In this video, I am going to
give a speech about Personal Health. My speech will cover a few interesting topics like what
are the tips to have a healthy lifestyle. Next, I will talk about the comparison of fitness and
health. Last but not least, I will talk about the effect of regular exercise to the body health.
Most important tip for a healthy body is to have healthy food and eat it at the proper time.
Avoid eating junk food. None of the nutrients are available in these junk foods so there is no
point in having them. Your diet should contain food which has more nutrients. Try to include
leafy vegetables, fresh vegetables, fruits, milk, and fish in your daily diet. Make sure you are
having your breakfast regularly. Skipping your breakfast regularly will definitely affect your
health. If the water content in your body goes low then it will lead to dehydration. So to keep
the body healthy make sure you drink more water daily.
Exercise also pays a vital role in keeping your body healthy. Regular exercise will also keep
your body in good health. By exercise it doesn’t mean a simple and slow walk. It should be in
such a way that your body should start sweating. You can go running, cycling, walking faster
etc. Daily find some time 30 minutes to one hour per day for your exercise. Have a regular
checking of your weight and try to control it. It’s nice to have Medical checkups and dental
checkups by which you can have an idea about your health condition.
Apart from these, always try to manage your stress. Most people due to stress at work have
health problems. By controlling your stress you can maintain a healthy body. Bad habits like
smoking, drinking, drug use should be avoided. Usage of these items will have a very bad
effect on your health. Your body should get enough time to rest. Make sure you get 8 hours
of sleep daily. Sleep is very important for a healthy body and also for mental and emotional
happiness.
Fitness and health seems to be the same for everyone but they have entirely two different
meanings. Fitness can be defined as the physical ability to perform work, sports etc with ease.
While health is a condition in which the body should have resistance capacity from all illness
and all parts of the body should work fine without any problem. Your body should possess
both fitness as well as health. Men and ladies are equally concerned about your body. They
want their body to be fit and healthy.
Due to more demand for fit and healthy bodies many gyms and workout centers are opened.
To maintain a healthy and fit body primarily requires self control and will power. Many
factors can divert us from achieving our goal of having a fit and healthy body. But never
deviate and focus on it and try achieving their goal as all knows Health is wealth.
Health can be maintained by proper diet, exercise and hygiene. But in the other case to keep
your body you need to do proper exercise. Usually sports people will have a fit body. They
shape their body in such a way that it will be fit for their respective sport. But coming to a
healthy body it is just a matter of controlling weight and making your body immune to
diseases. Some people will try to make their body fit so vigorously that they will not think
about their diet and health. This creates a problem. So always make sure your body is healthy
and fit. Compared to a healthy body, fit body needs more exercise and diet.
For a healthy and fit body walking is very good exercise which helps in burning the excess
fat in your body. A fit body doesnt mean that it should look good from outside. A fit and
healthy body should be physically active and energetic and smart enough to accept any tasks
given to them.
Most important is the exercise. Make it a routine to move your body. You can do this by
running around your home, playing with your kids, climbing up and down the staircase and
so on. This will help in increasing your blood circulation. You can also join a gym where you
will have an instructor who can guide you to have a healthy and fit body. Try to avoid fatty
food and junk food. These foods are not going to give any nutrients to your body. Better stick
on to a diet which includes fresh vegetables, fruits, fish and Dairy Products such as milk.
Limited number of dried fruits can be included in your diet. Reduce intake of foods which are
more salty and food with more sugar. Too much sugar and salt is bad for health. Have food at
proper timings .Try not skip any meals. If you don’t feel hungry also eat something but don’t
skip the meals
Avoid all the bad habits like smoking, drinking, using drugs etc. This will make your health
worse. Try to manage your stress by walking on the beach or watching any sport channel or
by listening to music or anything that makes you relaxed. Keep your hands clean regularly
because many diseases can attack your body though your hands. Try to maintain good
hygiene which will keep all the sickness away from your body. Do a regular body as well as
dental checkups. Maintain your healthy weight and make sure it is under control.
Above given tips can help you to have a fit and healthy body. But most important is self
determination. If you possess self determination then definitely you can achieve a healthy and
fit body.
So, how can regular exercise keep you fit and healthy? Both nutrition and exercise play a
very vital role in the amount of fat stored in the body. All types of exercise will not reduce
your body fat. For reducing body fat, first try to increase the duration of exercise rather than
decreasing the level of food intake. Studies have proved that there is a significant relation
between lack of physical activity and fat build up.
Just by being more active generally such as ascending stairs instead of taking the lift, moving
in the office instead of sitting still in front of our desktop as well as showing some
enthusiasm instead of boredom, are all various means to burn calories and reducing body fat.
It seems everyone have forgotten the value of being active. Dieting without exercising will
result in getting fatter. One should increase his/her metabolism by exercising regularly to
avoid getting fat.
The easiest exercise for strengthening your bones, controlling weight, leg muscles toning and
improving self esteem is walking. It is advisable to walk at a moderate pace. Walking at high
speeds every alternate day will help improve one’s system. Walking aimlessly for per hour
per day will not be effective at all. Exercise and diet are linked to each other when it comes to
good health and weight loss. Better than maintaining a balanced diet without exercise, it is
better to exercise without dieting.
Performing sit ups and crunches alone, the fat in your body will not transform to muscles.
You have to do many other activities like active sports, running, cycling that help get rid of
excess body fat as it burn lots of calories.
Running at full vigor burns more calories than walking at brisk pace. It is very important that
you keep in mind to lose body fat; burn more calories and eat less. More calories can be burnt
and you can attain your goal quicker if you focus on exercising harder. That’s all from me,

Introduction
Communication brings people together, closer to each other. Communication is an important
management function closely associated with all other managerial functions. It bridges the
gap between individuals and groups through flow of information and understanding between
them. There are five stages of oral communication skills in making this video presentation.
They are planning, structuring, preparing, presenting and lastly, review and reflection.
Criteria 1
Planning is needed for a successful presentation, as stated by the University of Leicester's
Learning Development (2009). A methodical approach is taken to a project in order to realise
the intended results. I planned to make an instructional film to educate my target audience
during the planning stage. The first step was to examine the concept and data to be included.
As my video is the instruction video, I have make some researches to complete my idea.
After doing some research, I found that there are many tips on how to have a healthy
lifestyle. I plan to focus on YouTube viewers, OUM students, Lecturers, and panel members.
I acquired the knowledge and abilities to compose and present speeches at this point. I'm
forced to use my brain while I'm writing, as I'm analysing, clarifying, investigating,
connecting, and remembering the important points from the presentation. As I'm drafting my
presentation speech, I divide my speech into three parts to match the structure of my storey. I
call the first section of my video production the greeting and purpose. Additionally, I go into
great detail about the our personal health lifestyle.
To complete the third component, I dubbed the decision or resolve component. This involved
preparing a speech detailing short- and long-term solutions for your hotel chain in response to
your main topic issue. In this section, it offers a solution and informs the audience about it.
This will be the last section. In my mind's eye, it perfectly recreated what I had planned. On
the other hand, the video initially appears dull and unappealing. I end up making the movie
more appealing by adding visual aids such as photographs, audio, and animated graphics.
There were a number of obstacles I had to overcome while making this video. Additionally,
when you are recording, the text script that is played while is limited to ten minutes. To
increase the presentation length, I incorporate some visual aids such as slides, transitions, and
other visual elements. In order to make an effective oral presentation, I realised that speech
and writing have different characteristics. It's important to understand the specific aspects of
what I'm doing so that I can deliver an effective speech. While speaking, we often make
grammatically incorrect expressions, and while writing, we are required to write correctly and
spell the words correctly. By editing the back-inclusive text, I help the audience follow me
and comprehend what I'm saying. Thus, my speech had a natural, conversational tone.
My video presentation is directed and produced by me, because my creative talents, ideas,
and motivations guide the project. Use a systematic approach that includes preparing the
speech, editing the speech, filming/recording, editing, and publishing in order to produce
video presentations.
Criteria 2
On this video making-of, I estimated that it would take about 10 minutes to complete the full
set of visual aids, such as music, images, transitions, and additional video. For each
component, I assigned a specific time to record the duration video. For example, an Intro
section that runs for 1 minute should be followed by a Background section that runs for 4
minutes to tell the tips to have a healthy lifestlye and explain the benefit of practicing it,
followed by the comparison of health and fitness section that lasts for 4 minutes to summarise
the importance of having a healthy lifestyle and finally the closure section that lasts for 1
minute. With regard to total time consumption, video accounts for 10 minutes.
To perform this duty, it is important to be creative and original. Communicating our ideas,
thoughts, or statements in a way that they are understood requires doing something different
or thinking outside the box. Creative thinking is defined as devising new ways to perform
tasks, solve problems, and face challenges, according to Allison Doyle (2020). We used a
creative concept as a solution for all of our communication tasks, such as resolving
communication conflicts or obstacles and implementing communications methods like
audience discussion of a topic. The best way to present a creative concept or solution is
through clear communication. The ability to communicate clearly and confidently in writing
and speech is all we need. In contrast, when a new concept is introduced, the first challenge is
related to conviction.
To start with, we have only an idea and a project manager. The level of involvement and
acceptance the project is able to achieve will dictate the overall success of the innovation
process. The project manager must take the project's concept from the planning stage and
implement it, and then describe it to a project's audience, collaborating partners, or helpers
using a presentation and speech. To move quickly through this process, this individual will
need excellent communication skills.
Criteria 3
Step one was getting a concept; step two was preparing the script or speech; step three was
video shooting or recording; step four was editing; step five was publishing; and step six was
reviewing and reflecting back. There are several mistakes and errors that occur while making
this, as well as some intricate aspects I began with that I believe would have been better
handled in a different manner. While the script is playing, the duration of my video draught
recording is insufficient to make a 10-minute video recording, and I've also omitted some of
the words and their proper pronunciation. As a result, I drag audio and extra photo slides in
order to increase the length of the presentation. I also included visual aids that have a greater
impact, such as transitions, to aid the motion picture. Apart from that, my lower voice tone
was recognised during recording, so instead of re-recording, I used voice projection in video
editing software to make my voice sound clearer and better, while also enhancing my voice
tone.
My approach was to use academically formal language that contained written speech rather
than spoken speech when I was composing the speech. But after reading the first speech, it
does not appear to be a speech, as it is completely over the top and intense. To simplify
things, I reduce the terminology to sound more conversational. It's necessary to review our
writing speech because it gives us the opportunity to catch mistakes before we speak, and to
help us to improve our presentation skills.
Having the advantage of making this video presentation, I am able to focus on developing my
writing and speaking abilities while learning how to create videos and scripts. However,
creating only one video presentation requires a lot of time and effort. I must bear in mind the
issues with grammar and pronunciation, the content of my speech, editing software for
videos, and so on when doing this. I discovered that individuals may have strong writing
skills, but their speaking and communication skills may not be up to par.
When it came to the filming of the movie, I realised I could do things better. Even though the
script was lengthy, I figured out early on that I could not commit it to memory. The
screenplay is between two and five pages, which is an easy method to capture it while it is
being filmed. I also separated the videos into four different scenes: introduction, background
storey, solution, and conclusion. As a result, the video will appear to be more organised, less
disjointed, and fluid.
Criteria 4
Following my friend's exposure to this video, she now believes that this video constitutes an
informative form of communication because it contains facts and helpful information
delivered to a targeted audience who were interested in finding out about the important of
practicing healthy lifestyle for our personal health. In order to better prepare, she advised me
to get accustomed to delivering the speech and try to better understand the text before going
into a recording presentation. Her other advice was to film with eye contact and in quiet
environments. I also instruct her to repeat everything I say verbatim, in a clear voice, and
word by word when I do a presentation. My advice to you is to rely on her guidance to help
you improve your speaking and presentation skills in the future.
Criteria 5
I am finally content with my role as "producer" and "director" for the project, and I was able
to meet the deadline before. I invested time and effort in completing this task, and it was
totally worth it because of the results. Even if the recording of the video conference is not
desirable or suggested, I would advise holding a video conference lecture with a few students
where lecturers act as judges of performance on oral speaking discussion.
Conclusion
Oral communication skills are important to the students because with those skills, they can
develop competency in something that is very pervasive in their lives — to reflect on it, to
practice it, to get feedback on it so that they can become better at accomplishing their goals.
Communication plays a vital role in human life. It helps facilitate the exchange of
information and knowledge, and develop relationships with others. Therefore, the importance
of communication skills in our day-to-day life cannot be underestimated.
