OBJECTIVE

“Professional Choices of People” is a study conducted on the basis of

interviewing people at their residences and work places. The study has
been undertaken to understand and learn about the varied professions
people are engaged in and know about their challenges and initiatives in
their fields of work.
I took the opportunity to interview five of my neighborhood
professionals who were engaged in different professions demanding
different kinds of work in their respective fields. I conversed with them
and learnt about the nature of their work and the ways by which they
reached their position today. I was greatly benefitted by the knowledge
on their individual contributed to the society through their chosen
professions.
The project aimed at preparing a Questionnaire that suits to ask these
individuals engaged in different fields of work and know about their
duties in their professional work-field and collect data/ information for
analyzing the facts on their individual choice of work/ profession.
This Project Work helped me
to-----------------------------------------------------* Learn the method of
translating one’s vernacular medium into English especially with
people who are not very competent in the English language.
*Listen to the audio/ video conversation related with the topic
“Professional Choices of People” and understand the speaking
proficiency required to achieve a certain level of language proficiency.
*Develop the skills to speak in a fluent way and explain the written
materials to a third party.

ACTION
PLAN
The entire Project has been fulfilled following different steps in
consultation with teachers, experts and peers and with reference to print
and visual media.
The Project aims at achieving a clear understanding of the jobs people
are doing around my neighborhood by visiting their houses or work
places and conversing with them.
I visited my neighborhood with a prepared questionnaire and asked
them about the work they pursue and reason for choosing such a
profession and their future prospects.
Along with that I have acquired a good proficiency in general English
speaking and methods of interacting with people and listening to
various interviews conducted by our national channels and word media.
For the Project I carried out several studies and readings and interviews
related with my topic and came to know about the difficulties and
challenges each one has to face in their field of work. Then I analyzed
the data collected from different persons and found out the working
environment of their life.
