1. A wire is bent to form a square of side 22 cm. If the wire is rebent to 2
form a circle, find its radius
2.Area of a rectangle and the area of a circle are equal. If the 3
dimensions of the rectangle are 14cm × 11 cm, then radius of the circle

3.A wall of a room is of dimensions 5 m × 4 m. It has a window of 3


dimensions 1.5 m × 1m and a door of dimensions 2.25 m × 1m. Find

corresponding to the base of the triangle is 8 cm, find the perimeter of
the triangle.

5.A circle of radius 5 cm is cut from circle of radius 6 cm find the 2

11.A path 1 m wide is built along the border and inside a square garden 1+2
of side 30 m. Find:
(i) the area of the path
(ii) the cost of planting grass in the remaining portion of the garden at
the rate of Rs 40 per m2.
12. A picture is painted on a cardboard 8 cm long and 5 cm wide such 1
that there is a margin of 1.5 cm along each of its sides. Find the total
area of the margin.
13. A room is 4.5 m long and 4 m wide. The floor of the room is to be 1
covered with tiles of size 15 cm by 10 cm. Find the cost of covering the
floor with tiles at the rate of ` 4.50 per tile.
14. Find the total cost of wooden fencing around a circular garden of 1
diameter 28 m, if 1m of fencing costs ` 300
15. How much distance, in meters, a wheel of 25 cm radius will cover 1
if it rotates 350 times?
