1. Have itchy feet – you have a strong desire to leave a place and to travel.
2. Bitten by the travel bug – a strong desire to travel across the world
3. Independent traveler – a person who plans his/her own trips and prefers to
travel alone
4. Experience culture shock – a feeling of confusion felt by
someone visiting a country or place that they do not know
5. Wander around-to walk casually around some place without any definite
purpose
6. Be homesick – sad because you are away from home and you miss your family
and friends
7. Fascinating – extremely interesting and attractive
8. Daunting – to make someone feel slightly frightened or worried about their
ability to achieve something
9. Challenging – difficult in an interesting way that tests your ability
10.Petrifying – to frighten someone a lot, especially so that they are unable to
move or speak
11.Disgusting – a strong feeling of dislike
12.Cool – fairly cold; not hot or warm
13.Chilly – cold but not freezing
14.Scorching – extremely hot
15.Pour- rain heavily
16.Drizzle – rain lightly
17.Breeze – a light wind
18.Overcast – covered with clouds; not bright
19.Emigrate – to leave your own country to go and live permanently in another
country
20.Set off – to start on a trip
21.See someone off – to go to a station, an airport, etc. to say goodbye to
somebody who is starting a journey
22.Be off – when you are ready to go, or you are going to go somewhere very soon
23.Go away – to leave home for a period of time, especially for a holiday
