blank the answer-space (s) for the skipped question(s).
No extra time will be given for darkening the ovals after the time for the objective test is over and the ‘stop’ signal
is given.
