Dear Trung,
I’ve been so happy ever since we finally had our get-together arranged this weekend to
celebrate your having a new job. But I’m afraid I have to cancel it.
You’ve already known that my study has struggled me all the time. The situation is getting
worse. The company is going to have a cutdown in employees. Therefore, I have to take a
new project just to boost my performance in order to stay in the company, which means I
have to work extra time this whole weekend. There’s nothing I can do other than cancel our
meeting.
I know this would upset you really much. I’m so sorry. Forgive me please. Next weekend
would be very nice for a hangout around the city if you’re available. We’re gonna have a
light dinner then chill at one acoustic bar. That sounds great, right? And it’ll be totally on
me to make up for my guilt.
I honestly apologize again and look forward to your reply and rearrangement.
Yours sincerely,
Thinh
In recent years, imigrating to big cities has become a trend, especially to young people. The
fact that living in big cities leads to a lot of benefits makes the situation easily understood.
There are some disadvantages, however, that people living in big cities have to consider.
Both pros and cons of the issue are discussed below.
First and foremost, big cities offer people great occupation opportunies. As a wide range of
industries is available, it is easy to be employed. Moreover, big cities have big companies,
which makes it most likely to get promoted and earn a good salary. Besides, moving to big
cities provides people with easy access to advanced infrastructure. People expectedly
experience better health care, better education, and extremely better entertainment sources
when living in big cities. Life standard consequently becomes higher.
On the other hand, people living in big cities have to face several drawbacks. The concept of
competition is unavoidable anywhere. In big cities, it is especially harsher than ever as more
people come and all wish to conquer the dream. As the result, people failed may suffer
unemployment or have to choose other low-level positions. Secondly, it requires a good
financial situation to maintain that comfortable life in big cities. High expenditure takes
place to afford the facilities adding more pressure to the competition. Moreover,
overpopulation does some harm to the environment and also leads to congestion in traffic
and services. Life expectancy is surprisingly considered to be low compared to its in rural
areas.
To conclude, both advantages and disadvantages must be taken into great consideration
when deciding to live in big cities. Personally, the benefits seem to outweigh all the
drawbacks if determination is high and all the efforts take place.

In recent years, taking private classes after school has become a controversial topic. Some
parents support this. Others, however, reject as they think relaxation is essential. Personally,
I follow the later perspective. Discused below are several reasons supporting my point of
view.
To conclude, whether to require children to take private lessons still remains under debate.
As far as I'm concerned, the point at issue is what is best for the children. Therefore, I put
more highlight on the idea that ___________.
