o The children will grab their dancing ribbon and they will
dance along to the song.
 
 Materials

o Bluetooth Speaker
o Cell Phone
o YouTube/ Spotify to play the “Shake your silly’s out” song
 
 
 Scaffolding (child’s prior knowledge to build on):

o This experience will be focusing on children’s prior


knowledge of dancing and singing along to a song,
vocabulary words put into action, and using action words to
express meaning by using their body.
 
 Plan for carrying out experience (what caregiver will do):

o The caregiver will be participating in the experience by


modeling and encouraging children to sing and dance along
to the song.
 

Assessment

A. How would you be able to determine the success of this activity?


o I will be able to determine the success of this activity by
observing how the children are engaged; if they do not seem
interested, that means that this experience was not successful
at the moment.

 
B.  Do you feel children’s knowledge based on this experience?  (Do I
see this new knowledge being learned in other areas)?
o I was able to see how they were able to dance along to the
song by listening to the sounds and cues, and watching the
teacher and me. Although there were new vocabulary words,
they were able to connect them because of the action of the
word. For example, the song they normally do tells them to
hop, while the song I provided for them tells them to jump.
