1. Install window server 2003 by 80% to Local disk D:\ and 20% to C:\
2. Configure server as DNS and Active directory for the server computer using the ABC.com as domain name
3. Configure server DHCP with range of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.15 and exculusion range 192.168.1.2 up to
192.168.1.5
4. Turn on windows firewall on the server pc
5. Create Organizational Unit by the name of site1
6. create two group on the Organizational Unit by the name of Finance group and
Accounting group
7. create user for finance group Hana, Melaku, Girma and for Accounting group Hiwot and Bekelle
8. give privilege for Hana and Bekelle to change password at first log-on
9. Give time limitations for accounting group to access computer from Saturday-Friday
(from 9:00Am -3:00PM).
10. Join the client -pc to the server-pc by the Name of ABC.COM
11. Create personal folder (home folder) and assign letter P for each user

1. Install Windows 2003 Server OS on the virtual Computer Server

3. Install Active directory (AD)and domain name service (DNS) and set domain controller
name ICT.lan
4. Install DHCP and Add exculpation range
5. Create two organizational units called ICT and Business in each organizational unit
create three users, in every OU one member must be given an access to log-on to the
server (Administrator privilege) and can configure the domain controller, all users will
not be allowed to log-on in the server the whole Saturday, and also at 12:00-2:00PM
every day except for the user with administrative account privilege (they are exempted in
the rules).
6. All user accounts will be lock for 1 hour after the 3 consecutive wrong entry of the
password and will be automatically unlock after 1 hour lock-out
7. Disable password complexity rule, set the password minimamum length to 5 characters.
8. Set not showing last user Account name when press ctrl + Alt + delete, Setting
message,mekelle poly extension class title to show up in a dialog box after users press
Ctrl-ALT-DEL at the log- in screen
9. Create a “Personal Folder” in the local disk of the server and create the share name for
each users, and assign it as their home folder and will be given a drive letter of P:\ the
folder could be hidden on the network and only the specific username has the rights to
access it
10. Create a logon script that will be able to give the following drive for each OU Members,
shared folders must be exclusively use only by each OU:
OU1 [ICT Group]
- Installers [I]
- TTLM [drive T]
OU2 [Business Group]
- TTLM [drive L]
- Installers [drive I]
11. Create roaming profile for every user
