Subject: Evidence of inverter support for IEEE 2030.5/Rule 21 CSIP Phase 2 and
Phase 3 Function 1 and 8 Functionality

Dear Kevin Lu,

This letter confirms that CSA Group witnessed the Appendix C testing listed in
Resolution E-5000 from the California Public Utilities Commission Draft dated July 11,
2019 (as modified by Resolution E5036) under the CSA project 80037979. The
Resolution requires the verification of five test cased for inverters that do not directly
implement IEEE 2030.5 client functionality. During the tests, the inverter is to be
connected to a SunSpec Certified IEEE 2030.5/CSIP gateway. The five tests are listed
below and specified in the SunSpec IEEE 2030.5/CSIP test procedures:

 Inverter Status (BASIC-028)

 Inverter Meter Reading (BASIC-029)
 Basic Inverter Control – Volt/Var (BASIC-006)
 Basic Inverter Control – Fixed Power Factor (BASIC-008)
 Basic Inverter Control – Volt-Watt (BASIC-011)

The tests were performed on the Grid Support Utility Interactive Microinverter on
3/14/2020 with the ECU (https://sunspec.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/SunSpec-
APSystems-certificate-CS-000012.pdf) model number ECU-R to connected to Grid
Support Utility Interactive Microinverter Inverter model number QS1/QS1200 bearing
the serial number 801002160022 which is used to represent the inverter models below:

The inverter under test was subjected to testing conditions as follows:
 The inverter was operating during test harness verification procedure
 The ECU was given stimuli in the form of IEEE 2030.5 commands (Inverter
Status, Inverter Meter Reading, Volt/VAR, Fixed Power Factor, and Volt/Watt)
sent from an IEEE 2030.5 server that were subsequently translated to signals
understood by the inverter.
 The inverter parameters were verified: a) to change during the test cases for
Volt-VAR, Fixed Power Factor, and Volt-Watt and b) report monitored data during
the test cases for Inverter Status and Inverter Meter Reading. Based on this
procedure, the requirements from Appendix C of the resolution were verified.

Con base en el artículo 76 de la Ley Federal sobre Metrología y Normalización y 83 de su reglamento, así como también en lo
dispuesto en la norma oficial mexicana NOM-106-SCFI-VIGENTE "Caracteríticas de diseño y condiciones de uso de la contraseña
oficial", los productos amparados por esta certificación deberán, según el caso, ostentar la contraseña que denota el cumplimiento
con la Norma Oficial Mexicana vigente y aplicables cuando así proceda.

CLAUSULAS:
Una vez autorizado por la Asociación, el titular podrá ostentar la marca ANCE, mediante etiquetas, estampado u otro
procedimiento que la haga ostensible e indeleble en cada unidad de los productos que ampara este certificado de conformidad,
bajo las especificaciones establecidas por la misma.
1. La contraseña oficial NOM y/o la marca ANCE deberá ostentarse, una vez que la Asociaci ón haya dado su autorización de uso
correspondiente sobre esta última, de acuerdo a los requisitos y especificaciones establedicos para ello, mediante etiquetas,
estampado y otro procedimiento que la haga ostensible e indeleble en cada unidad de los productos que ampara este certificado.
2. El titular de este certificado se compromete a respetar las condiciones de uso, tanto del propio certificado como de la
contraseña oficial NOM y/o la marca ANCE.
3. El titular del certificado debe garantizar que los productos certificados, que ostentan la contrase ña oficial NOM y/o marca
ANCE, cumplen con las especificaciones establecidas en la Norma Oficial Mexicana aplicable.
4. Ni este certificado, ni el uso de la contrase ña oficial NOM y/o la marca ANCE, sustituyen en ningún caso la garantía del
cumplimiento del producto en los términos de la legislación y las normas aplicables en vigor.
5. El certificado será cancelado, cuando:
- Las especificaciones técnicas en las que se basa el certificado dejan de ser aplicables.
- Se incurra en mal uso del certificado o de la marca ANCE.
- Se incurra en un incumplimiento con la norma aplicable, durante el plazo de vigencia establecido en el certificado.
- El titular del certificado ingrese dicha petición por escrito.
6. Todo empleo indebido del certificado, ya sea del titular o de un tercero, dará derecho a una acci ón jurídica por parte de
ANCE.
7. La(s) fracción(es) arancelaria(s) son responsabilidad del titular del certificado.
8. El titular de la certificación debe informar a ANCE de cualquier cambio en su estructura, direcci ón, propietarios o
representantes legales de la empresa.
