Materials: Desktop, Webcam, Headphones, and Slide Presentation
PROCEDURE
Engage/Explore: (visual spatial, verbal linguistic, and bodily kinesthetic)
Motivation: The teacher will initiate a short exercise for the body that is effective since
the students are most of the time seated in classes.
                    Exercises include:
                            o Head bend
                            o Shoulder rotation
                            o Arm stretch
                            o Hip bend

After the exercise, cool down will be implemented and the teacher will ask a question
about the importance of exercise to them and their online classes. Some might respond to
help the body function effectively and efficiently.
Day 1
        Discussion: (visual spatial, verbal linguistic)
Review: the different components of physical fitness: health-related fitness and skill-
                         related fitness
Describe the importance of being physically fit
                      Identify the different training principles
o Overload refers to the amount of load or resistance on the body.
o Progression refers to the way you should increase the load.
Explain the FITT principle (this tells us how to safely apply the basic principles of
                         training)
o Frequency refers to how often an individual performs the targeted health-related
                                    physical activity.
o Intensity refers to how hard an individual does the activity during the allotted
                                    period
o Type refers to the kind or specific physical activity to be done to improve a
                                    targeted fitness component
o Time refers to the length or duration of the physical activity.
Day 2
        Discussion: (visual spatial, verbal linguistic)
Review: The different training principles and the FITT principles
Identify the different barriers to physical fitness
o The person does not have goals
o No schedule set for training
o Improper diet associated with exercise
                                o No monitoring of progress
State various ways to improve one’s fitness and health
o Make exercise a part of your habit

o Support exercise routine with healthful lifestyle
                                o Get workout partner
o Make sure that you have time to work out even on your rest day
Explain some skill-related components of physical fitness
o Agility is the ability of the body to change direction quickly
o Coordination is the ability of your senses altogether
o Power is the ability of your body to exert force quickly
        Extend/Elaborate:
Importance of Lesson/Application: Learning about the importance of being physically
fit, one must engage to it by means of learning the different principles to assure that your
exercise program will be effective and will attain the goals you have set for yourself.
Values Integration: Health awareness and discipline
Guide question: What is the importance of being physically fit?
        Generalization:
Training principles to remember are Overload and Progression
FITT means Frequency, Intensity, Type, and Time
Barriers to physical fitness must be overcome to achieve success in your exercise
                        program
EVALUATION
Day 2 (visual spatial, verbal linguistic)
Create an exercise program following the FITT Principle over the week, starting from
                            Sunday
Identify what exercise/s you will do per day.
Make sure to write specific exercises and your goals will be at the end of the exercise
                            program
Submit on Google Classroom – Nov. 16
ASSIGNMENT (visual spatial, verbal linguistic, and bodily-kinesthetic)
PERFORMANCE TASK. Video record yourself doing exercises for skill-related fitness
Agility – Shuttle Run; Coordination – Alternate Hand Wall Toss; Power – Standing Long Jump
Make sure that you properly execute and time your movements. Record your time and write it on
                   your notebook
                  Editing is allowed
