First Year Recollection

Theme: Loving Allah and for the sake of Allah (Hubb fillah wa lillah)

‫حب في هللا وهلل‬

Dalil Shar’i (Qur’anic/Sunnah Guidance):

‫ِين آ َم ُنوا أَ َش ُّد حُ ًّبا هَّلِل ِ )) قال‬


َ ‫ون هَّللا ِ أَندَ ا ًدا ُي ِحبُّو َن ُه ْم َكحُبِّ هَّللا ِ َوالَّذ‬
ِ ‫اس َمنْ َي َّتخ ُِذ مِنْ ُد‬
ِ ‫ (( َومِنْ ال َّن‬:‫تعالى‬
Allah said: And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allah as rivals (to
Allah). They love them as they love Allah. But those who believe, love Allah more (than anything
else). {Al-Baqarah:165}

‫ون هَّللا ُ َو َرسُولُ ُه أَ َحبَّ إِلَ ْي ِه ِممَّا‬


َ ‫ان أَنْ َي ُك‬ ٌ ‫ (( َثاَل‬:‫صلَّى هَّللا ُ َعلَ ْي ِه َو َسلَّ َم‬
ِ ‫ث َمنْ ُكنَّ فِي ِه َو َجدَ َحاَل َو َة اإْل ِي َم‬ َ ِّ‫َقا َل ال َّن ِبي‬
)).....‫سِ َوا ُه َما‬
Prophet said: The person possessing these three attributes will enjoy the sweetness of faith: (1)
(S)he loves Allah and His prophet more than anyone else….

Context: This module is designed for first year muslim college students. The facilitator should
consider the varied levels of (Iman) faith among the students and must able to connect the
recollection with other Islamic spiritual formation such MRS, “I’tikaf”, “Khoroj” and “Masturat”.

Objectives:

At the end of the recollection, each student should have been able to:
1. To become more aware of loving Allah
2. To feel Allah’s love and forgiveness
3. To commit one’s campus life to Allah

Second Year Recollection

Theme: Allah’s love in my family (Niamollah ala Osrati)

‫نعم هللا على أسرتي‬

Dalil Shar’i (Qur’anic/Sunnah Guidance):

،‫ وخلق منها زوجها‬،‫يا أيها الناس اتقوا ربكم الذي خلقكم من نفس واحدة‬
‫ واتقوا هللا الذي تساءلون به واالرحام إن‬، ‫وبث منهما رجاال كثيرا ونساء‬
‫هللا كان عليكم رقيبا‬
O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from
him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and
women; and fear Allah through Whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the
relations of) the wombs (kinship) . Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you. {An-Nisa: 1}

‫" أي الناس أحق بصحبتي يا‬: ‫الرسول صلى هللا عليه وسلم يقول لمن سأله‬
‫ قال ثم من‬،‫ قال ثم من؟ قال أمك‬،‫ قال ثم من؟ قال أمك‬،‫رسول هللا ؟ قال أمك‬
‫ قال أبوك‬،
A man once asked the Prophet to whom he should show the most kindness. The Prophet
replied: "Your mother, next your mother, next your mother, and then your father."

Context: This module is designed for Second year muslim college students. The facilitator should
consider and be sensitive to the various family backgrounds of the students. Some have strong
acceptance of Islamic rules and principles, some have moderate stand and some don’t even
accept because of “jahl” (ignorance).
Objectives:

At the end of the recollection, each student should have been able to:
1. To become aware of one’s role in building Allah-centered family.
2. To become aware of Allah’s love in the family.

Third Year Recollection

Theme: Responding to Allah’s love (ijtijabah ila hubbillah) through Da’wah ilalllah (Propagating
the Word of Allah)

‫استجابة إلى حب هللا‬

Dalil Shar’i (Qur’anic/Sunnah Guidance):

{‫يَا أَيُّهَا الَّ ِذينَ آ َمنُوا ا ْستَ ِجيبُوا هَّلِل ِ َولِل َّرسُو ِل إِ َذا َدعَا ُك ْم لِ َما يُحْ يِي ُك ْم َوا ْعلَ ُموا أَ َّن هَّللا َ يَحُو ُل بَ ْينَ ْال َمرْ ِء َوقَ ْلبِ ِه َوأَنَّهُ إِلَ ْي ِه‬
َ‫}تُحْ َشرُون‬...

O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he ( ‫صلى‬
‫ )هللا عليه وسلم‬calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in
between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And
verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. {Al-Anfal:24}

(ِ ‫) َو َمنْ أَحْ َسنُ َق ْواًل ِممَّنْ دَ َعا إِلَى هَّللا‬

And who is better in speech than he who invites to Allah and does righteous deeds, and
says: 'I am one of the Muslims. {Fussilat:33}

‫ليس منا من بـــــــــــــــــــــــــات شبعا ن وجاره جوعــان‬

He is not among us who slept with full stomach while his neighbor is hungry

Context: This module is designed for third year muslim college students. The facilitator should
consider the students’ campus and community involvement in which it is a good venue for them
“taqwiyatol iman” (strengthening their faith) and “okhowa Islamiyah” (true spirit of Islamic
brotherhood)”

Objectives:

At the end of the recollection, each student should have been able to:
1. To become aware of one’s role in cultivating compassion and unity in Islamic society.
2. To commit one’s self in responding to the call of Da’wah

Fourth Year Retreat

Theme: Following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Motaba-ato Sunnati Rasul)

‫متابعة سنة الرسول‬

Dalil Shar’i (Qur’anic/Sunnah Guidance):

ً
‫رحمة للعالمين‬ ‫وما أرسلناك إال‬
"And We have not sent you except as a mercy to mankind" {Al-Anbiya:107}

‫لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَاليوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا‬
Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad ‫ )صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬you have a good example to
follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah
much. {Al-Ahzab:21}

ُ‫ُّون هَّللا َ َفا َّت ِبعُونِي يُحْ ِب ْب ُك ْم هَّللا ُ َو َي ْغفِرْ لَ ُك ْم ُذ ُنو َب ُك ْم َوهَّللا ُ َغفُو ٌر َرحِي ٌم‬
َ ‫ق ْل إِنْ ُك ْن ُت ْم ُت ِحب‬
Say (O Muhammad ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬to mankind): "If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e.
accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive
you your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." {Al-Imran:31}

‫عليكم بسنتي‬

You are oblige to follow my sunnah

Context: This module is designed for Fourth year muslim college students. The facilitator should
consider the challenges in their past four years Campus/Academic life and challenges in the real
world after their graduation. This is the chance for them to have “mohasabato nafs” (self-
evaluation) and reflect on blessings and challenges.

Objectives:

At the end of the retreat, each student should have been able to:
1. To have a deep-felt appreciation of the graces received in the past four years.
‫‪2. To commit one’s self in living with the Sunnah of the Muhammad (Peace and blessings‬‬
‫)‪be upon him‬‬

‫ف َيأْتِي هَّللا ُ ِب َق ْو ٍم ُي ِح ُّب ُه ْم َو ُي ِحبُّو َن ُه{‬ ‫} َياأَ ُّي َها الَّذ َ‬


‫ِين آ َم ُنوا َمنْ َيرْ َت َّد ِم ْن ُك ْم َعنْ دِي ِن ِه َف َس ْو َ‬

‫إِنَّ هَّللا َ ُيحِبُّ ال َّت َّو ِاب َ‬


‫ين َو ُيحِبُّ ْال ُم َت َطه ِِّر َ‬

‫إِنَّ هَّللا َ ُيحِبُّ ْالمُحْ سِ ن َ‬

‫إِنَّ هَّللا َ ُيحِبُّ ْال ُم َت َو ِّكل َ‬

‫ت َعلَ ْي ِه َو َما َي َزا ُل ((‬ ‫ب إِلَيَّ َع ْبدِي ِب َشيْ ٍء أَ َحبَّ إِ َليَّ ِممَّا ا ْف َت َرضْ ُ‬ ‫َمنْ َعادَ ى لِي َولِ ًّيا َف َق ْد َآذ ْن ُت ُه ِب ْال َحرْ ِ‬
‫ب َو َما َت َقرَّ َ‬
‫))‪َ ..‬ع ْبدِي َي َت َقرَّ بُ إِلَيَّ ِبال َّن َواف ِِل َح َّتى أ ُ ِح َّب ُه‬

‫ُّون هَّللا َ َفا َّت ِبعُونِي يُحْ ِب ْب ُك ْم هَّللا ُ َو َي ْغفِرْ لَ ُك ْم ُذ ُنو َب ُك ْم َوهَّللا ُ َغفُو ٌر َرحِي ٌم‬
‫قُ ْل إِنْ ُك ْن ُت ْم ُت ِحب َ‬
‫يا أيها الناس اتقوا ربكم الذي خلقكم من نفس واحدة‪ ،‬وخلق منها زوجها‪،‬‬
‫وبث منهما رجاال كثيرا ونساء ‪ ،‬واتقوا هللا الذي تساءلون به واالرحام إن‬
‫هللا كان عليكم رقيبا‬

‫من أحب أن يبسط له في رزقه وينسأ له في أثره فليصل رحمه‬

‫الرسول صلى هللا عليه وسلم يقول لمن سأله ‪ ":‬أي الناس أحق بصحبتي يا‬
‫رسول هللا ؟ قال أمك‪ ،‬قال ثم من؟ قال أمك‪ ،‬قال ثم من؟ قال أمك‪ ،‬قال ثم من‬
‫‪ ،‬قال أبوك‬

‫كل مولود يولد على الفطرة فأبواه يهودانه أو ينصرانه أو يمجسانه‬

‫اإلسراء‪) (:‬وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَكَ عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا(‬
‫)‪79‬‬

‫ان َف ْل َيسْ َت ِجيبُوا لِي َو ْلي ُْؤ ِم ُنوا ِبي لَ َعلَّ ُه ْم َيرْ ُ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َوإِ َذا َسأَلَ َ‬
‫ُون " ( سورة البقرة‪)186‬‬
‫شد َ‬ ‫َّاع إِ َذا دَ َع ِ‬
‫ك عِ َبادِي َع ِّني َفإِ ِّني َق ِريبٌ أ ِجيبُ دَ عْ َو َة الد ِ‬

‫قال ‪( :‬يتنزل ربنا ‪ ،‬تبارك وتعالى ‪ ،‬كل ليلة إلى سماءـ الدنيا ‪ ،‬حين يبقى ثلث الليل اآلخر ‪ ،‬فيقول ‪ :‬من يدعوني فأستجيبـ له ؟ من‬
‫يسألني فأعطيه ؟ من يستغفرني فأغفر له ؟ ) (رواه البخاري و مسلم ومالك والترمذي وأبو داود‬
‫قيل لإلمام أحمد ‪ -‬رحمه هللا ‪" :-‬كم بيننا وبين عرش الرحمن؟ قال‪ :‬دعوة صادقة من قلب صادق"‪ ........ .‬هل تأكدت من حبه لك‬
‫أم مازلت تريد أدلة أخرى ؟‬

‫قال‪" :‬عِ ظم الجزاء‪ ،‬مع عظم البالء‪ ،‬وإن هللا إذا أحب قوما ً ابتالهم‪ ،‬فمن رضي فله الرضا‪ ،‬ومن سخط فله السخط "‪ .‬رواه‬
‫‪ .‬الترمذي وقال حديث حسن‬

‫"إن هللا عز وجل قال‪ " :‬ما يزال البالء بالمؤمن‪ ،‬والمؤمنة في نفسه‪ ،‬وولده وماله حتى يلقى هللا‪ ،‬وما عليه خطيئة‬

‫وفي الصحيح‪ :‬كان أبو طلحة أكثر األنصار بالمدينة ماال‪ ،‬وكان أحب أمواله إليه بيرحاء‪ ،‬وكانت مستقبلة المسجد‪،‬‬
‫وا ْالبِ َّر َحتَّى تُنفِقُ ْ‬
‫وا ِم َّما‬ ‫وكان رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه وسلم يدخلها ويشرب من ماء فيها طيب‪ ،‬فلما نزلت‪{ :‬لَن تَنَالُ ْ‬
‫تُ ِحبُّونَ }‪ .‬قام أبو طلحة إلى رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه وسلم فقال‪ :‬يا رسول هللا‪ ،‬إن هللا تعالى يقول في كتابه‪{ :‬لَن تَنَالُواْ‬
‫وا ِم َّما تُ ِحبُّونَ }‪ .‬وإن أحب أموالي إلي بيرحاء‪ ،‬وإنها صدقة هلل‪ ،‬أرجو برها وذخرها عند هللا‪ ،‬فضعها يا‬ ‫ْالبِ َّر َحتَّى تُنفِقُ ْ‬
‫رسول هللا حيث شئت‪ ،‬فقال‪( :‬بخ‪ ،‬ذلك مال رائح‪ ،‬ذلك مال رائح‪ ،‬قد سمعت ما قلت فيها‪ ،‬وأرى أن تجعلها في‬
‫‪.‬األقربين)‪ .‬قال‪:‬أفعل يا رسول هللا‪ ،‬فقسمها أبو طلحة في أقاربه وبني عمه‬

‫ب إليه من والده وولده(‬‫وفي رواية ‪ ‬للبخاري أيضاً عن ‪).‬فو الذي نفسي بيده ال يؤمن أحدكم حتى أكون أح ّ‬
‫عبد هللا بن هشام رضي هللا عنه قال‪ :‬كنا مع النبي صلى هللا عليه وسلم وهو آخذ بيد عمر بن الخطاب‬
‫ي من كل شيء إال نفسي " فقال‬ ‫ب إل ّ‬‫رضي هللا عنه فقال له عمر رضي هللا عنه‪ " :‬يا رسول هللا ألنت أح ّ‬
‫ب إليك من نفسك) فقال له عمر‪  :‬فإنه‬ ‫النبي صلى هللا عليه وسلم‪( :‬ال والذي نفسي بيده حتى أكون أح ّ‬
‫ي من نفسي " ‪ ،‬فقال النبي صلى هللا عليه وسلم‪( :‬اآلن يا عمر)‪ .‬فهذه الروايات فيها‬ ‫ب إل ّ‬
‫اآلن وهللا‪ ،‬ألنت أح ّ‬
‫تصريح بنفي اإليمان عن من لم يقدم حب النبي صلى هللا عليه وسلم على حبه لنفسه والدنيا بأسرها‪،‬‬
‫وكذلك فقد جاءت نصوص أخرى تصف من يقدم حب الرسول صلى هللا عليه وسلم على حبه لنفسه بالمؤمن‬
‫الحق ‪ ‬الذي ذاق حالوة اإليمان كما في الحديث الذي رواه الشيخان عن أنس رضي هللا عنه عن النبي صلى‬
‫ب إليه مما سواهما‪ ،‬وأن‬ ‫هللا عليه وسلم قال‪ ( :‬ثالث من كن فيه وجد حالوة اإليمان‪ :‬أن يكون هللا ورسوله أح ّ‬
‫يحب المرء ال يحبه إال هلل‪ ،‬وأن يكره أن يعود في الكفر كما يكره أن يقذف في النار)‬
