COVID-19 control
 Awareness about COVID-19 it is given to all the operative working on site and offices.
 Promote awareness of hand-washing.
 Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap and
running water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 70% alcohol. Always
wash hands that are visibly soiled and after removing any PPE. (soap available always next the
cleaning hands area)
 Put sanitizing hand rub dispensers in prominent places around the workplace. Make sure these
dispensers are regularly refilled. (all the dining area have sanitizer )
 staff, operatives have access where they can wash their hands with soap and water
 When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue (Not your hands)
– dispose the tissues immediately, and use alcohol-based hand sanitizer after disposing.(always
using mask in case of coughing or sneezing the mask changed and hand clean by sanitizer)
 Touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands not allowed.
 Shaking hands, touching faces, hugging, and other intimate contact it’s prohibit.
 Encourage employees to wash their hands regularly and avoid close contact (stay at least one
meter) from people who have, fever, coughing or sneezing
 Protect workers in close contact with the sick person by using additional engineering and
administrative control, safe work practices and PPE.
 Display posters with COVID-19 awareness and promoting respiratory hygiene. Combine this with
other communication measures, briefing in TBT’s and information on the company groups etc in
all workplaces
 Encourage employees to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 if they suspect
possible exposure.
 Workers temperature with a thermometer two times a day and monitored for fever and
recorded. Promote good respiratory hygiene in the workplace for everyone in the workplace
 Face masks and / or paper tissues are available at the workplaces, for those who develop a runny
nose or cough at work, along with closed bins for hygienically disposing of them
 Brief your workers that if COVID-19 starts spreading in their community anyone with even a mild
cough or low-grade fever (37.3 C or more) needs to stay at home.
 Inform and up-to-date on COVID-19 information done always.
 Keep communicating and promoting the message that people need to stay at home even if they
have just mild symptoms of COVID-19.
 If anyone has fever, cough and difficulty breathing, Inform EPC HSE Manager and First Aid Team
immediately.
 Discourage workers from using other workers phones, desks, offices, or other work tools and
equipment, when possible.
 Train all workers with reasonably anticipated occupational exposure to COVID-19 about the
sources of exposure to the virus
 Keep all workers informed on the changing risk at your workplace and the stand down of control
measures being used using effective workplace communication strategies.
Maintain regular housekeeping practices, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces,
equipment, and other elements of the work environment.

Metal dust  Power tool must be inspected by an authorized persons and color coded.
Noise  Ensure cable is free from physical damage.
 Ensure the working area is dry, never allow the cables to lay on wet surfaces.
Poor cable management  Defective grinders to be replaced or tagged off.
 Always use double eye protection (safety glass + face shield) throughout the job.

 Grinders must be placed “Disc Down” on the ground when not in use.
 Avoid wearing face cover, loose clothing and jeweler items while operating.
