Group begins in the town of Salt.

Salt is located on a large salt flat (Surprise there).

They recently lost contact with their nearby trade partner Tartarus.

Tartarus is a city located in a large cave system. The people there have adapted to
subterranean living.

They are ruled by The Rat King.

The Rat King is fucking crazy.

The people of Salt will request that the party go and examine their communications
outpost at the top of a nearby ridge.

The outpost is no longer operating because it was taken over by banditry, who were
using it as a camp from which to stage a raid of Salt.

The party will presumably deal with the banditry and inform the town.

Once the town is informed, the party will be thanked and invited to dinner with the
mayor.

Hopefully the accept. If they don't, he'll insist.

During the dinner, a man will enter with news for the mayor. He will have gotten
the radio working, and recieved a transmission.

The transmission was from The Rat King.

The Rat King will demand the mayor's daughter be delivered to him, otherwise he
will raze the town of Salt and kill all those whom inhabit it.

The Rat King will not be joking.

The Rat King will only be doing this to fuck with the Mayor. Should the Mayor give
up his daughter, the Rat King will send her back with a note that basically says
"Lol you're a shitty dad" on it.

The Party will be tasked with negotiating with the Rat King. The Mayor will give up
his daughter should he be presented with no other option.

Should the Rat King be persuaded, he will offer the team a deal. He will leave the
girl in exchange for
