a mano en casa como el diccionario o libros. Adicional, si cuenta con el acceso a internet
podrá complementar con tutoriales en YouTube, diccionarios online:
www.wordreference.com. Las tutorías se realizarán por chat (Moodle) en primera instancia y
dependiendo el caso, vía telefónica, whatsApp o google meet, según horario establecido. Lo
más importante, la actitud positiva que usted le ponga para desarrollar el trabajo y recuerde

I. EXPLANATION:

Concept: An adjective is a word that goes and modifies a noun. Also, adjectives are words
that qualify characteristics of people, animals, things, cities, etc.
Examples:
The tall man A happy child

A dark Street A Spanish woman

The red ball The glass table

A cold Winter A furry animal

An elegant party The great landscape

II. GRAMMATICAL RULES


Adjectives before nouns
When adjectives come in a noun phrase they are normally immediately before the noun.
ALSO, the adjective can go after these verbs:

To be My mom is hardworking
To look He looks scared
To become Jason became a grumpy man
To seem She seems a nice person
To taste It tastes sweet
To feel Miguel feels hungry today

Categorizing the Adjectives

ADJECTIVE ORDER COMING BEFORE A NOUN:

EXAMPLES:
• It’s a small, rectangular, wooden box.
• I want to buy a stylish, black, woollen coat.
• She’s bought a gorgeous, light-brown, Swedish sofa

III. PRACTICING

IV. Homework: Create a list of 25 adjectives (the ones you use the most in your daily
life). Then, write a text of 10 lines to talk about a shopping experience you have had.

Yesterday I was in the supermarket with my family doing the end of the year
purchases, they delegated me to buy all the elementals and galguerías while they
bought the cleaning utensils I began to walk the aisles and there I found large, small,
short pasta , yellow, white, German and French, to which I decided to take the large
and French. Later I found instead of the oils where I took the largest, thick, clear
gourmet cooking oil, when I got to the meat area there were round, square, beef and
chicken, and in this case I had both types of meats, in the same way next to the meats
were the bags of rice, there were small, medium, large, national and international, to
which I decided to take national rice and finally pass through the candy sector, when I
got there I be pleasantly surprised to find wonderful, delicious, big, small, new, old,
round, square, red, green, black, yellow, French, Italian, American, Swiss, caramel,
chocolate sweets for after every dinner.
