Answer questions about the story and predict what will happen next
Offer their own examples of morals and listens to the rest of the class .
Draw pictures and write sentences demonstrating their understanding of the lesson.

Before Reading
tell children you are going to read a story that people have loved so much they have been telling it for
hundreds of years examine the cover and the title Reading
What do you think this is going to be about?
What does it say "retold by"?
Make a connection with the children's exexperience
Do you know the story of Cinderella
It is probably one of the most well known fairy tales .Let's find out why

During Reading
Read the text with the children encouraging them to join in with their reading when they think they
know the words
Before turning the page and carried the children to predict what will happen next .
Discuss text features such as speech punctuation
How do we know who is talking H ow do we know where the talk starts and end?
