Dual-head Machine Installation and Alignment Instruction
⼀一:Preparation Before Power-On
1:Remove the fixed screw of the carriage
2:Check if there is any rigid item on print platform, to avoid any effect or damage of print
head while printing.
3:Ensure the outer case must be grounded. Otherwise electric boards and print head might be
damaged, and any warranty shall be invalid.
⼆二:Power-On Test (Gear Ratio Alignment)
    1:X-motor Gear Ratio Alignment
Click “Move” (Default 80000) till carriage motion stops. Ratio changed. Click
“Reposition”, repeat twice the same step till every time the capping station up motion stops.
Check if the car position number is always same during the three times alignments. Click “Apply”
“OK” to save settings.
    2:Y-motor Gear Ratio Alignment
Make a specified mark on material as starting position, click “Move” (Default 500MM),
measure the actual run distance. Input the measured length in Y-run option. Click
“Calculate” once, the Y-motor gear ratio will be automatically calculated. Click “Apply”
       “OK” to save settings.
三:Print head Installation (Hardware Installation, ensure machine is
power-off)
1:While installing a new print head, ensure each golden finger of cable plug in print head
connector place very smoothly. Warranty is invalid due to the incorrect installation.
2:Stick the golden fingers and print head connector place with electrical adhesive tape, to
prevent accidental ink spilling which may cause print head short-circuited. (As below picture)
3:Fix the print head on carriage with three specified screws, and ensure non loosening of
print head and the fixed plate.
4:Connect the print head and carriage board. The UP socket of print head should be plugged
to UP (Front) socket of board, the DOWN socket of print head should be plugged to
DOWN (Behind) socket of board as well.
5:Adjust the height and vertical level of print head corresponding to print platform. For
reference the height between the side plate and platform shall be around 1.5 times
thickness of a ONE YUAN coin. The height depends on different materials in practical
application. Meanwhile, ensure the front & back, left & right position of HEAD 1 and
HEAD 2 are parallel with the platform.
6:Upside down the damper, and use a syringe to pump the ink flowing to damper above half
      level.
    7:Installed Order of Damper: KKCCMMYY
四:Print head Alignment
Check if all cables connected well again before power-on.
1:Properly loosen the 4 fixing screws of the capping station, slightly adjust the station to
make the two print heads is centered of the two capping, for good absorption effect. Click “Ink
Fill” in panel display; stop around every 5 secs and start again after every 10 secs, to avoid print
head damaged due to the once long-time pump. Stop 20 secs after ink filled, click “Clean”, and
then print a head test.
2:Pump once, observe the height between absorption and wiper if it’s appropriate. Adjust the
“move up to pumping pulses” and “move up to scraping pulses”, ensure it can pump ink, and
wiper could wipe the ink drops perfectly. Generally, the “move up pulses”and “move up pumping
pulses” are same parameter, which is easier to locate the position of print head and capping, and
ensure the print head is in the correct position.
3:Click “VERT TEST”, to adjust the vertical level of HEAD 1, by fixing Screw 1, HEAD 2
by fixing Screw 3 & 4. After vertical alignment finished, fix the 4 screws of #1 head base plate
first, secondly fix Screw 2 then the 4 screws of #2 head base plate.
     4:Print a Head Test
Adjust the distance between HEAD 1 and HEAD 2. +/- based on HEAD 1, normally the
distance is around 1700mm.
5:Adjust the horizontal spacing between HEAD 2 and HEAD 1 (by fixing the Screw 3 and
Screw 4 of HEAD 2)
6:Bidirectional Alignment: Enter “Calibration” – “Bi-Dir Offset”, and print. +/- the number
based on the default parameter by observing the most corresponding regular pattern. Selective
align the 360DPI and 180DPI, which you could find in RIP: 720*720DPI-4PASS”
Accurate Stepping: “Step Offset” - “Base Step”, and print. Check the number of the thinnest
crossing line. +/- by Revise option.
7:After all alignments finished, print a line pattern by 10MM, the interval of horizontal and
vertical lines. As thinner as the lines are, would be better. Adjust the stepping while it’s printed till
all lines seems are the thinnest.
8:Print a full picture to check the width and length. If football field came in solid color,
different feather level can solve this problem. The “Average color” can also solve the uneven color
issue.
