Crochet Pattern: Lil’ Fluffy Unicorn (Despicable Me)
After making Lil’ Minion and Lil’ Agnes, many of you have been asking for Agnes’s fluffy unicorn. I
have to agree, Agnes will not be complete without her awesome unicorn companion. So here you
go, as promised.
Lil’ Fluffy is approximately 12cm tall (15cm including the horn) and 16cm wide. Make this little
one to go together with your Despicable Me set, an amazing handmade gift for all Despicable
Me and unicorn lovers. I had a lot of fun creating this little one and now it’s your turn. :)
Are you ready? Let’s begin! 
Materials:
        Yarn(s) - White, Small amount of Light Pink, Dark Pink and Yellow 8ply Acrylic Yarn. 
        Crochet Hooks - Size 3.0mm
        Yarn Needle
        Tapestry Needle
        White and Black Tapestry Thread  
        Fiberfill 
        2 Small Black Beads for the Eyes
        Small amount of Dark Pink Felt.
        Pink Fluffy Decorative for the Mane and Tail 
        Fabric Glue.
        Stitch Marker or Safety Pin
Note:
        This pattern works in continuous rounds (instead of joined rounds). 
Abbreviation:

Head:
Light Pink and White Yarn.
Starting with Light Pink Yarn.
Rnd 1: MR, sc 6 in MR. (6)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rnd 3: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (18)
Rnd 4: *sc 2, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (24)
Rnd 5: *sc 3, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (30)
Rnd 6: *sc 4, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (36)
Rnd 7-8: sc around. (36)
Rnd 9: *dec 1, sc 4*, repeat around. (30)
Rnd 10: sc around. (30)
Change to White Yarn.
Rnd 11-13: sc around. (30)

Stuff head with fiberfill.

Body:
White Yarn.

Change to White Yarn.
Rnd 5-7: sc around. (12)
F/O, leave a long end to sew the legs to the body.
Ears: (make 2)
White Yarn.
Rnd 1: MR, sc 6 in MR. (6)
Rnd 2: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (9)
Rnd 3-6: sc around. (9)
Rnd 7: *dec 1, sc 1*, repeat around. (6)
F/O and leave long end for sewing to the head.
Press flat and do not stuff. 
Eyes: (make 2)
White Yarn.
Rnd 1: MR, sc 5 in MR. (5)
Rnd 2: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (7)
Rnd 3: sc around. (7)
Stuff fiberfill to eyes.
Rnd 4: *dec 1, sc 1*, repeat around. (5)
F/O and close up the hole.
Horn: 
Yellow Yarn.
Rnd 1: MR, sc 3 in MR. (3)
Rnd 2-3: sc around. (3)
Rnd 4: sc 1, 2 sc in next sc, sc 1. (4)
Rnd 5: sc around. (4)
Rnd 6: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (6)
Rnd 7: sc around. (6)
Rnd 8: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (8)
Stuff horn with fiberfill.
F/O, leave a long end to sew the horn to the head. 
Neck:
White Yarn.
Ch 13 - sc start from 1st ch.
Rnd 1-3: sc around. (12) 
Rnd 4: *sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around. (18)
Rnd 5: sc around. (18)
F/O, leave a long end to sew neck to the body.
Assembling: (Refer to pictures)
      Sew the front legs counting 9th round from the body and about 4 stitches apart. The front
      and back legs are about 6 stitches apart.
      Sew the neck onto the body. (counting 3rd round from body)
      Sew the horn on the head. (counting 4th round from top of the head)
      Sew the eyes on the head. (counting 5th round from top of the head and about 5 to 6
      stitches apart) Sew the black beads towards the middle of the eye balls as shown in the
      pictures above.
      Sew the ears on the head. (counting 6th round from top of the head) 
      Using dark pink yarn and yarn needle, embroider a smile for Lil’ Fluffy. (ending at Round 5
      on both sides)
      Using black tapestry thread and needle, embroider the squarish nostrils for Lil’ Fluffy.
      Cut out 3 small pieces of dark pink “tongue” shaped felt, glue 2 onto the ears and one on
      the lips. 
      Lastly, cut out the pink fluff decorative just the right length to cover the back of the head
      and ¼ of the body. Another short piece for the tail. Glue them on. 
And Congratulations, you’ve completed your Lil’ Fluffy Unicorn!
