Fortune on Wheels

Read the paragraph below, then carefully study on what your decisions would be if you
were in the situation.

Your good deed of returning a case of jewelries and diamonds you accidentally
found on a public transport was rewarded by a rich businessman. He gave you a huge
amount of money that will surely change your life. Your next move is to use the money
wisely, and to make sure that every move you make leads to a promote common good. In
making such decision, what are your considerations? Why?

List down some of your expenditures. Is it worth your money? Why? At this time of
pandemic, what should be your priorities? Do you find it hard to come up with a
decision? Why? Why not?

• The very first thing I'll do is notify my parents of my current situation so that we can plan
something that will make every expense worthwhile.
• We’ll do some business to earn money
• We’ll buy what we need one at a time

• I made that decision after considering the benefits it would have on our way of
life.

• My family but mostly my mom.

• Yes, since those choices may lead to our success.

Two of your friends are having conflict and often disturb your peace of mind. How would you
handle this situation?

• I will assist in resolving whatever problem they are discussing and will also
attempt to calm them down.

Describe a time you made an unpopular decision. How did you handle the feedback? How
would you have handled the situation differently?
• When there was a time, I overwork myself when I already know that I’m very
tired and I got sick after that day. I take my time and give myself a long rest.

Do you usually make better decisions alone or with a group? Why? When do you ask for ask for
help?
• I typically make better judgments on my own because all I have to think about is
myself; I'll seek for help if there's something I don't understand or can't
accomplish on my own.

In your experience, when you’re working on a group project, do you make the most decisions or
do you prefer to step back and follow someone else’s guidelines?

• It depends on what type of group project it is

In areas under General Community Quarantine, many have opened business establishments
amidst the rising cases of Covid-19. However, health protocols are implemented to ensure
public safety so that usual business transactions continue. Our economy is badly affected by
this worldwide health crisis but life moves on, citizens are caught in between working for a living
or staying at home for safety health reasons. What is your stand on this?

• Some health measures, such as social separation, are not being followed, which
may lead the Covid-19 positive record to climb. Unless we're planning to buy
something or have a job outside, it's best if we just stay at home.

 It is quite easy

I believe that the most important factors to consider while making decisions
are yourself and your advantages.
3. Who are the people that mostly influence your decisions? Why?
 My parents, because some of my decisions required their approval.
4. Does this pandemic situation somehow affect your decision-making? How?
 Yes, since it restricts what I want to accomplish.

In making a career choice, it is important to come up with a sound decision. How do you
do it? Who are the significant others who can help you? Try to identify the particular
person/s or institution/s as being asked below. Do this on a sheet of paper.

Family - Asking for their help or suggestion may help you to make a decision.

Peers/Classmates - The influence of this person is very helpful in making decisions.

Institutions - Joining this type of society or foundation is a big help.

Other resources - Through social media or I can say with the help of internet.
