• After serving as the assistant of a French ophthalmologist, Jose Rizal
went to Germany in order to further his studies in ophthalmology

• He became an ophthalmologist at the University Eye Hospital under
Dr. Otto Becker
• Jose Rizal also attended the lectures conducted by Dr. Otto Becker

managed to visit some tourist spots in Heidelberg like the Heidelberg
