Canada

Canada is situated in North America. Being located in the


northern part of the continent, Canada extends from the Arctic
Ocean to the United States, and from the Atlantic Ocean to the
Pacific Ocean. Canada is the largest country in North America
and the second largest in the world after Russia. Despite
Canada’s great size, it is one of the world’s most populated
countries. Canada has two official languages: English and
French. A great range of plant and animal life characterizes the
vast area of Canada, with its varied geographic and climatic
zones. Canada has a wide variety of climates. A considerable
part of Canada’s territory is covered with forests, and this made
possible for the country to become a major exporter of timber,
wood pulp and newsprint.The fihing industry is characteristic of
Canada as well as effective farming. The people here enjoy a
very high standard of life owing, in part,to rich mineral
resources of gold, silver, iron ore, nickel,copper, cobalt,
uranium, lead, zinc as well as petroleum and natural gas. The
country’s capital city is Ottawa. There are many cities in Canada
such as: Toronto,Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver,Quebec,
Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton, etc... Canada,being one of the
world’s wealthiest countries and an important tourist
destination, attracts millions of people from all over the world.
Some of most visited places in Canada are the Niagara Falls and
the observation CN Tower in Toronto. Canada has earned
international respect for its strong diplomatic skills, peace
keeping efforts, and for respect of human rights.
