B TRAILER POSITIONING Initials / Date

NOTE: The truck must remain on‐site until trailer positioning and elevation are complete.
Move the main trailer into position on the foundation in accordance
1
with the site plan.
Ensure the landing gear support locations are clean, flat, level and
2
sufficient to handle the loads.
Position the (10) landing gear support blocks underneath each
3
landing gear.

NOTE:
LANDING GEAR SUPPORT BLOCKS
It is recommended that a support block 8” to 10” thick be placed under each landing gear to minimize
travel. Minimal extension of the landing gear improves their support strength.
If the landing gear support blocks are not supplied by GE, they must be fabricated in accordance with GE
specifications.

C TRAILER ELEVATION & LEVELING Initials / Date

NOTE: Reference TP1000 – Trailer Transport Instruction for on‐site positioning and setup
instructions prior to performing leveling procedures, including Jeep, Stinger, and Gooseneck
removal, and instruction on how to operate pneumatic systems and landing gear.
1 Uncouple and remove the Stinger.
2 Lower the trailer and remove the rear axle suspension pins.
Raise the trailer, until the generator support pads are at a nominal
3 height greater than 73” (± ½”), and the turbine enclosure support
pads are at a nominal height greater than 51” (± ½”).
Lower the landing gear onto to the support blocks at Stations #1, #2,
#3 and #4 using the high gear crank.
4
Continue loading the landing gear by rotating five more turns using
the low gear crank until they take up weight.
Lower the landing gear at Station #5 until they are fully loaded.
5 Continue loading the landing gear by rotating five more turns using
the low gear crank until they take up weight.
Verify that the Station #1, #2, #3, and #4 pads are still level and within
6
tolerance.
7 Bleed the air brakes (first) and the air bags (last).
8 Uncouple and remove the Jeep and Gooseneck.

CAUTION:
RAISING THE TRAILER
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE LANDING GEAR BE USED TO RAISE THE TRAILER. THE
FUNCTION OF THE LANDING GEAR IN THIS APPLICATION IS TO SUPPORT THE TRAILER ON‐SITE, AND
PERFORM LEVELING DURING GAS TURBINE‐GENERATOR ALIGNMENT. THE TRAILER AIR SYSTEM MUST
BE USED FOR ALL HEIGHT ADJUSTMENTS.
LANDING GEAR ADJUSTMENTS MUST BE MADE IN EQUAL LEFT‐RIGHT MOVEMENTS.
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD
BLEED THE AIR BRAKES PRIOR TO BLEEDING THE AIR BAGS. IF THE AIR BAGS ARE BLED WHILE THE
BRAKES ARE STILL PRESSURIZED, THE TRAILER MAY “JUMP” FORWARD, AND BEND OR BREAK THE
LANDING GEAR.

D TURBINE PLATFORM TRANSIT MOUNT Initials / Date

During transit, the turbine platform is supported by the forward
transit mount and the turbine‐generator platform clevises.
The transit mount helps absorb shock encountered on the roadways.
1 Shims should be removed prior to transit, to allow the springs to
actuate.
Once on site, the turbine platform is supported by (4) wedge‐block
fixator mounts.

E TURBINE‐GENERATOR PLATFORM CLEVIS Initials / Date

Install and tighten the locking bolts in the turbine‐generator platform
clevis, as illustrated below.
These bolts must be removed during trailer transport to permit
flexing at the clevis.
1
The vertical, fore and aft, and lateral jackscrews in the clevis are
adjusted during turbine‐generator alignment.
Following final alignment, install shims in the clevis as required to
prevent misalignment.

F TURBINE PLATFORM FIXATOR MOUNTS Initials / Date

Install (4) wedge‐blocks and shims at the right and left, forward and
aft corners of the turbine platform.
1 Tighten the wedge blocks to prevent vertical movement of the
platform. Further adjustments to shimming may be required during
alignment.
NOTE: Use 50 ton jack rams for installation of shims.
Once the turbine enclosure is being supported by the fixators,
2
remove shims from the forward transit mount.
