Distribution resource planning (DRP) is a method used in business administration
for planning orders within a supply chain. DRP enables the user to set certain
inventory control parameters (like a safety stock) and calculate the time-phased
inventory requirements .Other than that ,the DRP system also provides
information that identifies need dates, restock dates, and order dates for
material requirements. .
Material requirement planning
The store manager sends all necessary raw materials to the distribution centre,
including poultry, potatoes, vegetables, oil, and other incidental items. It contains
dry goods, frozen food, and wet products and products with a short shelf life, such
as bread and vegetables. Dry products and frozen items are normally ordered on a
weekly basis, whereas wet products are ordered every 2-4 days, depending on
demand.
Procurement planning
Procurement planning is the process of identifying requirements and
determining the time frames for their procurement.
In our case ,After examining the available inventory at the distribution centre, the
accuracy of the demand presented in terms of variations, and so on, the buying
plan is decided. The orders are forwarded to the vendors after they have been
confirmed and verified for authenticity.

Distribution Planning is a systematic approach to ensure that the
process encompassing the delivery of goods to different distribution
centres is done properly keeping in mind which goods are to be
supplied in what quantity at what location in the desired time. In kfc , the
raw supplies are distributed when the order quantities have been thoroughly
verified. It is accomplished by taking into account the capacity sanction, mode and
route of transportation, fuel rate, and other factors. It is also assured that
maximum efficiency is obtained at the lowest possible cost.
inventory file,
inventory file is a document containing listings, usually electronic, of every item in
a company's inventory, including items in stock or expected to be in stock
shortly.In kfc, The inventory file is carefully and routinely updated by the team in
order to maintain an efficient supply chain. This information is then utilised to
determine the quantity of the order.
supply resource file
The supply resource file is used to track the supply side of the supply chain and
displays the arrival time on the supplier side. This information represents the
supplier's timeliness, order processing time, and distribution centre capability.
Establish Key Supplier Relationship
Kfc has to establish and maintain a productive relationship with all the key suppliers.
This is can be done by KFC because it is to ensure direct communication between the
partners. Being able to deliver value while passing through the supply chain system,
the commitment of all the key suppliers and partners to upholding a high standard of
service and operations is what makes all the difference between a good and a great
service
Establish a Governing Council
Governing body is the group of people given the power and authority to form the
policy and overlook the companies opertions .So what they do is From planning to
execution, the governing council in KFC’s supply chain management will ensure that
everything is done to meet the company’s commitment of on-time delivery of fresh
fried chicken to its customers without compromising on quality
