1) INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this Method Statement is to provide methodology for 11kV cables relocation at
‘Multi Storey Car Park Building at BWTC Complex’ in compliance with Standard Specifications EDD
– MTC August 2015 and specification for the project.

2) SCOPE OF WORK

This Method Statement will define the scope of works for 11kV cables relocation, which
describes details of activities & execution involve in procedure under project specifications &
approved drawings.

3) LOCATION

As shown in the latest shop drawings.

 EDD MTC – August 2015

 Cable Tray and accessories – Approved by GEMAC


 Solid concrete support blocks – Approved by Engineers

5.3 Tools & Equipment

 Portable generator
 General tools
 Drill machine
 Metal cutting machine
 PPE
 Barricades
 Safety sign boards & warning lights

6) SEQUENCE/STAGE OF WORKS

 Arrange cable trays, tray accessories & concrete support blocks at site prior to shutdown
date.
 Shutdown will be agreed and work permit shall be issued by MODA team.
 Mark the roof demolishing line
 Provide new route marking (2 mtr away from demolishing line)
 Request for Permit to work to be submitted to Moda Mall facility Team.
 After approval of work permit arrange to dismantle existing unused cable tray and pipes
and make the route for cable tray clear.
 Co-ordinate with Moda Mall Facility for disconnection of power to Feeder Pillar cables and
disconnection.
 Install the new cable trays and make ready the cable tray needed for the tie in with existing
cable tray
 Obtain final approval from consultant and Moda Mall Facility Team.
 Request for another work permit to work on the existing 11KV cable at roof.
 Make loose the existing cable tray covers by removing the screws
 Request for shutdown. Duration – 6Hrs.

 Organize manpower/ material/machines etc. on the day of approved shutdown.


 Co-ordinate with Moda Mall HV Engineer for switching activities.

The above activities need to be completed prior to the shutdown


 Provide shutdown and issue “Permit To Work”
 Once it’s done immediately lift the cable from existing tray and move to new tray
 Install the covers
 Re-energize the cable
 House keeping
