Given how much of our system revolves around voting and elections, wouldn't it make sense for Filipinos
to express themselves through ballots?

It is a democratic society in which we live. That implies we, the people, get to choose our leaders. And by
everyone, I mean everyone, from the President to the mayor and other local politicians. Voting in every
election is something that you should do as a citizen. Otherwise, you're saying you're happy with sitting
back and allowing others decide how things should be run for you. Because there are fewer voters and
more choices in municipal and primary elections, you have a stronger voice. Make use of it. It is the most

their leaders serves as the foundation for the social contract that exists between them and their
government. As a result, voting is more than simply a single person's political right; it is a social obligation
shared by everyone.

However, consider this: the entire point of democracy is for everyone to have a say in what happens, and
when fewer than half of the population votes, not everyone's opinion is heard. And a democracy isn't one
in which everyone is heard. As voters, but more importantly, as citizens of a wondrously vast and diverse
community, we look to our leaders for wisdom to help ensure that we all enjoy rich and satisfying lives. It
can appear hopeless at times, but the good news is that because wisdom is based on biology, it can be
evaluated and developed in the same way that exercising builds stronger muscles.

We can work actively to become wiser. Voting is an act of practical wisdom, and voting wisely is even
more so. If we choose sensible leaders, the rest of society will benefit from their wisdom as well. Everyone
wins at that point.

I will no longer argue of force anyone to vote a specific candidate. I wanted to encourage you all to do
some research before giving your vote to a candidate with credible sources, not just from any social media.
Your voice and opinion matters, VOTE WISELY!
