Subject: REQUEST TO AVAIL OF A TRAINING PROGRAM TOWARD A


MASTER’S/DOCTORATE DEGREE

(Thru PCL Legislative Academy/University of Makati Program)

Dear Mayor Engr. Lagnada:

Greetings!

I, member of 14th SP of Butuan City, would like to respectfully request for assistance
in order for me to avail of a training offered by PCL Legislative Academy under its
LADERIZED GOVERNANCE TRAINING PROGRAM which I am interested to attend for
career enhancement and for the benefit of public service;

Some of the members of the SP Butuan were able to attend the whole day orientation
Workshop-Seminar held at Butuan Grand Palace Hotel, Capitol drive cor. Montalban st.
Butuan City on August 16, 2017 pursuant to an invitation of PCL Legislative Academy
(PCLLA) in cooperation and conjunction with the University of Makati, offered to all
incumbent councillors (City and Municipal) including incumbent Vice Mayors and Support
Staff to finish a baccalaureate degree and (for elected officials) to further their studies
(masters and doctorate course) relative to and connected with local governance, business
administration and accountability.

I am convinced that such course and training is relevant and necessary in


accomplishing my task, together with other members of SP Butuan, in nation-building and I

am certain that the said post graduate course under said program will be beneficial
ultimately to public service. The said program will be finished in just one (1) year time.

I have doubt if I can sustain the financial requirements and enjoy the benefits of this
program without additional financial help from your good office, hence, I have written this
letter hoping that I can be assisted financially to shoulder the necessary expenses for me to
be able to participate in this once in a lifetime program.

The PCLLA – UMA program will commence on September 15, 2017, and on every
weekend of every other month until next year of the same month with the participants being
provided with adequate materials, tools, and seminar of relevant topics by the professors and
lecturers from PCLLA and UMA providing us with the required training certificate for each
modules. The financial requirements for the entire course is hereby attached as reference
approximately requiring a Php 7,000.00 for each participant for a 12-month period.

I earnestly hope that my request will be given approval and due consideration for the
good of public service and pursuant to the current City’s program to promote employee’s
welfare, improve my competency and skills, build my confidence and work for further
enhancement of my career in government service.

I am hoping for a favourable consideration of this request.
