                   23rd, 24th, 30th & 31st October-2021
The Test shall be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), following Remote
Proctored Online Based Test (RP-OBT) methodology, wherein candidate is required to
take the test at his/her place of Stay, on a PC/Laptop to be connected to a good
network and it should follow the specifications as under. In case you do not have the
recommended equipment or network at your place of stay, it is recommended to move
to any other place of your choice that is free from disturbances, wherein you have the
access to a PC or Laptop and have a good network as per NTA specifications.
The NTA RP-OBT shall only be run through a Safe Exam Browser (SEB), hence it is
essential to be downloaded by all candidates, much before the NTA Online Tests date.
The NTA has already conducted a Webinar on 13 October 2021, explaining the
procedure, how the Test is to be conducted. To ensure Candidates have downloaded
the SEB and have understood related instructions. The NTA shall further conduct a
Mock Test on 19 October 2021. Mock Test time shall be extended for about 7 hours
from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm and for candidates to perfect the art of taking the Test,
each candidate shall be given 5 attempts to log in, take the test, submit it and log out.
It is important for candidates to attend both of them.
The SEB allows NTA to conduct a safe and secured Test. However, the SEB detects
duplicate monitor/s and interrupts the test. It kills non-required processes, at the
beginning of the Test and at regular intervals. It disables; remote access and access to
system resources. It is a single tab browser and disables copy-paste. Hotkeys are also
disabled (for instance, Alt + Tab, shortcuts after Ctrl + Alt + Del like task manager,
Switch user, etc.). The NTA shall forward the candidate's instructions on how to
download the SEB.
A candidate shall not be requiring the SEB after the NTA Test is over and may uninstall
the SEB from the windows start menu after the exam or in case it is not installed
properly.
The NTA test has features like Artificial Intelligence & Face recognition etc., which
continuously keeps a track of each candidate via students' webcams and microphone
feeds from their Laptop/PC, hence please do not use any unfair practices, during the
Test, as you are constantly being watched and the feeds are recorded as well at NTA
end. Our AI-enabled automated proctoring doubles up security using advanced video
and audio analytics. It continually monitors behaviors and raises flags when there is a
change of light, suspicious objects, background voice activity, and browser window
changes.
Cheat Proof Online Live Tests: The administrator (NTA & NITTT) shall check live the
student’s taking the exam from their respective location. The system also prevents
cheating by prohibiting candidates from copying/pasting answers during the exam. The
Proctor shall be continuously watching each candidate remotely and shall send
notification(s) if anything suspicious is found at candidate end and each candidate is
required to follow the Proctor instructions, otherwise the Test of that candidate shall
be halted or called off. Candidates found involved in unfair practices, during the test,
the NTA UFM Committee may take disciplinary action against such candidates.
