3.
1 Methods of Research Used
Exploratory research is the research type that is used for this research. This technique aids in the
analysis and presentation of information in a certain manner. It is carried out to gain a better
knowledge of the current problem, but the results will not be conclusive. For this type of study, a
researcher begins with a broad concept and uses the research to discover difficulties that can be
the subject of future study. A key consideration here is that the researcher must be willing to shift
course if new information or insight becomes available. When a problem is still in its early
stages, such study is frequently conducted. It's also known as grounded theory or interpretative
research since it's used to address questions like "what," "why," and "how." We had to conduct
our research utilizing descriptive techniques, which included the use of questionnaires, personal
interviews, and other methods. We have conducted a web-based survey through Google Forms
with some questionnaires developed by us to collect the data from the respondents. We made the
questionnaire in the goggle form and posted it in various student groups in social media to collect
the data. In this report, we investigated the relationship between customer satisfaction at Food
panda with its independent variables such as digital payment, delivery time, maintaining proper
hygiene, customer service & user interface of app website. We have used secondary data like
data from journals and primary data like internet survey or self-administered questionnaires in
the survey research that required the respondents to fill in by themselves. (Swedberg, R., 2020)
3.2 Respondents and Sampling Procedures
A population is a group of human or nonhuman entities that includes artifacts, academic
institutions, time units, geographic regions, prices, and incomes earned by individuals. (Hatch,
M.J., 2011)
3.3 Research Instruments of a Questionnaire
A prepared questionnaire or internet survey based on the framework and past studies will be used
as the research method for this investigation. The closed-form inquiry enables respondents to
make quick decisions by selecting from a variety of possibilities. (Zikmund, 2013) For options
relevant to our questions, we utilized the Five-Point Likert Scale first, followed by the nominal
and ordinal scales. A Likert scale is an attitude or satisfaction measure that shows how strongly
respondents are satisfied or dissatisfied with properly constructed statements ranging from highly
positive to very negative to an attitude object. (Zikmund, 2013)
3.4 Collection of Data
Primary Data: We have collected our primary data through web-based application called
Google Forms. We have conducted a survey based on a questionnaire developed by us for our
primary data collection.
Secondary Data: We have also collected secondary data from several conference papers, journal
papers, books, online databases sites like Academia, Research gate and other websites.
3.5 Statistical Treatment of Data
The statistical handling of data adds to the importance of the research report. To draw a
conclusion to the investigation, the raw data should be examined using statistical procedures. For
sorting and analyzing the input obtained from respondents, we used two software programs.
(Glasow, 2005)
After receiving the feedback from the respondents, we have used two statistical tools named
IBM Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and Microsoft Excel to sort, analyze, and
interpret the collected data. We have collected the feedback through Google Forms, and then we
input the collected feedback to the IBM SPSS and Microsoft Excel to analyze the data.
Descriptive analysis is done and presented after analyzing the collected data.
