Black Mirror 3 Walkthrough

Optional tasks are colored in blue

Prologue
Adrian runs through the forest and appears at the burning castle, where the
inspector arrests him. (Different flashback scenes, some hours before...)

Chapter 1

Cutscene: First therapy session; Constable appears

Cutscene: Discharge part 1

Quest: Get your belongings off the cell


 go to the cells on the left side
 open the locker and get your pencil
 talk to Matt (click twice)

Cutscene: Matt reads the diary aloud; get several diary pages
 go back into the office

Cutscene: Discharge part 2. get business card from advocate


 go to the village square
 enter the phone booth
 Use the business card with the phone; call with Dr. Jones begins (topic: police file)
 You might want to talk to the fortuneteller. She tells you where Adrian could die in
each chapter. Her card clips in the call booth door, just use it with the phone

Quest: Get police file


 Go into the police station and talk to the inspector (topic: police file, all topics)
 go over the village square and to the left to the pubside
 take sponge (under the menu)
 go back to the village square and enter the cafe
 look at the counter (there are no donuts left)
 talk to Denise (topic: donuts and inspector, all topics)
 click on door to the storage room at the back (twice) (Adrian feels observed by
Denise)
 talk to Denise again (topic: coffee)
 go into the storage room while Denise is diverted
 look at the storage rack
 take the box with donuts
 use the sponge with cleaning bucket and get a wet sponge
 look at the freezer and open it
 put the box with donuts into the freezer
 use your wet sponge with the freezer
 close the freezer and leave the storage room

Cutscene: Adrian takes seat in the cafe, the inspector enters and asks for his
donuts. Denise and Spooner disappear into the storage room
 enter the police office
 talk to the constable (topic: police file, all topics)
 click on the copier (Minigame)

Solution Minigame copier

Arrange the cables as shown on the picture, push the black power button and the green
copy button

 talk to the constable again (topic: copier)

Cutscene: The constable will send the copied file to the advocate by mail

Quest: Manipulate mailbox


 go to the village square
 take the menu from the table at the fair booth
 use the menu with the mailbox

Cutscene: The constable drops the letter into the mailbox


 click on the mailbox and get a letter
 Open the letter and get the copy of the police file
 Read the police file (Adrian will use the file from now on as his diary)

Cutscene: Read file

Quests: Speak your mind to Murray and visit Victoria


 pass the bridge
 go to the hotel on the right side and enter it

Cutscene: Dispute between Murray and Adrian;


get Polaroid camera, Samuel Gordon backpack and room-key
 Open the backpack and get a bloody plastic knife, a Samuel Gordon lighter and
a plastic soulkey
 Talk to Murray (all topics)

Quest: Shoot photo for Murray


 leave the hotel and go back to Willow Creek
 go to the street in the forest (follow the street at the museum-side)
 go along the street (north)
 go to Black Mirror Castle
 use intercom on the right side next to the gate

Cutscene: Adrian walks to the entrance and meets nurse


 talk to the nurse (all topics)
 talk to Victoria (all topics, except the fire)
 end the “dialog” and push the button at the medical devices to call the nurse
 ask her about Victoria, then talk to Victoria again
 talk about the „fire in the castle“

Cutscene: Vision of Victoria’s death


 use Murrays Polaroid camera in front of the castle and get a photo
 go back to the hotel and talk to Murray (topic: BMC photo)
 go to the hotelrooms and enter room number 2
 pick up the mysterious letter from the floor
Cutscene: Adrian reads the letter and comes to know about a nameless instructor

Quest: Go to the grave of Adrian's father


 ask Murray for the mysterious letter and a cemetery (and all left topics)
 go to Willow Creek and enter corner shop

Cutscene: Old Lady is scared and leaves the shop


 examine the maps of trails
 talk to Abaya (topic: map of trails, all topics)
 take a map of trails
 go out and enter the café, talk to everyone (Edward, Denise, Bobby and Joyce)
about all topics
 go to the police station and talk to Spooner and constable Zak (all topics)
 go back to the street into the forest to the direction of Black Mirror Castle
 take the dirt road on the left where the broken sign is (to Warmhill) and go along the
road
 enter church and talk to the gravedigger Mark in the confessional (topics: Samuel's
grave, Father Frederick, all topics)
 leave the church
 darkness had come: go back into the forest, walk the dirt road

Cutscene: You hear a rustling in the brushwood, two wild boars appear
 as soon as the wild boars appear run the trail behind you swiftly

Cutscene: Adrian runs for cover in an old hut but isn't able to leave it because the
door is stuck
 use your Samuel Gordon lighter with the oil lamp

Cutscene: Knocks at the window, a mysterious white-dressed woman appears in


the forest
 examine the strange shadow behind the lamp
 take a close look at the oil lamp and get a rusty key
 unlock the big chest with the rusty key and get a fraternity robe, a corkscrew, a
yardstick and a chainsaw
 take the rake and use it with the bed; get a cardboard box
 open the box and get Mr. Bubby, a smiley sticker and a cork
 take the fuel can
 pour the fuel into the chainsaw and plug the tank with the cork
 examine the floor planks with the yardstick
 saw the planks with the chainsaw and leave the hut through the hole in the floor

Cutscene: Adrian appears from under the hut and faints

End of chapter 1

Chapter 2

Intro: Two children run through the forest when suddenly the girl falls into a
hole in the ground

Cutscene: Second therapy session; Adrian gets prescription for drugs

Quests: Get drugs from Abaya's shop, find the place with the mysterious hole in the
forest and talk to father Frederick
 go to the corner shop (it's closed)
 go back to Joyce and ask her all topics (especially about the closed shop)
 enter the police station and talk to Zak (all topics)
 go to the café and talk to Edward (all topics)
 at the city square, talk to Matt (topic: Matt)
 look into the barrel next to the corner shop and get a packet for Murray and the
drugs

Quest: Bring the packet to Murray


 go to the hotel (Murray isn't there)
 look into the office (the door to the left in the lobby)

Cutscene: Adrian enters the office and finds out that Murray paid the bail. Murray
enters: dispute between Murray and Adrian
 go to Warmhill and enter the gate to the backyard (right)
 take the lopping shear from the left side of the house
 talk to Mark, the gravedigger (all topics)
 go to the crossroad and take the gravel path on the right

Cutscene: Adrian has a flashback


 use the lopping shear with the barbwire and enter the gate
 examine the environment:
 take a close look at all four spots
 you find another smily sticker, does Ralph live here?
 go back to the church and enter it
 talk to father Frederick (topic: 1. church, 2. Samuels grave, all topics) and get a list
of funerals in 1981
 go to the cemetery and examine the nameless graves

Quest: Find out which person from the list is not buried at the nameless graves
 look at the big tomb (William Gordon) and the grave in front of the church (Victor
Sebastian Valley)
 examine the nameless graves again

Minigame: which name belongs to which gravestone


 look at all graves (don‟t try to place the names yet)
 Talk to Father Frederick about the biblical sayings and the deceased (all topics)
 Arrange the names on the graves as followed:

 enter the church again and tell Father Frederick about Samuels grave
 look at the right column; in a secret compartment you find a note with new quest

Quest: Search for people who need help


 go back to Willow Creek through the forest
 at the crossroad Adrian meets Phil
 talk to Phil, he needs help with his car
 talk about all topics, especially Ralph

Cutscene: While Adrian tries to repair the motor, Phil kidnaps him
 examine the ceiling (twice)
 use your corkscrew with the stretcher, pull the handle and get out of the metal box

Quest: Enhance your situation


 press the switch with the red light (next to the door)
 look at the cooling boxes (the upper one and the middle right one) - someone is
locked inside!
 examine the screen and pull it up, look at camera accessories and get some colour
filters
 look at the desk
 take the small flask and the cigarettes
 open the drawer and take the book of chemistry and a scalpel
 take the bone from floor
 look at skeleton and get its skull
 examine the skull and get a film reel
 use the film reel and the colour filters with the projector
 pull down the screen again
 use the projector with the screen

Minigame: Projector
 the left button controls speed
 the right button starts film (forward/backward and stop)
 find the picture which looks different (darker) and stop there
 combine the yellow and the red filter to get a hidden code
 go to the desk again and open the metal box to get a letter to Phil
 to get information about James and Ralph look in the cabinet
 use the scalpel with the cassette player to get a cable
 use the cable with intercom
 pull the projector to the door
 use the intercom to call Phil
 when Phil walks to the projector use the bone on Phil quickly

Quest: Get the person out of the compartment


 loot Phil to get his keys and his shotgun
 unlock the middle compartment with Phil’s keys
 open the compartment; Ralph is there, but unconscious

Quest: Wake up Ralph


 use the chemistry book on empty flask for salts
 go upstairs and take a part of the deer antler, use it with the rasp to get horn flour
 look into the glass cabinet and get an Erlenmeyer flask
 go downstairs to the desk
 examine the Bunsen burner
 put the Erlenmeyer flask on the burner and put the horn flour in
 turn the Bunsen burner on and use the lighter to heat the flour, Adrian fills the
empty brown flask with the salts
 use the salts to wake up Ralph, he‟s frightened
 give Mr. Bubby to Ralph

Cutscene: Ralph flees


 go upstairs
 use Phil’s keys to lock the door to the cellar
 take an empty plastic bottle
 use Phil’s keys with drawer and get a handgun, ammo and a bracelet
 recognize the cable on the floor and the secret drawer
 use the computer with password: MORGUE
 the hints are on the post-it, the way to cellar (RGUE) and outside (GORE), the
ceiling (U) and the metal M in the waste container
 You can also collect a disc on the desk and play Space Invaders
 open the secret drawer at the glass cabinet and get a money list and a video tape
 put the tape into the video recorder at the tv, Adrian watches the beginning
 leave the house and destroy the doorphone (click on it)
 use Phil's keys with the waste container and get a cardboard roll and a metal
„M“
 hide the shotgun and the handgun in the container
 go to Willow Creek and enter the café, talk to Denise (all topics)
 enter the police station and talk to Zak (all topics)
 leave this place and go to the hotel

Cutscene: Adrian takes Murray to task. They quarrel and Murray flees.
Quest: Find and destroy photos of evidence
 enter Murray„s office
 look at drawer (inside is a user’s guide for steel locker: you need serial number
from the back of the locker and Murray‟s date of birth)
 look at the diploma (Murray's date of birth)
 use your yard stick with the steel locker
 go to the corridor (in front of room 2) and look at the blueprint
 take a caliper from the toolbox
 use the yard stick with wall in your room to get the right coordinates for the locker
 use the scalpel with wall and remove the wallpaper
 use the metal „M“ with the bricks and look into the hole (serial number)
 call the service hotline for the code (with office telephone)
 open the locker and get the evidences and a photo
 leave the hotel (a storm is coming up) and go to the castle

Cutscene: On the way to the castle Adrian sees the white woman again
 enter the gate and try to go through the front door

Quest: Chase the workmen off


 go to the backyard and examine the garbage
 enter the house through the back door
 take the candle
 use the caliper with the ammo to get some gunpowder
 fill the gunpowder into the cardboard roll
 light the candle (with Gordon-lighter) and seal the roll with wax; you get a sealed
cardboard roll
 put a cigarette into the sealed cardboard roll and get a banger
 go to the front door and place the banger in the lantern
 return quickly to the backdoor and enter the hall

Cutscene: Banger explodes and the workmen leave the castle


 open the door to Victoria‟s bedroom

Cutscene: The nurse leaves


 go to Victoria‟s bedroom
 talk to Victoria (all topics)

Cutscene: Victoria dies

End of chapter 2

Chapter 3

Intro: Victoria's funeral; got documents, business card from notary, BMC-keys
 go the path to the hut (where Adrian was captured)
 talk to Ralph (all topics)
 go to the castle

Cutscene: Dialogue between workmen and Adrian


Quest: Get money for the workmen
 enter the gate
 look at frontage/facade
 talk to Steve (and Greg) about his work (all topics)
 enter the castle and go to the tea room (right door next to the stairs)
 get the account statements and an envelope out of the drawer
 go upstairs and enter Victoria's bedroom
 look at the picture of the white lady

Cutscene: When Adrian touches the picture there appears a dark spot.
 go to the kitchen and unlock the cellar door with the BMC-keys and enter
 take some pipe clips and the construction foam
 go to the garden and enter the greenhouse
 look at the carpet (Adrian removes it)
 examine the floor tile; you find a trapdoor (open it)

Quest: Get suitcase out of the well


 take the stick, a hose and a bucket
 use the pipeclips with the stick
 use the „M“ with the stick to build a grappling hook and grap the suitcase
 open the suitcase and read Henry’s notebook

Quest: Open the secret compartment in the tearoom


 get some toothpicks out of Greg‟s lunchbox in front of the castle
 Henry left some hints, so look at the family tree in the library (Dergham + Lillian
Gordon)
 go upstairs and enter room ahead (formerly Robert‟s room, is now used as storage)
 look at the pictures and take a close look on the picture of Dergham Gordon
 take the loose piece of frame
 examine the hole in the frame and mind the holes
 put the toothpicks into the 7 holes in the frame
 put the piece of the frame back on the toothpicks in the frame and get a „key“
 go downstairs into the tearoom
 look at the horse statue and the socket
 place the „key“ into the small holes
 push the ominous spot (the cover opens)
 take some money and the letter
 Go through the castle and examine the following spots:
o Medical device in Victoria‟s room
o The renovation work in the corridor
o The locked door upstairs at the corridor end
o The kitchen ceiling
o The stairs to the cellar
o The balustrade in the main hall
o The black spot in the tea room
 talk to Greg and give him his money
 talk to all topics except the frontage
 tell him to renovate the frontage/facade

Cutscene: The telephone rings, third therapy session; child Adrian looks into the
hole and sees stars
 get Adrian„s drawing
 leave the house

Cutscene: The constable waits and tells Adrian there has been a murder in front of
the castle and that the inspector wants to talk
 talk to Steve in front of the main entrance
 talk to Zak
 take the cleaning supplies
 enter and talk to the inspector

Cutscene: Darren kicks Spooner out of the castle; Monologue; Doorbell rings
 go to the gate, nobody is there
 look at the mailbox and take the bill from Murray
 read the newspaper
 you can now go to Murray and wear him down

Quest: Discover all of the Menhirs


 you have to place the map of trails on all Menhirs, each spots will be marked on
the map:
 1. the big cornerstone in the castle hall
 2. in front of the gate to the castle
 3. in front of the entrance
 4. and 5. in the garden
 6. in the greenhouse (the statue):
 at the greenhouse clean the statue with the cleaning supplies

Quest: Look around to find the secret portals


 use the pencil with the map
 draw three lines from the cornerstone
 to the academy
 to the church in Warmhill
 to the hotel or the river behind
 optionally you can connect the zodiac sign (all menhirs except cornerstone)
 go to the academy (in direction of the lighthouse) and examine the ruin
 go to the church in Warmhill and talk to Father Frederick (topics: Vatican letter,
portals, all topics)
 go to the backyard of the church and click the old wooden door (twice) to get a
glass pane
 talk to Mark, if topics are left
 go to Willow Creek and pick up the repair kit from the bike (click twice) at the
lantern in front of Dr. Winterbottom‟s house
 onward to the hotel; fill the plastic bottle with water at the fountain
 go down the path which leads behind the building
 look at the Menhirs in the river
 talk to Bobby (topic: bracelet); Bobby runs away and leaves his waders behind
 pick them up and look at them
 use the repair kit with the waders
 put on the waders (rightclick on the them) and go to the Menhirs in the river

Quest: Need something to look under water


 combine the broken bucket and the glass pane to get a bucket with glass
bottom
 use this bucket with glass bottom with the dark spot in the water (Portal in the
river)

Quest: Look around to find the secret portals


 draw two more lines on the map, one to the swamp at the right and one to the forest
left behind the river
 Adrian now has three portals and can go into the woods
 go to the street that leads to the lighthouse
 take the small hidden path into the woods and you‟ll arrive at a swampside
 you find a broken metal detector and a letter in the swamp, take both
 go to the crossroad and take the left path
 look at the signs and the path to the left (once only!) – there are traps everywhere

Quest: Fix the metal detector


 head back to the castle and take the jerry can next to the entrance
 go to the estate where Adrian was captured
 as you are just here use hose with tank of the car and fill the jerry can
 unlock the car with Phil's keys (to open the bonnet); get smily sticker n°3
 get the battery out of the bonnet
 enter the house and take the transistor radio
 look for Phil in the cellar
 fix the metal detector with the transistor radio and the battery

Quest: Look around to find the secret portals


 go back to the crossroad and head the path left again
 pick up a branch
 now you can enter the trail (use the metal detector with it)
 use the branch with the crevice in the rock (found the last Portal position?)

Cutscene: Bats fly out of the gap


Quest: Remove the rock
 go to the castle
 fill the fuel from the jerry can into the drill hammer (in front of the main entrance)
 pick up that drill and return to the stonecircle
 use the drill with the big rock
 3 hours later: there are a lot of holes in the rock, darkness had come and it is very
cold, fuel is empty now
 fill the water from the water bottle into the holes
 use the construction foam or the branch to seal the holes
 go back to the castle; Bobby sits in front of the gate
 talk to Bobby (all topics)

Cutscene: Quarrel between Tom, the inspector and Denise; Adrian appears and
talks his mind to Tom, then he gets knocked down by Tom

End of chapter 3

Chapter 4

Cutscene: Child Adrian climbs down into the hole and discovers his sister
standing in front of a huge mirror; her face in the mirror looks
demoniac

Cutscene: Fourth therapy session; Constable calls


 go to the cafe and talk to Spooner
Cutscene: Adrian and Spooner go to Dr. Hermann's house
 use Phil's keys with the front door

Cutscene: They look around and look the torture video


 go downstairs
 show Spooner the upper cooling box (the one with the corpse)

Cutscene: Spooner wants Adrian to follow him into the police office
 go back upstairs

Cutscene: Tom appears, sees Adrian and flees; Spooner follows him
 go to the place with the stone circle and enter the cave
 examine the abyss (once only)
 go into the garden of the castle and take on the ladder

Cutscene: Adrian bridges the abyss with the ladder


 go to the other side and examine the hieroglyphics
 take a picture from the hieroglyphics (with camera or pen)
 look at the holder next to them; the portal can only be opened with the black sphere
 leave the location and go to Willow Creek
 talk to Dr. Winterbottom (topic: hieroglyphics) and get a book about hieroglyphics
 talk to her about the other topics
 read this book and use it with the hieroglyphics
 enter the museum and talk to the tourists
 examine the flyers next to the entrance
 go to the café and talk to Edward (topic: hieroglyphs, grave mound)

Quest: Find the grave mound


 go to the police office and talk to Spooner (topic: Miss Valley's house, all topics)
 talk to Zak about all topics except Miss Valley‟s house
 talk to Zak (topic: Miss Valley's house)
 look at the notepad and get an empty page
 take a piece of coal in front of the fireplace
 use this piece of coal with the empty page and get Miss Valley's note, read it
 look at the bookshelf to get her term paper and read it
 underline the word “Sector I3”, “Swamp” and “Skeletons”
 talk to Zak and leave the house
 go to the swamp (where you found the metal detector)
 examine the swamp and the animal skeletons
 go into the grave mound

Quest: Find the black sphere


 search the cave; Adrian can‟t find the sphere, he has to get help from Mordred
 go to Dr. Winterbottom and ask her about the drugs (and the other topics)
 get some magnesium pills from Abaya in the shop (talk about the other topics, too)
 get coffee from Edward in the café
 go to the greenhouse at the castle and take the valerian plant
 take the pot from the castle kitchen
 go into the castle hall and get a roll of construction foil
 go back to the grave mound
 hang the construction foil over the entrance
 take some dry twigs and go inside
 put some stones in the middle of the cave and lay the twigs into it
 make a fire with the lighter in the fireplace
 put the pot with water over it
 lay the valerian leaves into the fire
 throw the pills and the coffee into the cooking pot
 drink the mix and breathe deeply

Cutscene: Adrian gets the vision of a burial


 take the black sphere from the crevice (where the black spores are)
 go back to the abyss under the stone circle
 put the sphere into the holder; the demon gate opens
 go into the demon gate
 search Louis‟ corpse (click twice) and get a note from Angelina
 look at the stones at the stairs twice
 use the camera with the right hole to get a photo from the black sphere
 take Louis’ arm from his corpse
 use the arm with the right hole to push the sphere
 take the sphere from the left hole and put it into the holder
 go back through the portal
 try to take Mordreds book twice

Cutscene: Mordred takes over, Maria appears


End of chapter 4

Chapter 5

Cutscene: Adrian awakes in his room and has black eyes


 examine Mordreds book on the table
 take the cullet from under the chair

Cutscene: Dr. Winterbottom calls; Adrian wants to commit suicide, but Valentina
appears at the castle and brings him to the church
 talk to Valentina about every topic, she explains very much about what might have
happened to Adrian
 she gives Adrian the book of guardians and both go to the church
 talk to the priest (all topics)

Quest: Find out something about Mordred that might help


 go to the castle; Edward is waiting for you
 talk to Edward about the black eyes and about him being here
 go to Adrians room and take Mordreds book
 read the book of guardians
 go back to the church and enter through the side door
 talk to Pater Frederick (topics: Mordreds wife and the book)

Cutscene: The exorcism in the church

End of chapter 5

Chapter 6

Intro: Valentina and Edward brought Darren to the castle


 use the telephone in the library to call the archbishop

Quest: Find the secret entrance


 go into the cellar and look around, use the matches
 use the matches on the column
 demount the cover
 take a close look at the mysterious hole
 go upstairs into Victoria‟s bedroom
 take the jewel case and examine the monitors to get a syringe with adrenaline
 leave the bedroom

Cutscene: Adrian woke up


 talk about everything that happened at the exorcism
 give him the jewel case, so Adrian “opens” it
 get the hilt and go downstairs back into the library
 take a close look at the column again
 use the hilt with the hole
 look at the hilt (inventory), a ruby is missing
 leave the close-up, change to Adrian and go to the library to Valentina
 change back to Valentina and talk with Adrian about the missing ruby (and the other
topics)
 give the hilt to Adrian

Quest: Get the missing ruby


 change back to Adrian
 go to the castle gate and take the sunglasses out of the mailbox
 walk the way in the direction of Warmhill and go to the hut
 examine the door and enter the hut
 go back to the street in the direction of Willow Creek, you‟ll hear Ralph jumping
through the woods
 walk to the city square in Willow Creek
 look at the café door
 enter the police station

Cutscene: The case is closed


 talk to the inspector about the transfer and the missing ruby
 talk to Zak about the café (and other topics, if some are left)
 get the Gordon bracelet
 go back to the castle
 go upstairs to Adrian‟s room
 open the wardrobe and get a candle and the pliers
 look at the window and take the rope
 use the pliers with the bracelet to get a ruby
 place the ruby into the hilt
 go downstairs into the library and look at the column
 put the hilt into the hole

Cutscene: Adrian and Valentina discover the sewers


 look at the chain
 talk to Valentina about another exit

Quest: Find a way to the catacombs


 go to the kitchen and enter the storage room
 look at the bucket and take a bit road salt
 take the extension cable
 put the extension cable into the power outlet and down to the cellar (use it with the
stairs)
 use the lighter with the candle (inventory)
 go down into the cellar
 connect the extension cable with the construction light
 go right to the pump and open it (click twice)
 use the earthing wire (at the tubes right) with the pump
 use the pump power cable with the grate at the well
 use the high voltage cable with the puddle
 spread the salt into the puddle
 pull the power lever

 go down south (to room 7)
 close the door to the north (to room 6) and open the one to the east (to room 9)

 open the door north (room 9, the big room with a shadow)
 the shadow flees
 go into the big room (room 9)
 change back to Valentina and follow Adrian (to room 9)
 change back to Adrian and open the sarcophagus together to get the staff
 go back to the lower left room (room 2) and get Valentina there, too

 change to Valentina and take a close look at the relief

 the four people standing are the hunter, the beggar, the peasant and the priest
 leave the closeup and change to Adrian
 take a close look at the scale
 put the following scrimshaws into it (Minigame): arrowhead, bowl, fish and staff.
 when the chains stop rattling open one capsules and get a golden key
 use the golden key to unlock one of the locks at the door to the left
 open another capsule to get more keys that open the door to the left
 leave through that door and go the way along to the underground cathedral
 change to Valentina and look at the altar, she reads an engraving – sunrise, king,
knight, night
 change to Adrian and look at the altar (Minigame)
 press the buttons in the correct order like mentioned in the engraving:
