What are the two major perceptions of time, and how does each affect international
business?

Answer

The two main perceptions of time are short time and many hours. How people view time in
business is important. Punctuality and punctuality are strict when managers focus on the
present. One activity flows into other activities, shortening the commitment and duration.
Managers tend to get impatient and want to end situations quickly. Time is money, and a
company's performance is usually measured quarterly. This is how we see it in America,
impatiently in a hurry. Americans are always looking at their cell phones and watches to see
what time they are in time for their next meeting and appointment. Canada and Australia also
have a monotonous view of time in business.
Time Porikuronikku perspective is more flexible. Countries like Japan, China, and Latin
America all have multi-time directions. The management of awareness of this time is more
focused on the future. This time management is more about long term employment, planning,
performance and family. Punctuality is not very important, and plans can change from time to
time.

What are the five dimensions that make up Hofstede’s model of culture?
Answer
The five aspects that make up Hohustede's cultural style are individualism and collectivism,
power distance, uncertainty avoidance, male and female, and long-term and short-term
orientation. The last dimension was added after the 1968 to 1972 survey of IBM employees.

1. Individualism and Collectivism: Describes whether individuals primarily act as individuals

or operate as part of a group. Unlike the United States, some countries are collectivist
societies, which means groups are more important than individualism. These countries
include China, Panama, and South Korea.
2. Distance of Power: How societies deal with mutual power inequality. Companies with far-
reaching power keep low-level employees from saying nothing. Low power, long-distance
companies strive to achieve the same goals, how equal their employees are.
3. Uncertainty Avoidance:
Tolerate the risks and uncertainties of life. USA, India, Ireland and Jamaica are all avoidance
countries with low uncertainty. These countries are accustomed to uncertainty, and people
don't think their jobs are stable. Avoidance countries with high uncertainty minimize risk and
ensure financial safety. Careers are more stable ambiguity is resolved. These countries
include Belgium, France and Japan.
4. Masculinity and Femininity:
Traditional male and female roles are based on the direction of society. Most cultures are
male by nature. The masculine culture values assertive ambition, and the accumulation of
wealth in both men and women. Women's culture emphasizes the nurturing, interdependence,
and caring of both men and women. Scandinavian countries have a women's culture along
with a highly developed welfare system and education is subsidized.
5. Long-term Orientation Short-term Orientation: Deferring satisfaction for people and
organizations to achieve long-term success. Long-term orientation culture takes a long-term
perspective on planning and life. Asian society is almost a long-term culture. The United
States and most Western countries emphasize a short-term orientation culture. The short-term
orientation culture lives in satisfaction as soon as it is today.

Distinguish between cultural metaphors and idioms.

Answer
Cultural metaphors are strongly associated with a particular society and mean unique
traditions and institutions. This definition is a guideline for understanding people's attitudes,
values and behaviors. For example, there is football. In this example, it is a cultural metaphor
of American tradition. That means you have a strong leader who can become a player on your
team and move your organization towards specific goals.
The idiom is an expression whose symbolic meaning differs from its literal meaning. When
an expression is interpreted literally, it means something entirely different from what it is
intended to mean. "I'm going to roll out the red carpet" has nothing to do with the carpet. it
means welcoming someone warmly.

international risk?
Answer
The Corruption Perceptions Index measures managers' perceptions of bribery, embezzlement
and other torts worldwide. Countries are ranked on a scale from 1 to 100. The lowest
percentile sick countries have the least corruption. Countries with minimal corruption appeal
to direct investment because managers know that the business of such countries is fair.

to consider whether commercial law is enforced fairly and properly, or that financial
