Throughout the tenure of my internship followings were my roles and responsibilities:
i. Track progress of other interns mainly in graphic designing, HR, Content writers etc.
ii. Prepare word, excel and power point document
iii. Post new positions for various domains on different websites including LinkedIn, naukri.com,

ANALYSIS:
There are certain things one should take care of while opting for this profile (HR):
Verbal and written communication skills.
Iinterpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge about HRIS and Talent Management System.
One should be perfectly fine and good working with a team and collaborations.
12
For the role of HR, specific skills related to technological aptitude should also be known. Many
HR pr0fessionals make all kinds of decisions without looking at the numbers—their job revolves
ar0und the0ries and politics.
Time management is also an important criterion not only in HR but in every domain in order to
prioritize your task according to its importance.
Another vital criterion is Ethics, being an HR, you have the access to corporate information so it
becomes important that they refrain from gossiping about this information and maintain their
professionalism at all times.
13
In this analysis I also noticed some hurdles and challenges in this profile such as:
i. Employment Engagement- Sometimes being an HR you often find difficulty in engaging your
interns/employees. The term denotes the levels of an employee’s satisfaction with his job which
in turn gives bad output or result to the company.
14
ii. Cyber insecurity- Since last 2 years every aspect of business is being conducted digitally therefor
all the data and information is vulnerable to cyber-attack.
iii. Employee retention- It has become very difficult to retain company’s employees or interns
nowadays. With a huge variety of employment options today, employees have numerous
available opportunities.
iv. Change management- Sometimes, sudden changes in the management be it related to law,
policies or anything leads to change in the Decision by
HR.
v. Staffing challenges- It basically includes hiring process, recruiting through non traditional
challenges etc. and sometimes this creates hurdles in the process.
vi. Environmental changes- This includes economical factor, political factor, technological factor
and social factor.
vii. Employee concern- Sometimes there are many hurdles related to employees and the management
such as background diversity, age distribution, employees’ rights, privacy etc.
15
Chapter-4
Learning Outcome
From this internship I got to learn many different things about HR by playing different roles in this
internship.
1. An HR should be very patient with all the things, because sometimes any circumstances arise
wherein one have to deal patiently rather than being harsh and vice versa.
2. Another important aspect is that an HR has to be a good Coordinator. He/she is responsible for
facilitating all key HR functions and programs. They usually report to the HR director and their work
revolves around improving HR policies, processes, and practices.
3. Next is good Communication HR communications can help make employees feel like they matter
to the organization. HR provides employees the information they need for the organization.
4. One of the important elements is being adaptive to the change. An HR should be very much
adaptive to the things or circumstances come their way. Successfully adapting the change generally
involves effective management through planning, training, development and evaluation.
5. One should Effectively manage and plan key human resource functions within organizations.
16
6. One should Examine current issues, trends, practices, and processes in HRM.
7. One should Contribute to employee performance management and organizational effectiveness.
8. One should be a Problem-solver whenever and wherever it is needed in human resource
challenges.
9. Apart from all these, an HR should know to analyze Job detail and description because at the end
of the day, an HR is the one who has to keep all the job portals updated whenever goes for hiring.
10. He/she should be very good in judging people while interviewing them for their respective
profile.
11. He should depend on his formal authority alone. In fact, an effective HR manager earns his informal
authority of influencing people through his interpersonal skills.
12. He/she should have good leadership skills to guide the employees towards achieving the
organization’s objectives. He should also keep people motivated and encourage them to use their skills for
the overall good of the enterprise.
13. Throughout my working experience in the company I observed my mentor’s problem-solving skill.
Whenever we had any issue related to anything, in order to clear that doubt he used to conduct daily
meetings for clearance.
17
14. I also observed how dedicated and humble he was towards the work and towards his employees as
well. He never neglected anyone due to his/her bad or low performance at work.
