Engaging Education Stakeholders

Stakeholders play an important role in education and should be involved in meaningful ways. Collaboration with stakeholders must focus on student learning and achievement, with transparent sharing of data and goals. There are several ways to engage stakeholders, such as providing them with needed information, aligning partnership activities with achievement goals, ensuring efforts are collaborative and genuine with clear roles, and operating from shared values and a common vision for student success driven by data. All interested parties that can impact the education system, including faculty, community members, and families, are crucial as stakeholders can positively impact children's learning environment through collaboration, idea-sharing, and working toward shared goals and plans.

1. How do you involved stakeholders in education?

Collaboration with stakeholders must focused squarely on what schools are there for,
which is the student learning as well as about the transparent dialog on the need that many
schools need to improve student learning. There are several ways on how we engage
stakeholders in education which are the following;

 The staff must take the lead to provide stakeholders the data and other
information they need to be productive partners around student achievement.
 Partnership activities must be directly aligned with student achievement goals.
 Efforts must be collaborative and genuine. There are meaningful roles for each
party to play and these must be clearly articulated.
 Information sharing must be transparent. Achievement data must be clear,
accurate, and meaningful.
 All parties must operate from common values and a common vision for student
achievement.
 All efforts must be mission-oriented and data-driven.

2. What are the importance of stakeholders?

A stakeholder can be defined as an individual, a group of individuals, or an

organization that can affect and is interested in a certain system. With regards in
education, each interested party forms an integral part of a specific school or the entire
educational system. So, basically, all of them are crucial for the professional development
of education, as they can have a positive impact or, on the contrary, lead to
failure .Different stakeholders, whether it be faculty, community members, or family, can
significantly improve children's education environment if they collaborate and share their
ideas, goals, and plans.
