1) The Carcoseal AP/WT/RR seal is designed to prevent the contact area between the lip and shaft from increasing under pressure, stabilizing the seal. 2) It is suitable for applications with adjusting movements, such as ship stabilizers, and provides good performance through increased interference on the mating face. 3) For sea water applications where corrosion is a risk, the seal can be supplied with a spring made of stainless steel or nickel alloy.

CARCOSEAL AP/WT/RR

Carcoseal AP/WT/RR. The lip is designed so that


the effect of pressure generates a favourable
stabilizing torque which prevent the surface contact
area between lip & shaft from increasing. This seal
is designed for adjusting movements, typically
used in ship stabilizers. It guarantee good The ideal finish is obtained with plunge grinding. It’s
performance due to an increased interference on important that the shaft sealing area is free from
the mating face. In sea water applications, when machining marks, dents, burrs, scratches or other

To facilitate the installation the shaft should have
