DEBATE UNIFORM 3A

OPENING

We believe that students should wear uniforms when they go to school. Because wearing a uniform has a
fairly positive influence and function for students at school. The first positive influence is increasing student
discipline by obeying the rules that have been determined by the school, wearing shirts, skirts, pants, belts.
The second is the uniform is the identity of the school, by wearing the uniform other people will think we are
a student from Trimurti senior high school, this uniform makes us proud of our school. Third, by using
uniforms, students will feel comfortable when studying in class. Fourth, uniforms can create equality
between students, reducing peer pressure and bullying. Fifth, using a uniform can save time when
preparing to go to school, we immediately wear a uniform without thinking what outfit we will wear. The
sixth uniform makes us more focused on learning and not prioritizing outfits, because the average teenager
now thinks more about how to dress to attract people's attention, rather than thinking about lessons. and it
becomes one of the factors that students do not focus on learning.

REBUTTAL

- clothes can be a huge distraction if students are talking about what they're wearing instead of paying
attention in class. we should be focus on the thing we're supposed to be doing called learning

• School uniforms can have a negative effect on the psychology and actions of students in learning at
school. First, school uniforms limit students' freedom of expression. Students cannot express themselves
through the clothes they wear.

- there are some student that too expresive and  break the dress code. If student want to express themself
by wearing colorful clothes they can wear sports or colorful clothes after they come home from school

• Uniform can also be a burden for children from the lower middle class, because the price of uniforms is
classified as "not cheap", it is different if students and students wear free clothes, in that way students and
students from the lower middle class do not need to spend quite a lot of money to buy uniform.

- some families can't afford different and expensive clothes so if everyone has to wear the same thing then
everything will be equal and reduce bullying, no students will look richer or poorer than others also some
students spend way too much time shopping for clothes and obsessing about what to wear every morning

• Personally I believe that some students also find the uniforms less comfortable than the clothes they
usually wear, it could be one of the factors that interfere with learning.
- wearing uniforms teaches students responsibility they need to take care of their school clothes and keep
them clean. uniforms can also be memorable items when we graduate

•  By wearing loose clothes, students will feel more comfortable, they can also express the uniqueness that
exists in the soul of the younger generation, and make their mood improve, so they can maximize learning.

- students can show their school spirit by wearing their uniforms whic have the school colors also having
good uniforms as a way for schools to show students that they're important and that school is worth
dressing up for

CLOSING

In conclusion, students should wear uniforms because there are positive things and many benefits.
Uniforms are worn with the aim of being a school identity. Wearing a uniform every day at school trains us
to be disciplined. Wearing a uniform also trains us to get used to obeying the rules by wearing uniform
equipment such as ties, hats, belts, and socks. Wearing a uniform is also an obligation for students every
day. Not only that, wearing a uniform can provide comfort for students and can prevent differences
between friends. Wearing a uniform to school teaches us to look neat and clean. By wearing a uniform we
no longer need to think about what outfit we will wear when preparing to go to school. Many students are
also proud when wearing school uniforms. Uniforms are what make us different from every school and
every society. And those are some of the positives and benefits of using uniforms.
