Activity 1: Social Studies
Learning Outcome:
The student will be able to
1. use their artistic skills to create a model/art form/painting of the state they are

Materials required:

Procedure:
1. Given below is a list of different Indian art forms of some of the states of India.
2. Prepare a project on the art form of the state allotted to you from the list given
below.
3. Click pictures of the steps involved in making the art form. Record your video
showcasing the art form with a few lines describing the art you have made.

Activity 2: Math [measuring the area]
Learning Outcomes:
The student will be able to
1. select a famous painting/art form of the state from activity 1 [K]
2. draw the selected painting on a canvas sheet/chart paper [Ap]
3. measure the area of the canvas painting [E]
Materials required:
1. list of art forms from Activity 1
2. pen, canvas
3. scrapbook
Procedure:
1. Choose a famous painting/art of the state from Activity 1.
2. Take the colour print of the painting.
3. Draw 1 cm unit squares using ruler and marker pen on the canvas sheet and keep
it ready.
4. Draw the image on your canvas.
5. Observe the painting on the canvas.
6. Look at the grid and count the squares (half and full).
7. Find the area of the painting (irregular figure) and note down the answer in the
scrapbook.
Activity 3: Science [natural colours]
Learning Outcomes:
The student will be able to
1. list the colours present in nature [K]
2. use these natural colours to colour the painting made in Activity 2 [C]
Materials required:
1. art form made in Activity 2
2. natural colours (turmeric, kokum, beetroot, henna, etc.)
Procedure:
1. Colour the painting or the art form created in Activity 2.
2. Name the natural colours used.

Activity 4: English [interview with the artisan]
Learning Outcomes:
The student will be able to
1. demonstrate the use of dialogues between himself/herself and a classmate who
will play the role of an artisan [C]
2. learn about the history and significance of the art form (art/painting and craft) of
the state [K]
Materials required:
1. scrapbook
2. interview questions
Procedure:
1. Select any one art form/painting from Activity 1.
2. Imagine you are a news reporter and your classmate is an artisan.
3. Write a conversation between you and your classmate (playing the role of an
artisan) based on the art form selected.
4. You can stick images of the art form discussed during the conversation.
5. Ensure all the information pertaining to the origin, history and significance of the
chosen art form is discussed during the conversation.
6. Also, ensure that you write about the challenges faced by the artisans during the
pandemic.
7. Refer to the list of questions attached.
8. Reverse the roles of news reporter and artisan so that your classmate is able to
ask questions.

Activity 5: Hindi [autobiography]
Learning Outcome:
The student will be able to
1. write an autobiography on any one selected hastshilp [handicraft] [C]

Procedure:
1. Select any one handicraft from Activity 1 related to the state.
2. Refer to the internet and gather information on it.
3. Write an autobiography on that craft stating its value and importance in
today’s scenario.
4. Provide the details of the selected Hastshilp (origin, history, journey from the start
till date, experiences with different people, etc.) with examples.
5. Use the relevant images as per requirement.

Activity 6: Computer Studies
Learning Outcome:
The student will be able to
1. create an art form or painting (Warli art, Mural paintings Dhokra art, etc.) of the
state in 3D using Tinkercad [C]
Materials required:
1. Tinkercad
2. Internet
Procedure:
1. Research on the different types of art forms or paintings of the state.
2. Identify any one painting or art form that you want to recreate in 3D using
Tinkercad.
3. Use basic shapes along with custom shapes from the shape generator to design
the various elements of the art form.
4. Customise the different properties of the shapes added from the Shape
Generators to create different shapes in the design. For example, you can use the
Voronoi tile to create a mesh pattern by changing its properties. You can also use
the Extrusion shape to create any custom shape by dragging its bezier handles.
5. Use rotation and duplication to generate patterns using a particular shape.
