1.How do you respond to God when you feel inadequate to do something
he has called you to do?
Every time I feel I was unable to do what God has called me to
do, when I feel I don't have what it takes to move in life .Worship
is the best way to respond. First of all, I am very grateful that I
feel the way I do because that means I am dependent to God. I
should rejoice if I feel inadequate to the task because that
means I am a human dependent on God. I should rejoice, I feel
inadequate because that means i am going to depend on god to
enable me or do it through me. I don't have to make my life
happen, I just have to worship God and let him make it happen. I
don't have to strive to figure out my purpose, I have to strive to
know God, for he knows my purpose. My praise and faith will
illuminate the path which God will guide me into my future .God
was always there for us. Feeling inadequate is not necessarily a
weakness. If we turn our attention and focus on God instead of
on ourselves, then it can actually be a strength. When I am
feeling inadequate, I know that I have to depend on the Lord.
There is no other option, other than failure. When I am feeling
adequate and strong in my abilities, I am tempted to draw from
my own strength and not from the Lord. I personally don’t like
feeling inadequate, but that is when I see God working in my life
in a special way. It is a good place to be, even though it may not
feel that way at the time .Today we will continue looking at the
conversation between joseph and God. We will look at some of
the struggles that joseph was dealing with in his heart and how
God answered him. God wanted him to know that He is all that
joseph needed. He is an all-sufficient God.
2.How does knowing that God is “with you” affect your daily life?
Knowing that God is with me is by my faith. I am a follower of
jesus and I can apply his words the bible teaching to every
aspects of my life. The bible teaches things like honesty and
integrity that i can apply to my friends and relatives and others in
this community. Treating others with love and respect, being
generous , sharing my faith and many other things. All of this
affect my day to day living. As I grow with faith I will notice
changes in my life that will affect it on how i live. Knowing that
God is always with me make me feel contented. I feel so secure
and protected. I'm overwhelming with joy and love. I'm free
from worries and negative vibe, I put all my trust to him . I'm
surrounded by his grace and glory. I feel greatful for he is always
with us. I couldn't ask for more for he is enough for me to be in
this life we live for. Living my faith means keeping God presence
each day and it’s a blessing for me.I feel safe and not afraid to
deal with every challenges that comes along my way. I try to see
God in the people Im with. I know that he is behind the smile
and the eyes of each person. God is with me and believing so is
what keeps this soul fearless.
3.What kind of character qualities does God desire in our lives so that He
can use us to draw others to himself?
God want us to be God-fearing, God-loving,obedient. With these
qualities, we can be used by God as instruments to draw others
to Him. With these qualities, we can show to others goodness
and affect their lives, bringing them the idea that to be good is to
do what is essential. We can open the minds as well as the
hearts of others if we are good to them. We can influence others
to draw nearer to God with these qualities.Character is a
spiritual Fruit that is built from our real, godly relationship and
commitment to Christ as LORD Love will enable us to appreciate
our brothers and sisters in the Lord, and, of course, our family,
and others around us. Love is taking the initiative to build up and
meet the needs of others without expecting anything in return.
Joy will allow us to enjoy His creation, others, and our
circumstances with an expression of delight and real, authentic
happiness from and with harmony with God and others. Peace is
surrendering and yielding to the Lord's control, for He is our
ultimate peace! It is allowing tranquility to be our tone and to
control our equanimity. This will be fueled by our harmonious
relationship with God so we can hand over control of our heart,
will, and mind to Him. Once we make real peace with God, we
will be able to make and maintain peace with others.Patience is
showing tolerance and fortitude to others, and even accepting
difficult situations from them and God without making demands
and conditions. Kindness is practicing benevolence and a loving
attitude towards others.
4. Does your faith have an impact on anyone else?. What can you do to
visibly demonstrate your faith or trust to someone?
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
When I am in a dark place, I kneel and pray and I sing to God.
When you glorify his name, it seems to strengthen your heart. It
makes me whole again. Living your everyday life in such a way
that you apply your faith in every situation and circumstance is
something that needs to develop into your character rather than
something you do once in a while, e.g. when you’ve exhausted
every other possibility .I can visibly demonstrate by, Pray, A lot.
When you spend time in prayer asking God for what you
need/want and consulting God about the decisions you have to
make, faith will grow because when you ask, you receive. Listen
and act. Remember the example of the doctor who was only a
doctor in word but not deed? Your faith can’t grow if you don’t
act on the answers you ask for and receive. God speaks and God
provides the way to go, but He won’t drag you kicking and
screaming down the road. Know He has a reason for everything
and that His reason is always in our best interest. Share your
faith with others. Faith isn’t faith unless it is expressed and lived.
When you exhibit your faith in the little things as well as the big
things in life, two things happen: Your faith grows. When you see
faith in action you can’t help but want more action. Others can’t
help but notice. When you live out your faith, people notice.
When people notice, your faith and your words are a testimony
to the Good News of the Gospel. And when that happens, you
have faith in God and are faithful to.
5.What significant learnings did you gain from the life of Joseph?
There is no success without sacrifice. Nothing is a sacrifice unless
it costs you something. Effective leaders know the value of sacrifice.
For everything you gain, you lose something .I could almost sum up
joseph life in two words” he endure”. I learned that it is a fact of life
that there is no gain without pain, no progress without problems. On
the issue of endurance, I learned how to relate difficulties. Joseph
make a success of his life because he endured and have faith in God.
The key to his peace of mind was that he knew difficulties come into
every life and he knew how to respond to them correctly .God allows
those situations in our lives for specific purpose. Just choose God
priorities and then persevere. When all kinds of trials and temptations
crowd into your lives my brothers, don’t treat them as intruders, but
welcome them as friends! Realize that they come to test your faith and
to produce in you the quality of endurance. But let the process go on
until that endurance is fully developed, and you will find you have
become men of mature character with the right sort of independence.
God’s plans and purposes are far greater than our own! God provides
and blesses those who persevere to follow Him.Suffering to God’s
people is not always bad! God can use the most painful time of our life
for His good. There is value in self-control living in the do-whatever-
you-want culture. God honors patience and perseverance in time of
troubles. Strive for honesty and strong work ethics .They are sadly
missing these days. There is something to be said about fear of Lord
and faithfulness to Him.
