Population in Ladakh
In 2011, Leh had population of 133,487
of which male and female were 78,971 and
54,516 respectively. In 2001 census, Leh had
a population of 117,232 of which males were
64,306 and remaining 52,926 were females.

the most sparsely populated region in India.
Buddhist is next largest religion in Ladakh.

Sex Ratio
The sex ration of Ladhak is quite good
than other parts of country. Its sex ratio
changes by 133 over a span of 10 years while
the child sex ration remains unchanged. Its
proportion to J&K population is 1.06% in
2011 & 1.16% in 2001.

Literacy
Average literacy of Ladakh increased over 10 years
by more than 10%. Male literacy in more than female
literacy. Male literacy is 86.31% in 2011 & 75.55%
in 2001. Female literacy is 63.56% in 2011 &
52.70% in 2001.
