7. Abstract
The system is designed and developed in order for the

barangay Dammang to have a computerized record management of

resident and certificate issuance system and it consists of

four (4) main modules namely, MENU, TRANSACTION, REPORT AND

ABOUT.

The main problem encountered by most barangay is

difficulty in keeping, updating and retrieving of personal

information of residents in their respective barangays due

to manual storing of data also doing transactions, reports,

issuance of certificates and keeping information about the

resident manually is really hard. Time is really important

especially if you are working the benefit of resident. But

with the help of our system it can make the barangay

officials work faster and easier. Applying computerized

system they can do more than before. The system is designed

to help the barangay manage the resident information

properly as well as transactions and reports, the system

manages basic information of barangay resident such as

fullname, birthplace, birthday, address, religion, status,

sex, spouse or family member information, barangay official

information, family household. The system will also monitors

and manages barangay information such as, health worker,

derogatory records of barangay resident and maintains a

record history of transaction and reports of barangay, and

issuance of certificate such as indigency and barangay

clearance.

Furthermore, resident information includes a digital

photo image for proper identification which can be

automatically taken using the web cam, the system

facilitates barangay management for them to maintain the

resident records as complete and up-to-date as possible and

easily accessible for verification, monitoring and reference

purposes based on the available resident data kept by the

barangay official. Everything is available and can be stored

and retrieved from its database, so we designed our program

that would be able to secure their information.

The system is highly recommended that the barangay should

adopt the computerized record management of resident and

certificate issuance to make their process faster and more

accurate, especially in storing and retrieving data, this way

won’t be having problems in keeping their documents. The barangay

will also be assured that the file will be protected and safe for

it will require authorization before someone can access the

system.
