The document discusses the origins and history of the Holy Grail according to literature and historians. The Holy Grail is traditionally believed to be the cup that Jesus drank from at the Last Supper and was later used by Joseph of Arimathea to collect Jesus's blood at the crucifixion. Legends portray the Holy Grail as possessing miraculous healing powers and granting eternal youth and happiness to those who possessed it, such as in the tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Historians trace the origins of the Holy Grail to pre-Christian Celtic mythology as well as Christian legend.
