To, Bagong Uso Kasi", or "Tara Sumabay Tayo Sa Uso NG Di Tayo Mapag-Iwanan". That Is What We Commonly Here For Some Filipinos

Filipinos are known to be adaptive and open to new cultures and trends. During the pandemic, many Filipinos turned to social media to cope with isolation. Some Filipinos enjoy joining popular trends on social media related to business, fashion, food, music and TikTok to feel included. However, blindly following trends can sometimes lead to hurting others. Instead of only following trends, Filipinos could create positive trends of their own that help people during the pandemic.

“Sabay sa Anumang Uso”

Filipinos are Filipinos. We are good at adapting others

culture and lifestyle. We love going to other places to learn
what kind of people they are or what kind of lives they are
living in. But since global pandemic comes, everything changed in
just one blinked. Everything we do was paused for a moment. But
it was for the meantime.
Filipinos are known to be resilient. That is why we can cope
up with things easily. This attitude of ours was more proven in
this time of pandemic. Instead of stressing ourselves in this
situation we are experiencing, we spend most of our time in
social media. And that is the reason why we are oriented about
trends. Some Filipinos are funned of joining trends. May it be
business trends, fashion, foods, music, and most of all tiktok
trends. We try our best to fin in and blend in with others.
Others be like: “Bes bagong uso na naman”, “Bro tara gawin natin
‘to, bagong uso kasi”, or “Tara sumabay tayo sa uso ng di tayo
mapag-iwanan”. That is what we commonly here for some Filipinos.
We join any trends that pops out in our social media. Even
trending issues some Filipinos don’t let it pass.
I’m not referring to all Filipinos that’s why I use words
like “some”. And there’s nothing wrong following or doing any
trends. If that’s what makes you happy, go with it. What's wrong
is, we are out of our limits. We are already hurting other
people. And instead of following trends, why do we create our own
trends, good trends rather that will make us survive this time of
global pandemic?
