I. Introduction
There was a newly built telecommunications facility in Antipolo Rizal and
Engineer Lorenzo de Guzman, an Electronics Engineering graduate was assigned by
his immediate superior, the VP for operations to head that facility and he was
given three months to make the facility operational. The Kundiman
Communications Corporation (KCC) Company’s top management is composed of the
President, VP for Marketing, VP for Operations, and the VP for Administration.
It is a local company with more than 2,000 persons in its payroll. Engineer de
Guzman assessed that for the Antipolo unit to operate, it will require the
services of a number of persons skilled in the various activities that will be
undertaken.
Engineer de Guzman has ten years of experience with KCC (five years in the
field and five years in the office), therefore he is familiar with many facets
of the company's operations. Three of the key cops and some of the supervisors
are his pals. Engineer de Guzman was evaluating the building in Antipolo where
he will work when he pondered whether he might persuade upper management to
move some of his colleagues from the head office to his new position.
Engineer de Guzman believed that the different trainings he received from KCC
had adequately prepared him for the technical components of his new position.
His exposure to the many units at the main office will help him with the
administrative parts of his job in certain ways. His education and experiences,
however, have not equipped him with the necessary knowledge.
To find skilled people to fill the different jobs that will be created. To
begin with, he lacks knowledge on the quantity and nature of the positions that
will be created. Engineer de Guzman understands that the performance of the new
facility he is in charge of will determine his future promotion. He believed
that if he could just find the appropriate people, his work would be relatively
easy. With this in mind, he considered his first course of action.

II. Case Story
The Kundiman Communications Corporation (KCC) is a local company with more
than 2,000 persons in its payroll. The company’s top management is composed of
the President, VP for Marketing, VP for Operations, and the VP for
Administration.
A member of the staff, Engineer Lorenzo de Guzman, an electronics engineering
graduate, has just received an order from his immediate superior, the VP for
Operations, to head the newly built telecommunications facility in Antipolo,
Rizal. So far, he is the only company personnel identified with the new
facility. He was given three months to make the facility operational.
Engineer de Guzman appraised that for the Antipolo unit to operate, it will
require the services of a number of persons skilled in the various activities
that will be undertaken.
As he has been working with KCC for ten years (five years in the field and
five years in the head office), Engineer de Guzman is familiar with many
aspects of the firm’s operation. Some of the supervisors and three of the key
officers are his friends.
Engineer de Guzman felt that the various trainings KCC provided him had
really prepared him well for the technical aspects of his new job. His exposure
to the different units at the head office will also be useful in some ways to
the administrative aspects of his position. However, his trainings and
experiences have not provided him with the expertise to recruit qualified
persons to occupy the various positions that will be created.
To begin with, he does not even have the information on the number and nature
of the positions to be created.

As he was inspecting the building in Antipolo where he will hold office,
Engineer de Guzman wondered if he could convince top management to transfer
some of his acquaintances in the head office to his new assignment.
Engineer de Guzman knows that his next promotion will depend much on the
success of the new facility under his direction. He thought that if he could
only get the right persons, his job would not be too difficult. With this in
mind, he pondered on what his first move must be.
III. Statement of the Problem
Our group stated two problems first, how does engineer De Guzman hire
qualified personnel in various newly created positions? Second, how will he be
able to know the data regarding to the number of required faculty and their
work depictions?
IV. Conclusion
Our group concludes that, he may inquire the administration around the
numbers and positions required within the recently built company. Besides, he
may look for offer assistance from his companions and inquire those alluded
experts that will possess the assigned occupations. Finally, he may go to a
workshop that will pick up experience and information in recruiting.
V. Recommendation
The finest thing that Design de Guzman can do is to go to a few courses that
will pick up his experiences in enlisting some employees that would fit the
positions within the company. In this way, he can investigate his thoughts
about choosing the proper individuals that can offer assistance for him or the
company to be fruitful.

Additionally, he can communicate to other individuals what are the things
that he would do or considered about choosing the proper individual.
