What can you do in Chachapoyas?


The city is quite and friendly. It provides an excellent base for
visiting the nearby ruins of Kuelap and has been called "the
archaeological capital of Peru". The traditional evening pastime
of strolling around the Plaza de Armas is a favorite way of
relaxing and socializing. Also, you can try plenty regional drinks
because there are much liquor stores.

What can you see in Chachapoyas?


Near of the city, there are very amazing touristic places, like
Kuelap. It’s a fortress like a Macchu picchu in Cuzco. Visit this
place is cheap and fun. Then, you can visit Gocta waterfall, there
you could see beautiful landscapes and refresh with waterfall
breeze. Finally, you can visit Leymebamba museum, where you
learned more about Chachapoya’s culture.

What can you see in Chachapoyas?


In this part of Peru, it’s the first cableway of the country, if you
use this means of transport you save a lot of time and you feel
near to the clouds. That experience it’s wonderful and
unforgettable, because you could see one of the most beautiful
o landscape of your life.

What can you buy in Chachapoyas?


This city is traditional, so they keep their customs. If you can
buy some things, you will find a lot of souvenirs, like a regional
clothes and traditional clay pots, made for regional artisans, also
good prices to buy different kind of those. You’ll fall in love with
our crafts.

Where you can eat in Chachapoyas?


Chachapoyas had a lot of restaurants, where you can find typical
dishes and popular dishes. To do magic your experience in
Chachapoyas we recommend try regional dishes, like tamales
with hot pepper sauce and a hot cup of chachapoyan coffee, also
you can try fried trucha with green salad and for drink a chila
just. We assure you tasty food and delicious, every dish is made
with local ingredients.
