Surat Al-Baqara
Quoting Abu Huraira it is recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has warned that our houses should
not be made graves, Shaitaan runs away from the house where Surat Al-Baqara is recited.

BISMILLAH-ARRAHMAAN-ARRAHEEM
 
1.Aleef-Laam-Meem.
Letters recited as prefix to the Surat.
         
“ Zaalikal litaabu, laaraiba feehi hudan lilmuttaqeen”. [2].
2. “This is the Book, No doubt in it, there is guidance to those who fear Allaah” For َ‫ ﻣُﺖﱠ ﻗِﯿﻦ‬Ibn
Maa’ja has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “The best benefit one could get is, “fear of
Allaah Ta’ala”. After that he said “A pious wife is one who pleases her husband, when he looks at
her, when ordered obey him, fulfill his owes and in his absence safeguard his wealth and herself
from adultery”.
        
“Allazeena yuminoona bil’gaibi,wa yuqeemunassalaata wa mim’maa razaqnaa-hum
yunfiqoon” [3].
3. “Those who believe in the unseen, and establish prayers, and spend out of which we have
provided”. ‫ﯾُﻨﻔﻘُﻮن‬
Quoting Abu Huraira. Muslim has recorded the saying Rasoolullaah (SAS) that the reward of a
Dinar spent on his family is much greater than of the Dinar spent on the way of Allaah Ta’ala, on
redeeming a debtor from his debt, or spent in charity to a poor.
Quoting Ibn Umar, both Al-Bukhari and Muslim have recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah
(SAS) that Islaam is based on five principles.
1.To testify that none has the right to be worshiped but Allaah, and that Muhammad (SAS) is
Allaah’s Messenger.
2. To perform compulsory prayers.
3.To pay Zakaat.
4.To perform Hajj. (Pilgrimage to Mecca).
5.To observe Fast during the month of Ramazaan.
            
“Wallazeena yuminoonabi’maa unzila ilaika, wa maa unzila min qablika, wa bil’aaqirati
hum yuqinoon”.[4].
4. “ And who believe in the Revelation sent on you, and sent before you and have the assurance
of the Hereafter”.
Quoting Abu Zirr, Al- Qurtubi has recorded that Abu Zirr has asked Rasoolullaah (SAS)
about the number of Books/ Leaflets, which are revealed by Allaah Ta’ala on His Messengers.
Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied “One hundred leaflets and four books, fifty on Shees (AS), thirty on
Aq’nooq (AS), ten on Ibraaheem (AS) and ten on Moosa (AS) before the revelation of AT-Taowrat,
Al-Injeel on Easa (AS), Zaboor on Dawood (AS) and AL-Furqaan (Al-Qur’an) on Rasoolullaah
(SAS)”.
          
“ Ulaika ala hudam-mir’rabbhim, wa ulaika humul’muflihoon”. [5].

5. “They are on right guidance from their Nourisher and they will be successful”.
            
“ Innal’lazena kafaruu sawaaun alaihim a’anzartahum, am’lam tunzirhum laa’
yuminoon”. [6].
6. “Surely those who reject Faith, it is same to them, whether you warn them or do not warn
them, they will not believe”.
For the word " َ‫ " ﻛَﻔَﺮ‬Rasoolullaah (SAS) has explained that during Me’raj, he saw a majority of
those in the Hell were women. He was asked about the reason for that. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied
that it was because of their “Rejection”. Again he was asked as to whether they rejected the Faith on
Allaah. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied it was because of their rejection to performance of good deeds,
and explained that if you treat any one of them with kindness through out, even then, she will see
something in you and say that she had not seen anything good in you, (will not be satisfied).
               
“ Qatama -llahu alaa quloobihim wa alaa sam’i’him wa alaa absaarihim gisha’watun, wa
lahum azaabun azeem”. [7].
7. “Allaah has sealed on their hearts, and on their hearing, and on their eyes, is a veil, and for
them there is great punishment”.
Quoting Abu Moosa (AS) Al-Ash’ari, the nature of heart as explained by Rasoolullaah (SAS) is
recorded; he explained that the heart is like a feather, which can be turned upside down/any way by
the wind. Because of this nature Rasoolullaah (SAS) addressed Allaah Ta’ala as, “O’ Fastener of our
hearts, fasten our hearts for your obedience”.
Quoting Al-Huzaifa it is reported that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has explained that sedition is like
peaces of broken mat, falling on the heart, and if the heart does not accept its effects, a white spot is
formed. In the process it develops and the heart is enlightened. On the contrary, if the heart accepts
its effects a black spot is formed. In the process it develops and the heart is covered with darkness,
which does not like the virtues and is eager to do sins. Similar explanation has also been recorded in
the Hadees narrated by Ibn Jareer.
            
“ Wa minan’naasi main’yaqoolu aamanna billahi wa bil’yowmil aaqiri wa maa hum bi-
mu’mineen”. [8].
8.“From the people who say, we believe in Allaah and the Last Day, but they are not the
believers”.
            
“ Yu’qaadi’oonAllaaha wallazeena aaminu, wa maa yaq’da'oona illa anfusahum wa maa
yash’u’roon”. [9].
9. “They try to deceive Allaah and to those who believe, and they do not deceive but themselves
and do not realize”.
             
“Fee quloobihim marazun fa’zaadahumullahu marazan, wa lahum azaabun aleem, bimaa
kanu’yak’ziboon”. [10].
10. “There is a disease in their hearts, so Allaah has increased to them the disease, and for them a
grievous punishment because they were untruthful”.
           
“Wa iza qeela lahum laa tufsidu fil’arzi, qaalu innama nahnu muslihoon”[11]

11. “When it is said to them, not to make mischief on the earth”, they said, “Indeed we are peace-
makers”.
       
“ A’laa innahum, humul-mufsidoona wa laakin laa yesh’uroon”. [12].
12. “Beware they are those who make mischief, but they do not realize”.
                     
“ Wa iza qeela lahum aaminu kama aamannasu, qaaloo a’nu’minu kamaa aamanas-
sufahaa’u, a’laa innahum-humus sufahaa’u, wa laakin laa’ya’lamoon”. [13]
13. “When it is said to them, believe as the people have believed. They said, “Are we to believe
like the fools?” Truly they are the ones, who are fools, but they do not have the knowledge”.
                
“Wa iza laqul’lazeena aamanu qaaloo aamanna wa iza qalow ilaa shayaateenihim
qaaloo inna ma’a'kum innama nahnu mus’tah’ziuun”. [14].
14. “When they meet those who believed, they said, “We believed”, and when they meet
separately with their evil-ones, they said, “We are with you”. Indeed we are the mockers, (to those
who believed)”.
In spite of having the knowledge of those who were hypocrites, Rasoolullaah (SAS) had not
taken action against them, as has been recorded in the Hadees of Umar (Rz), where in Rasoolullaah
(SAS) has explained the reason that if action was taken against those hypocrites, they would spread
the rumor that Rasoolullaah (SAS) had resorted to kill his companions, thereby it would have
effected on the spread of Islaam, in the early stages.
It is also recorded that Abu Zirr (Rz) had asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) as to how Shaitaan could be
in human beings? Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “They are the hypocrites, when they meet the
Muslims, they say, they are with them, and when they meet the non-Muslims, they say they are with
them, and that they were mocking with the Muslims”.
        
“Allaahu yes’tahziuu bihim wa ya’muddu’hum fi tuq’yaanihim ya’mahoon”. [15].
15. “Allaah makes mockery with them, and prolong them in their despotism, they will wander in it”.
Explaining the nature of Allaah Ta’ala, Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said that Allaah Ta’ala will not
be bored and weary unless people become bored and weary with Him.
           
“Ulaika –allazeena –sh’ta’roo-zzalalata bil’huda, fama rabihat tijaa’ ratuhum wa maa
kaanu muh’tadeen”. [16].
16. “Those are the ones who have bartered away guidance for straying away from the right path,
thus their trade did not flourished, and they were not the guided ones”.
                  
“Masalahum ka masali-llaze-s’towqada naara, falamma azaa’at ma’howlahu zahaballhu
binoorihim wa tarakahum fi zulamaatin laayub’siroon”. [17].
17. “Their similarity is like one who kindled fire, when it lighted all around him, Allaah took
their light, and left them in utter darkness, so they could not see”.
       
“ Summun buk’mun um’yun fahum laa yarji’uun.”. [18].
18. “Deaf, dumb and blind. They will not return (to the path).

“Aow kasayyibim minas-samai feehi ra’dun wa barqun yej’aloona asaabi’a'hum fee
aazaanihim minassawaa’iqi hazaralmout wallaahu muheetun bil kaafireen”. [19].
19. “Or like that of a rain laden cloud from the sky in which [will be] darkness and thunder and
lightening, they keep their fingers in their ears, due to thunder-bolts, cautiousness of death, and
Allaah is circumambient to the rejecters of Faith”.
Ibn Umar has narrated that Rasoolullaah (SAS) used to pray when ever he heard thunder and
thunder-bolt, saying “O’ Allaah do not kill us due to Your anger and do not destroy us due to Your
chastisement and take care of us before that”.
                   

        


“ Ya’kaadul barqu yaqtafu absaarahum kullama azaa’a lahum mashaw feehi wa izaa
azlama alaihim qaamu wa laow shaa’Allaahu la’zahaba bi'sam’e'him wa absaarihim,
innallaaha alaa kulli shai'yin qadeer” [20].
20. “Almost/as if, the lightning snatches away their sight, whenever it lights to them, they walk
therein, and when it darkens to them, they stand still and if Allaah wished He would take away their
sense of hearing and seeing; certainly Allaah is powerful on all things”.
Explaining the light Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has mentioned about the
quantity of the light, which will be given to the believers according to their deeds. Some will get the
light from Madina to Aden, gradually decreasing according to the decrease in the deeds, that some
will get so little that the place of their foot will be lighted.
            
“Ya ayyuhannaasu u’budu rabbakum allazi qalaqa’kum wallazeena min qablikum
la’allakum tattaqoon”. [21].
21. “O’, people: worship with religious rights your Master Allaah, who has created you and those
before you, so that you may adopt piety”.
                  

     


Allazi ja’ala’lakumul’arza firaashan wa’ssamaa’a binaa’an wa anzala minassamaai
maa’an fa’aqraja bihi min assamaraatir’rizqallkum, falaa taj’alu lillahi andaadan wa antu
ta’lamoon”. [22].

22. “Who has made the earth a bed for you and the sky a rearing establishment and sent down
rain from the sky and brought forth, through it fruits for your sustenance, so do
not make rivals to Allaah, and know it, (the truth)”.
                   

 
“Wa in’kuntum fi’raibim mimma nazzalna alaa abdina fa’too bisooratim-mim mislihi
wa’d’uu shuhadaa’a' kum mindoonillahi in’kuntum saadiqeen”, [23].

23. “And if you are in doubt about that which we have revealed (AL-Qur’an) on My servant,
bring forth a “Surat” [chapter] like it, and call your witnesses/helpers without Allaah, if you are
honest”.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Muslim has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) that each prophet
was given miracles, seeing those miracles people accepted Faith in Allaah, and “My miracle is the
revelation of Al-Qur’an on me”, so I hope, comparatively my followers will be more.
               
“Fa’in lam taf’alu walan raf’alu fattaqu’nnara allati waqooduhannasu wal hijaaratun
u’iddat lil’kaafireen”. [24].
24. “If you cannot do it and surely you cannot do it, then fear the Fire, it’s fuel are men and
stones, which is prepared for the un-believers”.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Al-Bukhari has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said that the Hell
and Heaven challenged each other. The Hell claimed that the tyrannical and the proud arrogant
would enter in it. The Heaven claimed that the debiliterate and the poor miserable will enter in it,
then Allaah Ta’ala said pointing to Hell, “You are my punishment, I will punish with you whom I
may desire”, and pointing to the Heaven He said “you are My Mercy, I will pardon with you whom I
may desire, and for each of you, there is fulfillment”.
Explaining the depth of the Hell, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that the companions of Rasoolullaah
(SAS) heard a thunderous voice, and asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) about it. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied
that a stone was thrown into the Hell seventy years back and it reached on that day.
                 

                      
“Wa bashshiril'lazeena aamanu wa amilus’saalihati anna lahum jannaatin tajri min
tah’tihal'anhaaru, kullama ruziqoo minha min samaratin rizqaha, qaaloo haazal'lazee
ruziqnaa min qablu wa uutoo bihi mutashaabiha wa lahum feeha azwaajun mutahharatun wa
hum feeha qaalidoon”. [25].
25. “And give good news to those who believed and worked righteously, that there are heavens
for them beneath which rivers flow, every time they fed with fruits, they say “this is what we were
fed before”, as they were given things in similarity. In that they have clean and pure spouses, and
they live therein eternally”.
The tenth day of as the month Zul'Hajj is called "‫ "ﯾَﺆمَ اﻧﮭﻌﺮ‬Rasoolullaah (SAS) has explained that
which is slaughtered in the name of Allaah, and if its blood flowed, then only it is permitted to eat.
                    

                  

       


“ Innal-laaha laa yestahyee an yezriba masalan maa ba'uoodatan fama faow’qaha fa-
ammal'lazeena aamanu faya’lamoona annahul’haqqu min rabbihim wa ammal’lazeena
kafaroo faya’qooloona maazaa aradAllaahu bihaaza masalan, yuzilllubihi kaseeran wa yahdi
bihi kaseera, wa maayuzillu bihi illal’ faasiqeen”. [26].
26. “Surely Allaah do not feel ashamed to quote example of small creatures, such as mosquitoes,
or above it, so those who believe know that it is the truth from their Nourisher, and those who
rejected the Faith say “What do Allaah desire from this example”, By this He lead astray many and
by this He lead many to right path, and He do not lead astray by it except the immoral”.

“Allazeena yenquzoona ahadallaahi mim’ba’di meesaqihi wa yaqtauoona maa
amaral'laahu bihi an’yu'sala wa yufsidoona fil’arzi, ulaa'ika humul’qaasiroon”. [27].
27. “Those who break promise of Allaah, after its agreement, and put off the order of Allaah to
be united and do mischief on the earth, those are who cause loss to themselves”.
              
“Kaifa takfuroona billaahi wa kuntum am’waatan fa’ahyakum summa yumeetukum
summa yuh’yeekum summa ilaihi tur’ja’uoon” [28].
28. How can you reject the Faith of Allaah that you were without life, so He gave you life, then
He will cause you to die, then again He will bring you to life, then you will be caused to be returned
to Him.
                     

 
“Huwa’llazee qlaqa lakum maa fil’arzi jamee’an, summas’tawa ila’ssamai fasawwa’hunna
sab’a samaawatin wa huwa bikulli shai’in aleem” [29].
29. He who has created for you, all that which is in on the earth, and then He turned towards sky,
thus set it, completely as seven skies, and He is the knower of all things.
Muslim has recorded a Hadees quoting Sayeed Ibn Zaid that he heard Rasoolullaah (SAS)
saying, “One who grab land measuring a span of a hand cruelly, his neck will be wrapped with seven
earths.
                  

             
“Wa iz qaala rabbuka lil’malaai’kati inni jaa’i’lun fil arzi qaleefatan, qaaloo. a’taj’alu
feeha man yufsidu feeha wa yes’fikud’dimaa’a wa nahnu nusabbihu bi’hamdika wa nuqaddisu
laka, qaala innee a’lamu maa laa ta’lamoon”. [30].
30. And when your Nourisher said to the angles, I am to make a representative on earth, they
said, “Are you to make therein, one who make mischief therein and shed blood, and we praise you
and sanctify you”. He said, “Surely I know that which you do not know”.
Quoting Ibn Masabit it is reported that Makka is the center of the earth, therefore it is called, ّ‫"أم‬
"‫[ اﻟﻘﺮى‬Ummuml'quraa] mother of villages.
Talha Ibn Ubaidullaah has said that he has asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) about the meaning of َ‫"ﺳُﺒﺤﺂن‬
"‫اﻟﻠﱠﮫ‬.[Sub'haan''Allaah] Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied that it is to willfully determine Allaah to be in-
erroneous.
Abu Zirr has reported that Rasoolullaah (SAS) was asked about the excellent utterance. He
replied, “As to which choose Allaah, i.e. "ِ‫ "ﺳُﺒﺤﺂنَ اﻟﻠﱠﮫِ وَﺑِﺤَﻤﺪِ ه‬.[Subhaanal'laahi wa bi'hamdihi].
                 
“ Wa allama Aadana al’asmaa’a kullaha summa arazahum alal’malaa’ikati, fa;qaala
an’bi’ooni bi’asmaai haa’ulaai inkuntum saadiqeen” [31].
31. And He taught Adam, the names of all things, then placed them before the angles, and asked
them, “Inform Me the names of all those, If you are true”.

“Qaalu subhaanaka laa’ilmalana ilmalana illa maa’allamtana innaka antal’aleemul
hakeem’.[32].
32. They said, “Glory to You, we have no knowledge except that which You have taught us,
surely You are the knower and judicious”.
                  

     


“Qaala yaa Aadamu an’bi’u'hum bi ‘asmaaihim falamma anbaa’ahum bi asmaai’him.
Qaala a'lam aqullakum innee a’lamu gaibas’samaawaati wal arzi wa a’lamu maa tubdoona wa
maa kuntum taktumoon” [33].
33. He said, “O, Adam inform them of their names”, when he informed them of their names, He
said, “Did I not tell you, I know the secrets of the skies and the earth, and I know that which you
reveal and that which you conceal”.
             
“Wa iz’qulnaa lil’malaaikatis’judu li’Aadama fasajadu illa’ibleesa, abaa wastakbara wa
kaana minal kaafireen”.[34].
34. And when We said to the angels, “Prostrate yourselves before Aadam”, They fell prostrate,
except Iblees, he refused, claimed himself great, he was of those who reject Faith.
It is reported that Ma’az (Rz) told to Rasoolullaah (SAS), “I have seen the Syrians prostrate to
their leaders and religious scholars, whereas you deserve more to be prostrated. Rasoolullaah (SAS)
replied, “If at all prostration is allowed to human beings, I would have ordered the women to
prostrate to their husbands, as they have more rights on them”.
In respect of arrogance and haughtiness, it is reported that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said, “One
who is haughty and arrogant in his heart, so little as that of a mustard seed, will never enter in the
heaven”.
                 

 
“Wa qulna ya’Aadamus’kun anta wa zowjukal' jannata wa kula minha ragadan haisu
shi’tumaa wa laa taqrabaa haazihish’shajarata fatakoonaa minaz’ zaalimeen”.[35].
35. And We said, “O’ Aadam, dwell you and your wife in the heaven, and eat both of you from it
comfortably, as you like both , but do not be, both of you near this tree, or else both of you will
become from the oppressors”.
Explaining some of the things that are forbidden to some, Al-Qurtubi has recorded that
Rasoolullaah (SAS) have refused the use of gold and silk to Muslim men and in another saying He
(SAS) said, “These are destructive to my people”.
                 

   


“Fa'azalla’humas’Shaitaanu an’ha, fa’aqrajahuma mimma kaana feehi, wa qulna’hbitu
ba’zukum li’ba’zin adu’wun wa lakum fil’arzi mustaqarrun wa mataa’un ilaa heen” [36].
36. Then the shaitaan caused the two to stumble from it, thus got the two out from which they
were. We said, “Get down, some of you are enemy to some, and you will have habitation and
provisions on earth, till a time”.

            
“Fatalaqqa Aadamu mir’rabbihi kalimaatin fataaba alaihi innahu huwat’’tawwabur
raheem” [37].
37. Then Aadam learned words from his Nourisher, ( Allaah) pardoned him; surely, He is the
most Forgiver and most Merciful.
                  
“Qul’nah'bitoo minha jamee’an fa’imma’yati’yannakum minnee hudan, faman tabi'aa
hudaaya falaa qaowfun a’laihim wa laa hum yahza’noon”.[38].
38. We said, “Go down all of you from here, then whenever guidance comes to you from Me,
thus whoever follows My guidance, there shall be no fear to them and they shall not be grieved.
           
“Wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi’aayaa’tinaa, ulaika as'haabunnari hum feeha
qaalidoon” [39].
39. And those who rejected Faith, and belied our signs, they are the companions of the Fire, they
shall abide therein for ever.
Quoting Ibn Jareer, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Those who will
be destined to be thrown in to the Hell, shall remain there for ever, no death to them nor a peaceful
life, and the plurulist will be put into the Hell for their evils, they will be burnt and become char-
coal. Afterwards they will be removed from there intercession”.
             
“Yaa bani israeluz’kuru ni’mati allati an’amtu alaikum wa uoofoo bi’ahdi uoofee
bi’ahdikum wa iyyaya far’haboonee” [40].
40. “O’ Children of Israel, Remember My favour which I bestowed upon you and fulfill your
promise with Me, I will fulfill My promise to you, and fear Me alone”.
                   
“ Wa aaminu bimaa anzaltu musaddiqan limaa ma’a’kum wa laa takoonoo awwala kafirin
bihi wa laa tash’taroo bi’aayaatee samanan qaleelan, wa iyyaya fat’taqoonee” [41].
41. “And believe in which I have revealed, confirming that which is with you, (revelation), and
do not be the first to reject it, (Faith) and do not sell My signs for small price, and beware of Me
alone”.
Abu Dawood has recorded the saying Rasoolullaah (SAS) “One who learns the Knowledge
which pleases Allaah Ta’ala, for the sake of worldly comforts, he will not smell the sweet smell of
the heaven”.
Al-Bukhari has recorded the saying of AL-Qudri, that he fixed a price for the treatment of
snakebite, and recited Al-Qur’an and puffed on the patient, the patient recovered, Al-Qudri accepted
the amount. The matter was reported to Rasoolullaah (SAS), He said, “The amount which you have
accepted on things, the price accepted on the book of Allaah is more obligatory”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded another Hadees that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has caused the marriage, and
the dower was fixed to teach Al-Qur’an which he remembered to his wife.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded a Hadees quoting the source from Abu-Huraira, that he asked
Rasoolullaah (SAS) about the teachers (religious) Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “Their Dirham
(wealth) is ill-gotten, their clothes acquired with improper means and their speech is hypocrisy”.
But Imam Malik, Imam Ash-Shafa'ee, Imam Ahmad, Abu Saowr and many other scholars have
permitted accepting fee for teaching Al-Qur’an, on the basis of a Hadees recorded by Al- Bukhari,
quoting the source from Ibn Abbaas, wherein Rasoolullaah (SAS) `has said, “The price accepted on
the book of Allaah is more obligatory. (Mentioned above).

Ibn Kaseer has mentioned a Hadees from Abu Dawood that one person from As-Sufa, (a place
near the mosque of Al-Madina where the companions of Rasoolullaah (SAS) were dwelling, only to
learn the teaching of Islaam from Rasoolullaah (SAS), they were fed on the donations given to
Rasoolullaah (SAS), was taught some Al-Qur’an, as a gratitude, he presented a bow to the person
who taught him. The matter was referred to Rasoolullaah (SAS). He replied, “If you are prepared to
receive a bow of fire, then, accept it”. The gift was refused to be accepted.
        
“ Wa laa tal’bisool'haqqa bil baatili wa tak’tumul’haqqa wa antum ta’lamoon”. [42].
42. Do not confound the truth with false-hood, nor conceal the truth, while you know it.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “The fear of one should not stop you
to say or stand on the truth, as it is”.
       
“ Wa a;qeemus’Salaata wa aatuzzakaata wa arka'uoo ma’arrakiyeen”, [43.
43. And be steadfast in prayer (Salaat) and pay Zakaat (the due to the poor) and bow-down with
those who bow-down (in prayer).
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “one who get the prostration in the
collective prayer, he will be treated as if prayed in the collective prayer”.
Quoting the source from Aa'yesha (Rz), Muslim has recorded, that she said, “Rasoolullaah (SAS)
used to begin his prayer with, , and in bowing down for "‫ "رﻛﻮع‬he did not raised his head as if to
personate nor bend too much, but used to be in between.
AL-Bukhari has recorded from Abu Hameed, As-Sayeedi, that he saw Rasoolullaah (SAS), used
to keep his hands at the shoulders, at the beginning of he prayer with, "‫"اﻟﻠﱠﮫُ اﻛﺒﺮ‬and at the time of
bowing down ( ‫ )رﻛﻮع‬used to keep his hands on the knees, never wrenched his back.
Quoting Anas, Muslim has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) ordered, “Maintain reasonableness
while prostrating, none should spread out his arms as that of a dog”.
Al-Bara’a has said, “Rasoolullaah (SAS) has directed me to keep the hands palm open while
prostrating and to raise the elbows”,
Maimoona (Rz), wife of Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said. “While prostrating Rasoolullaah (SAS)
used to put his weight on the hands, i.e. inclined, that one can see the brightness from behind him,
and while sitting, sat peacefully on his left thigh”.
Quoting Ibn Abbaas, Al-Bukhari has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “I am ordered
to prostrate on the elevation of the face, and indicated by his hand to his nose and hands and knees
and corners of the legs, and not to be haughty with clothes and hairs”.
Quoting Mu’jeeb, Muslim has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) had ordered a person to make
the earth even, while prostrating alone.
Quoting Anas Ibn Malik, Al-Qurtubi has recorded, “We used to pray with Rasoolullaah (SAS)
during severe heat, when no one could place his forehead on earth, he used to spread his clothe and
prostrate on it.
Quoting Rifa’at Ibn Rafi’e, Nisa’e, and Ad-Daru-Qutni and Muslim Abu Huraira, have recorded
that Rasoolullaah (SAS) was sitting with the people that a person came and prayed. Rasoolullaah
(SAS) asked him to pray again, stating that he had not prayed. Like that he was asked to pray three
times, then the person asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) about the mistake he was committing, then
Rasoolullaah (SAS) said” Your prayer will not be complete unless you observe ablution as ordered
by Allaah Ta’ala to him. The face has to be washed, and hands up to elbows, sweep away the head
and feet up to ankle, then begin the prayer with "‫ "اﻟﻠﱠﮫُ اﻛﺒﺮ‬and praise Him, then recite
"‫ "اُمّ اﻟﻘﺮآن‬i.e. Surat Ul-Fatiha, and that which is easy from Al-Qur’an, then bow down by saying
"‫ "اﻟﻠﱠﮫُ اﻛﺒﺮ‬placing hands on the knees till joints are eased, then by saying "َ‫"ﺳﻤِﻊَ اﻟﻠﱠﮫُ ﻟِﻤَﻦ ﺣَﻤِﺪ ه‬, stand
straight till all the bones are at their places, then prostrate by saying, "‫“"اﻟﻠﱠﮫُ اﻛﺒﺮ‬by placing the
forehead on the ground, till the folded parts are eased, (and by saying, "‫"اﻟ ﻠﱠﮫُ اﻛﺒﺮ‬get up for the next

"‫"رﻛﻌﺖ‬or "‫ "ﻗﻌﺪه‬for conclusion). Like that Rasoolullaah (SAS) described the kneeling down for each
"‫ "رﻛﻌﺖ‬Rasoolullaah (SAS) said “No one’s prayer is complete unless one prays as mentioned.
Quoting Ibn Umar [Rz], Muslim has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Collective
prayer is superior by twenty five grades then that which is prayed alone, Similar saying of
Rasoolullaah (SAS) is recorded quoting Abu Huraira.
Abu Dawood has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) “The prayer of the eighbour of a
Masjid is only in the Masjid.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Muslim has recorded that a blind person approached Rasoolullaah (SAS)
and asked permission to pray in his house, as there was no one to take him to the Masjid.
Rasoolullaah (SAS) permitted him to do so, when he was returning, Rasoolullaah (SAS) called him
and asked as to whether he can hear the call for prayer, "‫"آذان‬. The blind man replied in affirmative.
Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “continue it”. In this Hadees Abu Dawood has recorded the words of
Rasoolullaah (SAS), “I do not find a reason to permit you for that”.
In collective prayer, the Imam leads and other follow him, and Rasoolullaah (SAS) has stressed
to have a leader to be followed. Thus quoting Abu Huraira, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of
Rasoolullaah (SAS) “Whenever you travel select a leader amongst you, even though a smaller one to
you”.
Quoting Abu'Bakar (Rz) Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) when he was
told that the Iranians adopt the daughter of “Kisra” as their ruler, He said” Nation will not prosper
when a woman is given the authority to rule”.
Quoting Abu Huraira Ad-Daru-Qutni has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS). “Your
secret is to purify the prayers, give preference to those of you who are humanitarians”.
Quoting Ibn Umar, AL-Qurtubi has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has ordered, “Make your
prayer leaders of your choice, as they are the delegates for that which is between you and Allaah
Ta’ala”.
Al-Muwatta, Al-Bukhari, Muslim and others have recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has severely
warned to those who raise their heads before the Imam in prayer, as Allaah Ta’ala may change their
heads like that of a donkey or their voice to be as of a donkey”.
AL-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “All the activities which are not
ordered by me, are to be rejected”.
Quoting Ibn Abbaas, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the teaching of "ُ‫ "اﺗَﺸّﱠﮭﺪ‬by Rasoolullaah (SAS),
َ‫"اﺗﱠﺤِﯿﱠﺎتُ آﻟ ُﻤﺒَﺎرَﻛَﺎتُ اﺳﱠﺼﻠﻮَتُ اﻟﱠﻄﱠﯿﺒﺎتُ ﻟِﻠﱠﮫِ اﺳﱠﻶمُ ﻋََﻠﯿﻚَ أﯾّﱡﮭَﺎ اﻧﱠﺒﻲﱡ وَرَﺣﻤَﺘُﮫُ اﻟﻠﱠﮫِ وَﺑَﺮَﻛَﺎﺗُﮫُ اﺳﱠﻠﻶمُ ﻋﻠَﯿﻨَﺎ وَﻋَﻠﻰ ﻋِﺒَﺎدُاﻟﻠﱠﮫِ اﺻﱠﺎ ﻟِﺤِﯿﻦ‬
"ِ‫أﺷﱠﮭَﺪُ آﻧﺎﻵاِﻟَﮫَ اِﻟ ﻠﱠﮫُ وَاﺷﮭَﺪُ اُنﱠ ﻣُﺤَﻤﱠﺪُ رَﺳُﻮلُ اﻟﻠﱠﮫ‬
             
“ A’taa’muroonan’naasa bil’birri wa tansawna anfusakum wa antum tat’loonal kitaaba
a’falaa ta’qiloon” [44].
44. Do you order the people to be righteous and forget it to yourself while you read the
Scriptures, why do you not understand?
Ibn Kaseer has recorded he saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “While on Me’raj
"‫("ﻣﻌﺮاج‬Rasoolullaah (SAS)’s midnight journey to the Seven Heavens) “I saw some people’s lips and
tongues were being cut with scissors of fire, I asked as to “who are they”? I was told, “they are the
preachers, and sermonizers and scholars of your people, who used to preach others but did not
practiced themselves, in spite of having the knowledge”.
Quoting Usama, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that he heard Rasoolullaah (SAS) saying, “A person
will be brought on the Doomsday and thrown into the Hell his intestines will come out and he will
be circling it other sufferers of the Hell will ask him the reason for being in Hell, as he was
preaching good deeds and obstructing others to do ill-deeds, he will express his sorrow for he was
preaching others but not practicing himself”.
Quoting Ibn Asakar, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “While seeing
the persons in the Hell, persons of Heaven will ask them the reason for that as they has followed

their preaching’s and entered the Heaven. Their reply will be that they preached others but did not
followed them selves.
         
“Was’ta’eenu bis’sabri was’salaati wa innaha la’kabeeratun illaa ala’l qashiyeen” [45].
45. And seek (Allaah’s) help with patience, perseverance and prayer, it is indeed hard except to
those who are humble and submissive.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Fasting during the month of
Ramazaan is half of the patience, (as it restricts misdeeds).
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Abu Huzaifa that he had observed that at the time of
hardships and grief, Rasoolullaah (SAS) used to pray. Ibn Jareer has recorded as incidence that
Rasoolullaah (SS) saw Abu Huraira in severe pain and asked him as to whether if to be a pain in
stomach. When replied in affirmative. Rasoolullaah (SAS) told him ‘Get up and start prayers, as its
cure is in it”
        
“Allazeena yazannoona annahum mulaaqoo rabbihim wa annahum ilaihi raajiuoon”.[46].
46. Those who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Nourisher, and that they are
to return to Him.
           
“Yaa bani’israelaz’kuroo ni’mati allati anamtu alaikum wa anni fazzaltukum
alal’aalameen”. [47].
47. O’ The Children of Israel remember the favour which I have bestowed upon you and I have
preferred you upon the realms, (compared to others in the worlds).
Quoting the books of traditions of Rasoolullaah (SAS) Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of
Rasoolullaah (SAS) to his followers, “You are the seventieth sect, excellent and revered upon all”.
                   
“Wattqu yowma laa tajzi nafsun an nafsin shai’a wa laa yuqbalu minha shafa’atun wa laa
yuqazu minha adlun wa laa hum yunsaroon”, [48].
48. And guard yourselves against a day when no one shall avail anything from other, and no
intercession will be accepted for him/her and there will be no help to them.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) was asked the meaning of "‫"ﻋﺪل‬. He replied,
“Ransom”.
"‫"ﺗَﺠﺰِي‬Quoting Abu Huraira, AL-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “On
the Doomsday, one who owed or done cruelty to his brother, (any Person) will not have currency to
compensate, but if he has good deeds, those deeds will be transferred to his victim, according to his
cruelty. In case if he had no good deeds to his credit, the evils of the victims will be transferred on
him”.
Quoting the source from Umar (Rz), Al- Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS),
“If water is poured on water on the earth it will compensate”. i.e., if water is poured on the urine on
earth, then there is no need to wash that place to clean it.
                

   


“Wa iz najjai’naakum min aali fir’awona yasoomoonakum soo’al; azaabi yuzabbihoona
abnaa’a'kum wa yes’tah’yuna nisaa’akum wa fee zaalika balaa’un min rabbikum azeem”. [49].
49. And (remember) when we rescued you from Fir’aown’s people, who were afflicting you with

dreadful torment, slaying your sons and sparing to live your woman, in that it was a tremendous
trial from your Nourisher, (who is supreme).
In the incidence of rescue of children of Israel, Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Nisa’e, Ibn Ma’aja and
others have recorded that when Rasoolullaah (SAS) migrated to AL-Madina, he saw that the Jews
were observing fast on the tenth day of the month Muharram. He asked the reason for that. He was
replied that on the day, they were rescued from the clutches of Fir’aown, and their enemy was
drowned. Thus a sacred day, and Moosa (AS) observed fast on that day, paying gratitude to Allaah.
Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “I am more entitled than you in this righteousness of Moosa” (AS). He
observed fast and also ordered his followers to observe fast on that day.
Quoting Ibn Abbaas, AL-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “If I am alive
next year I shall fast on the ninth day, (of Muharram).
Quoting Ibn Qaraada, Muslim and At-Tirmizi, Al-Qurtubi have recorded the saying of
Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Fasting on the Aashoora day (tenth day) satisfy Allaah Ta’ala, so as to reject
the misdeeds of his previous year”.
            
“Wa iz faraqna bikumul’bahra fa’anjai’naakum wa ag’raqna aala firaowna wa antum
tan’zuroon” [50].
50. And (remember) when We divided the sea for you, thus rescued you and drowned the people
of Fir’aown, and you were seeing.
             
“Wa iz waa’adna Moosa ar’bayeena lailatan summa’ttaqaztum al’ijla min ba’dihi wa
antum zaalimoon” [51].
51. And (remember) when we promised with Moosa (As) for forty nights and in his absence you
took the calf (for worship) and you were the wrongdoers.
        
“Summa afaownaa ankum min ba’di zaalika la’alla’kum tash’kuroon”. [52].
52. Afterwards we did forgive you, so that you may perhaps be grateful.
Quoting Abu-Huraira, Abu Dawood and At-Tirmizi, have recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah
(SAS), “Allaah Ta’ala will not appreciate those who do not appreciate the people”.
       
“Wa iz aatai’na Moosal’kitaaba wal’furqaana la’allakuim tah’ta’doon”. [53].
53. And (remember) when we gave to Moosa (As) the Scripture and the distinguisher, so that you
may perhaps be guided to the right.
               

            
“Wa iz qaala Moosa liqowmihi, yaa qaowmi innakum zalamtum anfusakum
bi’ittiqaa’zikum al’ijla fa’toobu ila baareekum faq’tulu anfusakum zaalikum qairun lakum
inda baareekum fa taaba alaikum innahu huwat’tawwabur raheem”. [54].

54. And, (remember) when Moosa (AS) said to his people, “O’ My people you have wronged
yourselves by holding the calf (for prayer), so turn, in repentance to your Creator. Then He pardoned
you, Surely He is Supreme in forgiveness, Most Merciful.
              

“Wa iz qultum yaa Moosa lan nu’mina laka hatta naral’laaha jahratan, fa’aqazat’kum
as’saa’i’qatu wa antum tanzuroon”.[55].
55. And when you said, “O’ Moosa (AS) we will never believe you until we see Allaah clearly”,
so the thunder bold seized (Killed) you, and you were looking at.
       
“Summa ba’asnaa’kum min ba’di maowtikum la’allakum tash’kuroon”. [56].
56. Then we realived (Brought To Life) you after your death, so that you may perhaps be
grateful.
                 

  


“Wa zallalnaa a’laikumul’gamama wa anzalnaa alaikumul’manna was’salwaa, kuloo min
tayyi’baatin maa razaqnaakum, wa maa zalamoona wa laa’kin kaanu anfusahum
yaz’limoon”. [57].
57. And We caused the cloud to overshadow you, and We sent down upon you Al-manna (a kind
of gum or dew) and Assalwa (a kind of bird). “Eat from the good which We have provided, and
(they) did not harmed Us, but were harming themselves.
                

    


“Wa iz qulnad’quloo hazihil’qar’yata fa’kuloo miha haisu shi’tum ragadan
wad’qulul’baaba sujjadan wa qooloo hittatun nag’fir’lakum qata’yaakum wa
sanazeedul’muhsineen”.[58].
58. And when We said, “Enter into this town and eat from that which is there in comfortably, as
you like it, and enter the gate prostrating and say,[Hitatun] , (humiliation), it will cause pardon to
your misdeeds, and We will increase (for ) the ameliorators”.
                 

 
“Fa badda’lallazeena zalamoo qaowlan gai’rallazi qeela lahum fa’anzalnaa allazeena
zalamoo rij’zan minas’samaai bimaa kaanoo yaf’suqoona”. [59].
59. But the transgressors changed the word, which had been told to them to another one, so we
sent punishment on them from the sky because they were doing debauchery.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Muslim has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “The children of
Israel were asked to enter the gate saying "Hittatun",so that their misdeeds would be pardoned. But
they entered the gate changing the word and said, "Habbatun fee shi'rihe", seed in his hair), Al-
Bukhari has also recorded the same.
Muslim has recorded the explanation of Rasoolullaah (SAS) for the word "Al'Ihsaan",
(performance of good deeds) in his reply to Jibrael who asked its meaning, “Praying Allaah as if
seeing Him, if you cannot be seeing Him, surely He is seeing you,” Jibrael said,” You are correct”.
                 

“Wa izistasaqa Moosa liqaowmihi, fa’qulnazrib bi’asaakal’hajara, fan’fajarat minhusnata


ash’rata, ainan, qad alima kull unaasin mashrabahum, kuloo wash’raboo min rizqillahi wa laa
ta’sow fil arzi mufsideen”. [60].
60. And when Moosa (AS) asked water for his people, then We said, “Hit the rock with your
staff”, then gushed out twelve springs from it, thus all the people knew their drinking place.
“Eat and drink from Allaah’s means of livelihood, and do not be arrogant, corruptive on the
earth”.
Quoting Abdullah, Al-Qurtubi has recorded a miracle of Rasoolullaah (SAS) in the battle, and
there was no water, the matter was reported to Rasoolullaah (SAS), he called for a bowl, of water
and kept his hand in it. Abdullah said that he saw water gushing from his fingers. All satisfied, even
cleaned themselves.
An-Nisa’e has also recorded this event and added that Salam bin Al-Ja'id asked Jabir, about the
number of persons on that day. His reply was “one thousand five hundred”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) in respect of the water “ZamZam”,
that “it is relishing food and from ailments”.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) Al-Qurtubi has recorded, “In case the Imam ask for
food (maintenance), provide him, “(the imam has to be paid in case he desire).
                   

“ Wa iza qultum lan nas’bira alaa ta’aa’min waahidin, fa’duoo lana mim’ma tunbitul’arzu
min baqaliha wa qissaaiha wa foomiha wa adasiha wa basaliha, qaala a’tastabdiloona allzi
huwa adna billazi huwa qairun, ihbiti misra, fa'inna lakum masa wltum wa zuribat alaihim
azzillatu wal’maskanatu wa baa’uoo bi’ gazabim’ minAllaahi zaalika biannalahum, kaanoo
yakfuroona bi ‘aayaatillaahi wa yaq’ tuloonan’nabeeyeena bi’gairil haqqi. Zaalika bima asow
wa kaanu ya’tadoon”. [61.
61. And when you said, “O’ Moosa (AS), we cannot be on one kind of food (always),
so call your Nourisher to produce for us that which the earth grows, its herbs and its cucumber
and its garlics and its lentils and onions”, He said, “Do you like to exchange the better one for the
worse? Go down to a settlement [Egypt], surely you shall have that which you asked, and they were
charged with humiliation and misery. They drew themselves the anger of Allaah, it was because they
were rejecting the signs of Allaah and were slaying the Prophets wrongfully, that was because they
disobeyed and were doing transgression.
Quoting Abu Sayeed Al-Qudri, Al-Qurtubi has recorded that they (Israilies) used to eat garlic
during the days of Khaiber, , observing it Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “O’ people, it is not for me to
forbid that which Allaah has permitted, but I do not like its smell”.
Quoting Omer Al-Khattab (Rz), Al-Muslim has recorded his speech, “It is for you O’ people, I
could not find any thing but maliciousness in two plants i.e. onion and garlic. I have seen when
Rasoolullaah (SAS) smelt the smell of those two from a person entered in the mosque the ordered
him to be sent out to Al'Baqee,. So it is for one who desire to eat them should cook them and eat”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying that Rasoolullaah (SAS) and his family never ate bread made
of wheat continuously for three days, from the day he came to Al-Madina till his death.
Al-Qurtubi has also recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) used to like sweet honey and sweet cold
water.

Quoting Abu Dawood and Tayalisi, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS),
“On the Day of Judgment severest punishment will be given to whom the prophet had killed, who
killed a prophet, the leader of misdeeds and the painter of portraits”.
              

         
“Innallazina aamanoo wallazeena haadoo, wan’nasara was’saabiyeena man aamana
billaahi walyowmil’aaqiri wa amila saalihan fa’annahum ajrahum inda’ribbihim wa
laaqaowfun alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon”. [62]
62. Surely those who believe, (in the Ql-Qur’an and Mohammad,[SAS] as the messenger of
Allaah) and those who follow jewish scriptures, and the Christians and the Sabi'eans who believe in
Allaah and the Last Day, and worked righteously, shall have their reward at their Nourisher, there
shall be no fear to them and they shall not grieve.
                 
“Wa iz aqazna meesaqakum wa rafa’na fowqakumuttoora, quzoo maa aatainakum
biquwwtin waz’kuroo maa feehi lallakum tattaqoon”. [63].
63. And when We held your covenant and raised the mount At-Toor, above you, (ordered to)
“hold fast that which we have given to you, remember that which is therein, so that you may fear
Allaah”.
Quoting Abu Sayeed Al-Qudri, An-Nisai has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “The
wickedness of people is that an immoral person read Al'Qur'an, but he cold not get the benefit of any
thing from it,”.
              
“Summa tawallaitum min ba’di zaalika falaowla fazullaahi alaikum wa rahmatahu
lakuntm minalqaasireen”. [64].
64. “But you turned back afterwards, Had it not been for the grace and mercy of Allaah upon
you, you must had been from the looser”.
             
“Walaqad alim’tum allizeena’a’tadaow minkum fis’sabti fa’qulna lahum koonoo qirdatan
qaasiyeen”. [65].
65. “You know pretty well those from you who transgressed in the matter of “Sabt”(‫)اﻟﺴﺒﺖ‬, We
told them to become disgraceful apes”.
Quoting Abdullah Ibn Bat’ha, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein
he has ordered his followers, “Do not resort to artifice in converting the forbids of Allaah, as
permission deceitfully, as the Jew did?”.
Quoting Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood, Muslim has recorded the explanation of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
when he was asked, as to whether apes now available are those who were punished by Allaah Ta’ala
to become apes. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “Allaah Ta’ala will not order a punished community to
continue with the punishment in the next generations, and the apes were there, before the
punishment.
         
“Fa ja’alnaaha nakaalan limaa baina yadaiha wa maa qalfaha wa maow’yi’zatun
lil’muttaqeen”. [66].
66. “So we made it a warning to them and to those succeeding them, and an admonition to those
who fear Allaah”.

“Wa izqaala Moosa liqaowmihi innallaaha ya’murukum an’taz’bahoo baqaratan, qaaloo,
a’tattaqizuna huzu’wan, qaala a’uoozu billahi an akoona minal’ jahileen”. [67].
67. When Moosa (AS) said to his people, “Surely, Allaah orders you to scarify a cow”. They
said, “Do you take us to ridicule”. He said, “I seek the protection of Allaah that I, to become from
the ignorant”.
                        

 
“Qaalud’u’lana rabbaka yubaiyin lana maa hiya, qaala innahu yaqoolu innaha baqaratun
laa faarizun wa laa bikrun, awanun baina zaalika faf’aloo maa tu’maroon”. [68].
68. They said, “Ask your Nourisher, for us to make us clear, what (cow) it should be”. He
(Moosa AS) said, “He (Allaah) says, the cow should be neither too old nor too young, it should be in
between. So do that which you are ordered”.
                   
“Qaalud’u' lana rabbaka yubaiyin lana maa laow’nuha, qaala innahu yaqoolu, innaha
baqartun safaraa’ullaownuha tasarrun naazireen”. [69].
69. They said, “Ask your Nourisher for us, to make clear to us its colour”. He (Moosa AS) said,
“He (Allaah) says, it is a cow of yellow colour, bright in its colour, pleasing to the spectators”.
                 
“.Qaalud’u' lana rabbaka yubaiyun lana maa hiya, innal’baqara tashaabaha alaina, wa
insha’allaahu lamuh’tadoon”. [70].
70.They said, “Ask your Nourisher for us, to make clear to us, what it should be, surely the cows
are similar to us, By Allaah’s willingness, (we) shall be guided ones”.
                      

     


“Qaala innahu yaqoolu innaha baqaratun laa zalulun tuseerul’arza wa laa tasqil’harsa
musallimata feeha, qaaloo al’aana ji’taa bil’haqqi, fa’zabahooha wa maa kaadu yaf’aloon”.
[71].
71.He said, (Moosa AS), “He (Allaah) says, it should be a cow, unmanageable to till the land, nor
waters for cultivation, complete without any blame to it”. They said, “Now you came with the truth”.
So they sacrificed it, though, they were not to do so.
Quoting Ibn Jareer, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Had they
sacrificed any cow, after the receipt of the orders of Allaah, it would have sufficed, but they tried to
dodge it, so the order was hardened successively”.
In this connection that one should not resort to unnecessary detailed explanations, Al-Qurtubi has
recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) as recorded by Muslim, that he has warned a woman not
to explain in detail the features of another woman to her husband in such a way as if he is looking at
her.
             

“Wa izqataltum nafsan, fadda’ratum feeha, wallaahu muqrijun maa kuntum


taktumoon”.[72].
72. “And when you killed a person, thereafter kept yourselves off from it (the crime), and Allaah
(was) the exposer to which you were hiding”.
             
“Faqul nazrioohu biba’ziha. Kazaalika yuh’hi’allaahu’l’maowta wa yureekum aa’yaatihee
la’allakum ta’qiloon”, [73]
73. So We said, “Beat him (the dead) with some of it, (sacrificed cow), like that Allaah bring the
dead to life, and you are shown His signs, so that you may understand”.
Quoting Abu Razeen'aqeeli, Abu Dawood and Tayalisi have recorded that Abu Razeen' aqeeli
asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) as to how Allaah Ta’ala alive the dead ones. Rasoolullaah (SAS) asked
him as, whether he saw a barren land, he replied in positive, then he asked him as to whether he saw
it green and fertile, he replied in positive also, then Rasoolullaah (SAS) said “Like that Allaah Ta’ala
alive the dead ones”.
                    

                    
“Summa qasat quloobakum mim’ba’di zaalika fa’hiya kal’hijaarati aow ashaddu qaswatan
lama yatafajjaru minhul’anhaaru, wa inna minha lama yashaqqaqu fa’yaqruju
minhul’maa’u. wa inna minha lama yah’bitu min qash’yatil’laahi, wa mallaahu bigaafilin
amma ta’maloon”. [74]
74. “Then your hearts hardened after that and became like rocks or much more in hardness and
indeed streams gush out, and indeed it breaks water comes out from it, and indeed from which fall
down because of fear of Allaah, and Allaah is not unaware of that which you do”.
Quoting Abdullah Ibn Umar, it is recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has warned against too much
talking, without remembering Allaah Ta’ala and said, “Too much talk hardens the heart and
hardened hearted ones are far away from Allaah Ta’ala”.
Quoting Anas, Al-Bazar has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Four qualities lead to
wretchedness, non flow of tears in fear of Allaah, hard heartedness, increase in desires, greed for
worldly things”.
                    

  
“A’fa’tatma’uoona an yuminoo lakum wa qad kaana fareequn minhum yasma’uoona
kalaa’mallaahi, summa yuharrifoonahu min ba’di maa aqaloohu wa hum ya’lamoon”.[75].
75. “Then do you desire, (men of Faith) that they should believe for your sake, whereas a group
from them hear the words of Allaah, than they change it after, they understood it and they know it”.
                 

       


“ Wa izaa laqullazeena aamanoo qaaloo aamannaa, wa izaa qala ba’zuhum ilaa ba’zin
qaaloo a’tuhaddisunahum bima fatahallaahu alaikum liyuhaajjukum bihi inda rabbikum,
a’falaa ta’qiloon”. [76].
76. And when they meet with those who believed, they said, “We believed”, And when they meet
each other separately, they said, “Do you reveal to them (the believers) that which Allaah has

revealed to you, [in Taowrat about Rasoolullaah [SAS] ] so that they [muslims] may argue with you
from it [which is in Taowrat] before your Nourisher, why do you not understand?”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS),had ordered that the believers alone should
come to him, when he was at Al-Madina, so the disbelievers said that they were believers but when
they separate they were as usual.
         
“A’wala ya’lamoona annallaaha ya’lamu maa yusirroona wa maa yu’linoon”. [77].
77. Do they not know that Allaah knows that which they conceal and which they proclaim?.
           
“Minhum ummiyoona laa ya’lamoonal’kitaaba illa amaaneyya wa in hum illa
yazun'noon".
78.And there are illiterate among them who do not know the Book, (Scripture) except desires,
they are only assumers.
                   

      


“Fa wailul'lillazeea yaktumoonal’kitaaba bi’aiydeehim, summa yaqooloona haaza min
indillaahi liyashtaroo samanan qaleelan, fa waiylun lahum mimmaa katabat aiydeehim wa
waiylullahum mimmaa yaksiboon”. [79].
79. Misfortune to those who write the Book with their hands, then they say, “This is from
Allaah” to purchase little sum from it, misfortune to those with which their hands wrote, misfortune
to those with which they earn.
Quoting Osman'Ibn'Affan (Rz) the explanation of Rasoolullaah (SAS) for the word, "‫ "وﯾﻞ‬is
recorded as, “It is mountain of fire”.
                      

   


“Wa qaaloo, lan’tamassanan’naaru illa ayyamim’ma'doodatan. qul, a’attaqaz’tum
indallaahi ahdan, falan yuqlifallaahu ahdahu, am taqooloona alallaahi maa laa ta’lamoon”.
[80].
80. They said, “The Fire shall not touch us, except a number of days (limited). Say, “Have you
taken a promise from Allaah, as Allaah never break His promise?, it is, that you say concerning
Allaah, which you do not know”.
Quoting Musnad Ahmad, Al-Bukhari and Nisa'e, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that on the day when
Khaiber was conquered, poisoned fried meat was presented before Rasoolullaah (SAS), by the Jews,
he called them and asked the names of their fathers. They told the names, Rasoolullaah (SAS) told
them they lied in their replies, and told the names of their fathers, which they accepted. Then
Rasoolullaah (SAS) asked them to tell the truth. They agreed and said they will not succeed if they
lie, as they had examined him. Then Rasoolullaah (SAS) asked them, “Who are the dwellers of he
Hell?”, They replied, “We will dwell there for a few days afterwards your followers ”.Rasoolullaah
(SAS) refuted them and asked, “Is the fried meat poisoned They replied. “Yes”, when asked about the
reason they replied, “If you are true you will recognize it, if not we will get rid of you”.
              
“Balaa man kasaba sayyi’atan wa ahaatat’bihi qatee'a'tuhu fa’ulaika ashaabunnari hum
feeha qaalidoon”. [81].

81. Why not/yes, One who earned evil and his wrong doing surrounded him, so they are the
companions of Fire, therein they will live for ever.
Quoting Musnad Ahmad, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
has cautioned against belitting the sins as its accumulation will cause the destruction of human-
being, and explained with an example that if every one bring a stick, it will raise to a huge heap,
which is enough to burn a biggest thing.
           
“ Wallazeena aamanoo wa a’milus’saalihaati ulaika ashaabul jannati hum feeha
qaalidoon”. [82].
82. And those who believed and worked righteously, they are the companions of Heaven, they
will lie therein for ever.
               

              
“Wa iz’aqazna meesaaqa bani’israela laa ta’budoona illallaaha, wa bil’waalidaini
ih’saanan wa zil’qurba wal’yataama wal’masaakeeni wa qooloo linnaasi husnan wa
aqeemus’salaata wa aatuzzakaata, sum tawllaitum illa qaleelan minkum wa antum
mu’rizoon”[83].
83. And when we took the promise from the children of Israel, to worship none but Allaah and be
good to parents and relatives and orphans and poor needy and speak to the people with kindness, be
steadfast in prayers and pay “Zakaat” (to the entitled ones), then you turned back except few from
you, and you are the back-turners.
Quoting Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), that
he asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) about the action, which is most excellent. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied,
“to pray at the prescribed time”, he asked about the next, Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “to treat the
parents with kindness”, he asked about the next, Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “to struggle for the
cause of Allaah”.
Ibn Kaseer has also recorded the reply of Rasoolullaah (SAS), when he was asked by a person as
to whom he should treat well, Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “with your mother”, twice He (SAS)
replied for his mother and the third time He (SAS) named “ to his father”, afterwards the relatives
according to the nearness.
Quoting “Musnad Ahmad” Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) about the
good deeds, “One should not belittle any good deed however small it may be, if not, greet your
brother with a smiling face”.
                
“Wa iz aqaznaa meesaaqakum laa tasfikoona dimaa’akum wa laa tuqrijoona anfusakum
min diyaarikum summa aqrartum wa antum tash’hadoon”. [84].
84. And when we took your promise, “not to shed your blood, your related ones should not be
thrown out from your dwellings, then you resolved it, and you were witnessing it”.
               

“Summa antum haa’ulaai taqtuloona anfusakum wa tuqrijoona fareeqan minkum min


diyaarihim, tazaaharoon alaihim bilismi wal’udwaani wa in yaatukum usaaraa tufaadoohum
wa huwa muharrmun alaikum iqraajuhum. a'fa’tu’minoon bibazil’kitaabi wa takfuroon
bibazin, famaa jazaa’u man yaf'aloo zaalika minkum illa qizyun fil hayaatid’dunya wa
yaowmal' qiyaamati yuraddoon ilaa shaddil' azaabi wa mallaahu bigaafilin ammaa
ta’maloon”. [85].
85. And you are those who kill amongst yourselves and a group from amongst you, being
removed from their dwellings, support other upon them with sin and aggression, and if they come to
you as captives, you ransom them, and it is forbidden to you, to displace them. Do you believe a part
of the Book (Scripture) and reject some of it?, so what would be the reward for those of you who do
like that, except disgrace in the worldly life and on the Day of judgment, they will be consigned to
most grievous punishment and Allaah is not unaware of what you do.
              
“Ulaikal’lazeenash’tarool’hayataddunya bil aaqirati, falaa yuqaffafu anhumul’azaabu wa
laa hum yunsiroon”.
86. Those are the people who buy the worldly life for that of Hereafter. So their punishment shall
not be reduced, and they will not be helped.
                 

             
“Wa laqad aataina Moosal’kitaaba wa qaffaina min ba’dihi bir’rusuli wa aataina Easabna
Maryamal’baiinaati wa ayyadnaahu bi Roohul Qudusi’ afa kullamaa jaa’akum rasoolun
bimaa laa tahwaa anfusakumus'takbartum, fafreeqan kazzabtum wa fareeqan taqtuloon”.
[87].
87. Surely We gave Moosa (AS) the Book (Scriptures), after that We sent successively
messengers, and We gave Easa, son of Maryam, clear proofs (of Allaah’s sovereignty) and
supported him with the Holy Spirit, it is ever so, that whenever there came a messenger (from
Allaah) with that with which yourselves did not desired, you were arrogant, thus you denied to some
and to some you kill.
In respect of "‫"روح اﻟﻘﺪس‬the Holy Spirit, it has been recorded that the Jews asked Rasoolullaah
(SAS) about the Holy Spirit, He (SAS) vowed in the name of Allaah and replied, “Don’t you know
that the Holy Spirit is Jibrael (AS).
           
“Wa qaalu quloobuna gul’fun, bal la’a'nahumullaahu bi kufrihim fa’qaleelan maa
yuminoon”. [88].
88. They said, “Our hearts are covered” (no more is needed), but Allaah has cursed them for their
disbelief, thus very little is that which they believe.
                 

          
“Walamma jaahum kitabun min indillaahi musaddiqullima ma'a'hum wa kaanu min qablu
yastaftihoona alallazeena kafaroo falamma jaa'a'hum maa'arafoo kafaroo bihi falana tullaahi
alal kaafireen.”. [89].
89. And when a Book came to them from Allaah, confirming that which is with them, and before
that they were desiring victory on the infidels, so when it came to them which they recognized, (but)
they rejected it, thus curse of Allaah is upon the infidels.

“ Bi’sa ma ishtarow bihi anfusahim an yakfuru bimaa anzalallaahu bagyan an
yunazzilallaahu min fazlihi ala maiy'yashaa'u min ibaadihi fabaa’u bigazabin alaa gazab, wa
lil kaafireen azaabun muheen”. [90].
90. Evil is that for which they sell their souls, so as to reject that which Allaah has revealed, with
their unjust desire, as is being sent down with His grace upon whom Allaah desire from His servants.
So they settled down with anger upon anger, and shameful punishment is for the infidels.
Here the rejection is because of their pride, so Rasoolullaah (SAS) has informed that those who
live with pride, rejecting the truth, will be put into the prison of Hell, where they will be trampled by
all things like ants etc. the fire will be most severe, and blood and pus for drink.
                  

            
“Wa izaa qeela lahum aaminoo bimaa anzallaahu qaaloo , nu’minoo bimaa un’zila alaina
wa yakfuroona bima waraa’a'hu wa huwal’haqqu musaddiqan lima ma’a'hum, qul fa'lima
taqtuloona anbiyaa’allaahi min qablu in kuntum mu’mineen”. [91].
91. And when it is said to them, “Believe in that which is sent down by Allaah, They said, “We
believe in that which was sent down to us,”, and they were rejecting that which came after it, which
is the truth, confirming that which is with them. Ask them, “Why were they killing the prophets of
Allaah Before, if you were the believers?’.
              
“Walaqad jaa’a’kum Moosa bil’baiy’yinaati summat’taqaztumul’ijla min ba’dihi wa
antum zaalimoon”.[92].
92. “And surely Moosa (AS) came to you with clear proofs, then you held the calf (for worship),
when he (Moosa AS) was away, and you were the wrong-doers”.
               

             
“Wa iz aqaznaa meesaqakum warafa’naa fowqakumut’toora, quzoo maa aataiy'naakum
biquw'watin was’ma’uu, qaaloo sami’naa wa asaiy’naa wa ush'riboo fi quloobihimul’ijla
bikufrihim, qul bi’sa’maa yaa'murukum in kuntum mu’mineena”. [93].
93. And when we took a promise from you, and We raised the (mount) “Toor” upon you, (We
ordered) “Hold fast which We have given to you, and hear (act upon). They said, “We heard and we
disobeyed”. (the worship of) the calf was made to drink in their hearts, because of their rejection.
Say, (O’ Muhammad SAS), “Evil is that which your belief orders you for that, if you are the
believers”.
                  
“Qul in kaanat lakumud'daarul’aaqiratu indal’llaahi qaalisatan min doonin'naasi,
fatamma'ul’maowta in kuntum saadiqeen”, [94].
94. Say (O’ Muhammad, SAS), “If the home of Hereafter with Allaah is for you alone excluding
other people, then desire for the death, if you are true”.
           

“Wa lan yatamannaow'hu abadan bimaa’qaddamat ayedeehim, wal’llaahu aleemun


bizzaalimeen”. [95].
95. And they will never desire it (the death), because of that which their own hands have sent
before, and Allaah knows the evil-doers.
                 

          
“Wala’taji’dannhum ah’rasan’naasi alaa hayaatin, wa minal’lazeena ashraku, yawaddu
ahaduhum laow yu’ammaru alfa sanatin, wa maa huwa bimu’zahzihihi minal’azaabi an
yuammara wal’laahu baseerun bimaa ya’maloon”. [96].
96. “And surely you will find them most greedy people for life and those of the polytheists, each
one of them is desirous of being given the age of thousand years, and he will not be taken away from
the punishment, even though, he be given a prolonged age, and Allaah is well observer of that which
they do”.
                 

 
“Qul man kaana a’du’un lijibreal fa’innhu nazzalahu alaa qalbika bi’iznillaahi
musaddiqal’limaa baina yadai’hi wa hudan wa bushraa lilmu’mineen”. [97].
97. Say, “One who is enemy to Jibrael,(AS) as he brings down the revelations upon your heart,
by the will of Allaah, confirmative to that which is with him, a guidance and a good news to the
believers”.
For enemity to Jibrael, (AS) quoting Ibn Abbas, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that a group of Jews
approached Rasoolullaah (SAS) and asked him to answer their questions, if he was the messenger of
Allaah. Rasoolullaah (SAS) accepted their challenge and took promise from them that if he
answered correctly, they should accept him to be the messenger of Allaah, and follow him.
At first they asked him, “Before the revelations of Towrat on Yakoob (AS), what was that he
prohibited himself on his self”? Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “When he suffered with the disease”
"‫"ﻋﺮق اﻟﻨﺴﺎء‬Sciatica, he took a vow to renounce his favourate food and drink, i.e. meat and milk of
camel. By the will of Allaah, he got cured from the disease, and left the consumption of the above
two things. They confirmed his reply to be correct.
Like wise they asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) finally, “who brings the revelations to the prophets as
indicated in Towrat. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “Jibrael (AS) brings revelations on him and
brought the revelations to other prophets before him”. They confirmed his reply to be correct, but
refused to follow him, as Jibrael (AS) is enemy to them, who brought destructions and sufferings on
them.
             
“ Man kaana adu’wan’lillaahi wa malai’katihi wa rusulihi wa jibreala wa meekala, fa’
innallaaha adu’un lil’kaafireen”. [98]..
98. “Whoever is an enemy to Allaah and His angels and His messengers and Jibrael, and
Meekaala, then surely Allaah is enemy to those who reject Faith”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein Allaah Ta’ala has declared
war against those who have enemity with His holy men. In another saying it is recorded that Allaah
Ta’ala takes revenge for the misdeeds to His holy men and that he will be destroyed if Allaah Ta’ala
becomes enemy to him.
Quoting Aayesha (Rz), Al-Qurtubi has recorded that while seeking Allaah Ta’aa'la’s protection
from the fire of the hell and the punishment in the grave, Rasoolullaah (SAS) had addressed Allaah
Ta’ala as the “Lord” of Jibrael, Meekaala, and Israfeel.

“Wa laqad anzalnaa ilaika aayaatin baiy’yi’naatin, wa maa yakfuru bihaa illalfaasiqoon”. [99].
99. “And surely We have sent down to you clear signs, and no one will reject them except the
immorals”.
             
“ A’wa kullama aahadoo ahdan nabazahu fareequm’minhum, bal'aksaruhum laa yuminoon”. [100].
100. “If at all they took a promise, a group from them discarded it, rather most of them do not
believe, (in the promise).
                  

       


“Wa lammaa jaa’a’hum rasoolun min indillaahi musaddiqun lima ma’a'hum nabaza
fareequn minallazeena uutul kitaaba. Kitaabal’laahi waraa’a zuhoorihim ka’annahum laa
ya’lamoon” [101].

101. “And when a messenger from Allaah came to them, confirming that which is with them,
(previous revelations) a group from them, who were given the Book, kept the Book of Allaah behind
their backs, as if they do not know”.
                 

                    

“Wat taba’uu maa tat'lush shayaateenu alaa mulki Sulaimana wa maa kafara Sulaimaanu
wa laa kinna’sh’shayaateena kafaroo yu’allimoonan 'naasas’sihra wa maa unzila
alal’malakaini bibaabeela Haaroota wa Maaroota, wa maa yu’alli’maani min ahadin hatta
yaqoolaa, innmaa nahnu fitnatun fa laa takfur, fa’yata’alla’moon minhuma maa yufarriqoona
bihi bainal mar’e wa zowjihi, wa maa hum bi’zaarreena bihi min ahadin illaa bi’iznil’laahi, wa
yata’allamoona maa yazrruhum wa laa yanfa’u’hum wa laqad alimoo'lamanish’taraahu maa
lahu fil’aaqirati min qalaaqin, wa la’bi’sa maa sharoo bihi anfusahum laow kaanu
ya’lamoon”. [102].
102. “And they followed that which the evil ones were spreading during the reign of
Sulaiman,(AS) Sulaiman(AS) did not committed infidelity, but the evil ones did committed
infidelity. They were teaching magic to the people and that which was sent down on the two angles
in Babil, (Babylon). Haroota and Maroota, and they were not teaching unless, the two said “we are
certainly a test”, so do not be infidel. Thus they were learning from the two, that which cause
separation between man and his wife, and they were not causing harm to any one with it, except with
the will of Allaah, and were learning that which harm them and do not benefit them. And certainly
they knew that one who buy it, he will not have any thing from the creation (of Allaah) in the life to
come (Hereafter.) Evil is that they said sold it for their self”.
Quoting Ibn Abi'Hatim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that in an occasion Ali Ibn Abitalib(Rz) had to
cross the land of Babil. Even it was the time for the prayer of “Asr”, he did not prayed there and

crossed over and prayed and said, “Rasoolullaah (SAS) has directed me not to pray in the grave yard
and the land of Babil, as it is a cursed land”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded an accepted saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) that one who approached a
sorcerer, he became an infidel.
               
“Wa laow annahum aamanoo wat’taqaow la'masoobatun min indillaahi khairun laow
kaanu ya’lamoon”. [103].
103. “And if they had Faith and feared Allaah, they would have better reward from Allaah, if
they were knowing”.
                
“Yaa’aiyyuhal’lazeena aamanoo laa taqooloo ra’i’na wa qooloon’ zurnaa was’mauu wa
lil’kaafireena azaabun aleem”. [104].
104. “O’ Those who accepted Faith, Don’t say “Ra'e'naa” but say “”Un'Zurna”
(meaning thereby look at us, and for ” a meaning can be derived as “we joke with”), and
listen, (to the revelations and obey), and for the infidels is a grievous punishment.
The herdsman is called “‫”راﻋﻰ‬, in this respect Muslim has recorded that An'Nu’man Ibn Basheer
has said that he listened Rasoolullaah (SAS) explaining, “The permissible ones are clear and the
prohibited ones are also clear, but in between are the doubtful ones. So one who saved from the
doubtful things, he is as if asked to be absolved in his religious affairs and honour, and one who
indulged himself in the doubtful things, it is as if indulged in the prohibited ones, as a herdsman who
graze his herd around the prohibited land, there is every possibility that his herd will graze in the
prohibited land.
                  

        


“Maa yawaddul’lazeena kafaroo min ah’lil’kitaabi wa lal’mushrikeena in yu’nazzila
alaikum min khairin’min’rabbikum, wallaahu yaq’tassu bi’rahmatihi man’yashaa’u,
wallaahu zul’fazlil’azeem”.[105].
105. Those infidels of the possessors of the Book and of the polytheists do not desire that any
thing good should be sent down upon you from your Nourisher and Allaah chooses with His Mercy,
who ever He may like”, and Allaah is the possessor of abundant kindness”.
                      
“Maa nan’sakh min aayatin aow nun’siha na’tin bi’khairim’minhaa aow misliha, a’lam
ta’lam annallaaha alaa kulli shai’in qadeer”. [106].
106. “We do not abrogate anything of our revelation, or cause to be forgotten, We bring one
better than it or similar to it, Don’t you know that Allaah is powerful on all things”.
“A’lam                      
ta’lam annal’laaha lahu mulkus’samaawaati wal’arzi wa maa lakum min doonil’laahi min
wali’in wa laa naseer”. [107].
107. “Don’t you know that Allaah to whom belong the supreme power of the skies and the earth.
Without Allaah there is no friend or helper to you”.

“Am tureedoona an tas’aloo rasoolakum kama su’ila Moosa min qablu wa
man’yata'baddalil’kufra bil’eemaani, faqad zalla sawaa’as’sabeel”. [108].
108. “Do you like to question your messenger, as Moosa(AS) was questioned before. One who
changes to infidelity from the Faith, surely he strayed away from the right path".
Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) restrained his companions from indulging
themselves in gossiping, wasteful expenditure and asking too many questions.
Quoting Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) had instructed his
companions, “Do not ask any thing unless I tell you, previous people were punished on account of
their too much asking to their messengers, and comply that which is asked according to your
capacity”.
                    

                
“Wadda kaseerum’min ahlil’kitaab laow’yaruddu’nakum min ba’di eemanikum kuffaran
hasadan min indi anfusihim min’ba’di maa tabaiyyana lahumul’haqqu, fa’fuu was’fahu hatta
yaati'yal’laahu bi’amrihi, innallaaha alaa kulli shai’in qadeer”. [109].
109. “Many people from the holders of the scriptures desire that you may return to infidelity after
your belief, because of their self envy after the truth having become clear to them. So forgive and
pardon, till Allaah send His command, surely Allaah is powerful on all things”.
                   
“ Wa aqeemus’salaata wa aa’tuz’zakaata we maa tuqaddimoo li’anfusikum min khairin
tajidoohu indal’laahi, innal’laaha bimaa ta’maloona baseer”. [110].

110. “Establish prayer and pay Zakaat, (Islaamic tax) and what ever you send good deeds for your self,
you will find them with Allaah, surely Allaah clearly see that which you do”.
Quoting Abdullah, Al-Bukhari has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) that once
Rasoolullaah (SAS) asked his companions as to the one who amongst them loves the wealth of his
successors, than that of his own wealth. They replied that no one from them love the wealth of their
successors. Then Rasoolullaah (SAS) explained, “One who spends his wealth in charity, is his
wealth, and the wealth of his successors, is that which he left behind”.
                  

  
“Wa qaaloo lan’yad’khulal'jannata illa man kaana hoodan aow nasaara, tilka amaaneeu’
hum, qul haatoo burhaanakum in’kuntum saadiqeen’. [111].
111.They said, “None will enter the paradise unless he to be a Jew or a Christian. Those are their
own desires, “say, “Bring the prof if you are truthful”.
                   
“Balaa man aslama wajhuhu lillaahi wa huwa muhsinun falahu ajrahu inda’rabbihi, wa
laa khowfun alaihim wa laa hum yah’zanoon”. [112].
112. “Why not, one who submitted himself to Allaah and he is a benevolent for Him, his reward
is with his Nourisher, No fear for them and they will not grieve”.

“Wa qaalatil yahoodu laisatin’nasaaraa alaa shai’in, wa qaalatin’nasaaraa laisatil’yahoodu
alaa shai’in. wa hum yatloonal’kitaaba, kazaalika qaalal’lazeena laa ya’lamoona misla
qowlihim, fallaahu yahkumu bainahum yaomal qiyaamati feemaa kaanu feehi yaq’talfoon”,
113. The Jews said, “The Christian do not (follow) any thing (truth), and the Christian said, “The
Jews do not (follow) any thing (truth), and they read the Book, likewise those who do not know said
similar to their saying, So Allaah will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection, in which
they were differing”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded that when a delegation on Christians from Najran visited Rasoolullaah
(SAS), the scholars of Jews also came there, and both were accusing each of her as the strayer,
whereas the sanctity of Taowrat is available in the Injeel (Bible) and in Injeel the sanctity of Towrat
is available”.
                     

           
“Wa man azlama mimman mana’a masaajida lillaahi an’yazkura feehas’muhu wa sa’aa fee
kharaabiha, uulaika maa kaan lahum an’yad’khuloohaa illaa khaa’i’feen, lahum fid’dunya
khiz’yun wa lahum fil’aakhirati azaabun azeemu”. [114].
114. “And who did more unjust than the one who prevented mosques of Allaah for the utterance
of Allaah’s name in it and tried to destroy it. Those are, it is not for them to enter in it except, fearful
for them disgrace in this world and in Hereafter great punishment”.
               
“Wa lillaahil’masriqu wal’magh’ribu fa’aiy’namaa tu’walloo fa’samma wajhul’laahi,
innal’laaha waasiun aleem”. [115].
115. “And to Allaah belong the east and the west, so whichever direction you turn, there is the
presence of Allaah. Surely Allaah is omnipresent, all knowing”.
Quoting Ibn Umar it is recorded that while in journey, he used to pray facing the direction of his
camel, and used to say that Rasoolullaah (SAS) used to pray the same way”.
                 
“Wa qaalut’takhazal’laahu walada, subhaanahu, bal’lahu maa fis’samaawaati wal’arzi,
kullun lahoo qaanitoon”. [116].
116. They said, “Allaah has taken a son for himself, “All glory is to Him, whereas all that which
is available in the Heavens and the earth belongs to Him. All are obedient to Him.
Quoting Al-Bukhari, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has informed that Allaah
says, “Adam’s son rejects Me, it is not proper for him, he abuses Me, it is not proper for him”. For
rejection it is explained that human beings reject the idea of his recreation by Allaah and for abuses
it is explained human beings adopt a son for Allaah, whereas all glory belongs to Him.
Quoting Muslim and Al Bukhari, the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) is recorded wherein
Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said, “No one can surpass Allaah Ta’ala in patience, as people attach Him a
son, even then He provides food and protection the them”.
             
“Badee’us’samaawaati wal’arzi, wa izaa qazaa amran, fa’innamaa yaqoolu lahu kun
fayakoon”. [117].
117. ‘The originator of the Heavens and the Earth, and when He decides a matter, He says to it,
“Become”, so it becomes”.

AL-Qurtubi and Ibn Kaseer have recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has
warned, “Creating new things (in Islaam is evil and deviation from the right path”.
                    

       


“Wa qaalal’lazeena laa ya’lamoona laow laa yukalli’munal’laahu aow ta’teenaa aayatan.
kazaalika qaalal’lazeena min qablihim misla qaowlihim, tasha’bahat quloobuhum, qad
bai’yannal’aayaati liqaowmi yuu’qinoon”. [118].
118. Those who have no knowledge said, “Why Allaah should not speak to us, or a sign come to
us”. Those who were before them said similar to their utterance, Their hearts resembled each other.
Certainly we have revealed the signs for the people who are convinced”.
            
“Innaa arsal ‘naaka bil’haqqi basheeran wa nazeeran, wa laa tus’alu an ashaabil’jaheem”.
[119].
119. “Surely We have sent you (Mohammed SAS) with the truth and conveyer of good news and
a Warner, and you will not be asked about the companions of the Hell Fire”.
                     

              
“Wa Lan tar’zaa ankal’yahoodu wa lan’nasaara hatta tat’tabi’a millatahum, qul inna
hudal’laahi hual’huda, wa lainit’taba’ta ah’waa’a hum ba’dal’lazi jaa’aka minal’ilmi maalaka
minal’laahi min walee’in wa laa naseer”. [120].
120. “And the Jews will never be pleased with you nor the Christians till you follow their
religion. Say, (O’ Muhammad SAS) “Surely the guidance of Allaah is the guidance, and if you
follow their desires, after that which has come with the knowledge, you will not have from Allaah a
friend nor a helper”.
                
“Allazeena aatai’naahumul’kitaaba yatloonahu haqqa tilaawatihi, uulaika yu'minoona bihi
wa man yakfuru bihi fa’uulaika humul’ khaasiroon”. [121].
121. “Those to whom We have given the Book, they read it as it should have to be read. Those
are (the ones who) believe in it, and those who disbelieve with it, so they are the loosers”.
For reading Rasoolullaah (SAS) has explained that it should be followed in its true sense.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has said that in his
religion, there will always be a sect which will be on truth and fight vigorously others and will be
victorious.
Ibn Kaseer has also recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has vowed by saying,
“In the name of one who commands my life, that who so ever heard me, be a Jew or a Christian and
did not believe in me, will go to Hell”.
           
“Yaa bani’israela uzkuru ni’mati allati an’amtu alaikum wa anni fazzal’tukum
alal’aalameen”. [122].
122. “O’ Children of Israel, remember my favour which I have bestowed upon you and preferred
you on worlds”.
                  

“Wat’taqoo yowmal’laa taj’zee nafsun an nafsin shai’a wa laa yuqbalu minhaa adlun wa
laa tanfa’uha shafaa’a’tun wa laa hum yunsa’roon”. [123].
123. “And guard yourselves against a Day, (when) no soul recompense another soul in any thing
and no compensation will be accepted from it and recommendation will not benefit it and they will
not be helped”.
                    

   


“Wa izibtala Ibraheema rabbuhu bikali’maatin fa’a'tamma’hunna. Qaala innee jaa’i’luka
linnaasi imaaman, qaala wa min zurriyatee, qaala laa yanaalu ah’dizzaalimeen”, [124].
124. “And when his Nourisher tried Ibraaheem with His commands, which he fulfilled, (Allaah)
said, “Surely I am making you the Imam (leader) for the people”. (Ibraaheem, AS) said, “and for my
descendants”. (Allaah) said, “My promise will not accomplish the evil doers”.
Quoting Aa’yesha (Rz) Muslim has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein
Rasoolullaah (SAS) has mentioned ten principles which are natural and according to the principles
of Islaam, i.e. to have circumcision, to reduce moustache, to trim the beard, to use tooth cleaner, to
clean the nose with water, to cut the nails, to clean the space between the joints, to remove the hairs
at armpits and below the stomach, the narrator said that he forgot the tenth one and said that it may
be to gargle while washing the mouth.
                  

      


“Wa iz ja’alnal’baita massbatan linnasi wa amnan, wattakhizoo mim’muqaami
Ibraaheema musalla, wa ahidnaa ilaa Ibraaheema wa Ismaaela an tahhira baitiya’lit’taaifeena
wal’aakifeena war’rukk’is’sujoodi”. [125].
125. “And when we made the House (Ka'a'baa) a meeting place for the people and (a place) of
safety and hold the place where Ibraaheem(AS) stood, a place for prayer and we impose a duty upon
Ibraaheem(AS) and Ismaa'eel(AS) to keep My House clean for circumambulators, devotees and
bowers prostrater (in prayers)”.
It is recorded that the stone upon which Ibraaheem (AS) stood and raised the walls of Ka'a'baa,
still kept at a corner of Ka'a'baa, and is called "Muqaam'e'Ibraaheem AS".
Referring Ibn Jareer, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that on circumambulation of the Ka'a'baa,
Rasoolullaah (SAS) had walked extending his breast and shoulders during the first three rounds and
walked with normal steps during the remaining four rounds, and after that prayed two prostrations
behind the place where the stone is kept.
And also that the foot prints of Ibraaheem (AS) were visible on the stone and wiped out due to
continued rubbing etc.
                    

             
“Wa iz qaala Ibraheemu rabbij’al haaza baladan aaminan war’zuq ahlahu
minas’samaraati man aamana minhum bil’laahi wal’yaowmil’ aakhirati, qaala wa man kafara
fa’u’matti’u’hu qaleelan, summaz’tarrahu ilaa azaabin’naari wa bi’sal’ maseer”. [126].
126. “And when Ibraaheem(AS) said, “O” My Nourisher, make this city of peace and provide its
people with fruits to those from them who believe in Allaah and the last Day,” (Allaah) said, “(to
him) who disbelieved, I will make him enjoy a little, then I will compel him towards a torment of
Fire and a evil destiny”.

Referring Al-Qurtubi and Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
that on the day when Mecca was conquered Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “From the creation of the earth
and the sky, this place is made respectable and glorified. So fighting and slaughtering are prohibited
for even on this day it was permitted for a little period and prohibited forever, even the thorns are not
to be cut, and animals should not be driven away for hunting, and any thing lying should not be
taken away except its recognized owner”. On the plea of Abdullaah Ibn Abbaas (Rz) Rasoolullaah
(SAS) permitted to cut the “Uzkhur” (a kind of grass).
                
“Wa iz yar’fa’u Ibraaheemul’qawaa’i’da minal’baiti wa Ismaaeelu, rabbana taqabbal
minna, innaka antas’samee’ul’aleem”. [127].
127. “And while raising the foundation of the House Ibraaheem(AS) and Ismaaeel(AS) (prayed),
“O’Our Nourisher, Accept from us (this service), surely you are the all hearer, the all knower”.
Quoting Aa’yesha (Rz) Muslim has recorded that she asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) about the House.
He replied, “While reconstructing the House her predecessors reduced its basement from that of
which Ibraaheem (AS) built. Had I not have the fear of the neo-muslims, I would have reconstructed
the House on the foundation of Ibraaheem (AS)”, when she asked about the raised door, he replied,
“It was because to allow into it whom they desired and refused entry to the others, whom they did
not liked”. Rasoolullaah (SAS) had also mentioned his desire to lower the door to the ground level
and have two doors, at east and the other at west, one for entry and the other for exit.
                  
“Rabbanaa waj’alnaa muslimaini laka wa min zurriyatina ummatan muslimatan laka wa arina
manaasikana wa tub alaina, innaka antat’ tawwaabur’ raheem”. [128].
128. “O’ Our Nourisher, make us Muslims (obeying) to you, and from our descendants a
community obeying to you, and show us our rituals of pilgrimage (Hajj) and forgive us. Surely You
are the most Forgiver, the most Merciful”.
               

 
“Rabbanaa wab’as feehim rasoolan’minhum yatloo alaihim aayaatika wa yu’allimuhumul’kitaaba
wal’hik’mata wa yu’zakkihim, innaka antal’zeezul’hakeem”. [129].
129. “O’ Our Nourisher, make them a messenger who shall recite on them your revelations and
teach them the Book and the wisdom, and purify them. Surely you are the Most, Mighty, the Most
Wise”.
Referring Khalid Ibn Ma’azan, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that one of the companions of
Rasoolullaah (SAS) asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) to inform about his self. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied
“yes”, and said, “I am the prayer of Ibraaheem (AS), Good Omen of Easa (AS) and the messenger”.
                    
“Wa man yargabu an’millati Ibraheema illa man safiha nafsahu, wa laqadi’s’tafainaahu fid’dunyal
wa innahu fil’aakhirati la'sminas’saaliheen”. [130].
130. “And who will shun the religion of Ibraaheem(AS) except the one who fools himself, surely,
We have selected him in this world and in the Hereafter, he is among the righteous ones”.
           
“Iz qaala lahu rabbuhu, aslim, qaala aslamtu li’rabbi’aalameen”. [131].

131. “when his Nourisher said to him, “Submit” (your self to Allaah), he said, “I have submitted

to the Nourisher of the worlds”.


                
“Wa wassa biha Ibraaheemu bi’baneehi wa yaaqoobu. yaa bunayya innal’laahas’tafa
lakumud’deena, falaa tamootunnaa illa wa antum muslimoon”. [132].
132. “And Ibraaheem (AS) advised his sons with it, and Yakoob, (AS) O’ my sons, surely Allaah
has chosen “the Religion" for you, so do not die, unless you are the Muslims [in the Faith of
Islaam]”.
                    

          


“Am kuntum shuha’daa’a iz hazara ya’qoobal’maowta, iz qaala libanee’hi , maa
ta’budoona min ba’dee, qaaloo, na’budu ilaahaka wa ilaaha aabaa’ika Ibraheema wa
Ismaaeela wa Is'haaqa ilaahan waahida, wa nah’nu lahu muslimoon”. [133].
133. “Were you the witness when death came to Yakoob,(AS) when (Yaqoob AS) asked his
sons, what will you worship after me? They said, “We will worship (after you) your Ilaah and the
Ilaah of your fore fathers, Ibraaheem(AS) and Ismaaeel(AS) and Is'haaq, (AS) the only Ilaah and to
Him we are Faithful”.
                 
“Tilka ummatun qad khalat lahaa maa kasabat wa lakum maa kasabtum wa laa tus’aloona
amma kaanu ya’maloon”. [134].
134. “That was the community which has passed away, To them which they earned and to you
which you earn, and you will not be asked about that which they were doing”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “On the Doomsday, whoever
prolonged in rendering his deeds, his ancestry cannot hasten it, (the prolongation)”.
                 
“Wa Qaaloo koonoo huudan aow nasaaraas tah’tadoo, qul bal millata Ibraaheema
haneefan, wa maa kaana minal’mushrikeen’. [135].
135. “They said, “Be a Jew or a Christian, you will be on the right path, ( O’ Muhammad SAS)
say, “But the religion of Ibraaheem, (AS) inclining to the right tendency. He was not from the
polytheists”.
                   

               
“Qooloo aamannaa bil;laahi wa maa unzila ilainaa wa maa unzila ilaa Ibraaheema wa
Ismaaeela wa Is'haaqa wa Yaaqooba wal’asbaati wa maa uutiya Moosa we Easa wa maa
uutiyan’nabeeyoona min’rabbihim, laa nufarriqu baina ahadin minhum wa nahnu lahu
muslimoon”. [136].
136. “Say, “We believe in Allaah and that which is sent down upon Ibraaheem(AS) and
Ismaaeel(AS) and Is'haaq(AS) and Yaqoob(AS) and the tribes and that which was given to
Moosa(AS) and Easa(AS) and that which was given to the prophets from their Nourisher and we do
not differentiate between any one from them and to Him we submit”.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Al-Bukhari has recorded that the Jews were reading “Taowrat” in Hebrew
language and were translating into Arabic to the muslims, upon that Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “Don’t
confirm (the sayings) of the people with revelations, nor deny them, but say we believe in Allaah
and that which is revealed by Him”.

“Fa in aamanu bi’misla maa aamantum bihi faqadih’ta'daow, wa in tawallaow, fa innamaa hum fi
shisqaaqin fasa’yakfeeka’humul’laahu, wa huwas’ samee’ ul’ aleem”. [137].

137. “Then if they believe like that which you believe with it, then they are rightly guided, and if
they turned away, they are, certainly in schism. So Allaah will suffice you against them, and He is
the All Hearer, the All Knower”.
             
“ Sib’gatAllaahi, wa man ah’sana minal’laahi sib’gatan, wa nahnu lahu aa’bidoon”. [138].
138. “(We take our) Colour (religion) of Allaah, and who is better than Allaah at colouring, and
we are His worshippers”.
                
“Qul a’tuhaaj’joonana fil’laahi wa huwa rabbunaa wa rabbukum, wa lana a’maaluna wa
lakum a’maalukum wa nahnu lahu muqh’li’soon’. [139].
139. “Say, “Do you dispute with us in respect of Allaah, and He is our cherisher and your
cherisher, and for us are our deeds and for you your deeds, and we are exclusively to Him”.
                

                   
“Am taqooloona inna Ibraaheema wa Ismaeela wa Is'haaqa wa Yaaqooba wal' asbaata
kaanoo hoodan aow nasaara, qul a’antum a’lamu amil’laahu, wa man azlama mim’man
katama shaadatan indahu minal’laahi, wa mal’laahu bi’gaafilin ammaa ta’maloon”. [140].

140. “Or, Do you say that Ibraaheem(AS) and Ismaaeel(AS) and Is'haaq(AS) and Yaqoob(AS)
and the tribes were Jews and Christians? Say, “Do you know most or Allaah? And who is most cruel
from the one who concealed the testimony from Allaah, which is with him, and Allaah is not
unaware of that which you do”.
                   
“Til’ka ummatun qad khalat lahaa maa kasabat wa lakum maa kasabtum, wa laa
tus’a’loona ammaa kaanoo ya’maloon”. [141.
141. “That was a community already passed, for them which they earned and to you which you
earned and you will not be asked about what they were doing”.

Surat-Ul-Baqara Sayaqool-Us-Sufa
                     

   


“Saya’qoolus’sufaa’u minan’naasi maa walla’hum an qiblati’him allati kaanoo alaiha, qul
lillaahil’mashriqu wal’mag’ribu yahdee man’yasha’u ilaa siraarin’ mustaqeem”. [142].
142. The fools among the people will say, “What has turned them from their Qibla, towards
which they were (before)”. Say, “The east and the west belong to Allaah He guides to whom He
desires, towards the straight path”.
                 

                      

            
“Wa kazaalika ja’alnaakum ummatan wasatal’litakoonoo shuhadaa’a alan’naasi wa
yakoonar’rasoolu alaikum shaheedan wa maa ja'alnal'qiblata allatee kunta alaiha illa
li'na'lama man yattabi'ur'rasoola mimman yan’qalibu ala aqi’baihi, wa in kaanat lakabeertan
illa ala’lazeena hadal’laahu,wa maa kaanal’laahu li’yuzee’a eemaanakum innal’laaha
bin’naasi la’ra’uoofur’raheemun”. [143].
143. “And like that We made you a middle community, so that you become witness on the people
and the messenger become witness upon you and We have not made “Qibla” towards which you
were except to know who follows the messenger from those who turns back on his heels, and it was
a great (test) except on those whom Allaah has guided, and Allaah will not waste your belief, and
Allaah is certainly full of pity on human beings, Most Merciful”.
Quoting Abu-Sayeed Al-Qudri, Al-Bukhari has recorded the explanation of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
that on the Day of Judgment, prophet Nooh (AS) will be called by Allaah Ta’ala and asked as to
whether or not he informed his people all revelations made upon him. He will say, “Yes, I have
conveyed all that which was revealed upon me to my people”. Then his people will be asked to
confirm his statement. All of them will deny it. Thus prophet Nooh (AS) will be asked to produce
witness. He will reply, “Yes, Mohammed (SAS) and his “Ummat” will testify my statement”. There
after the Ummat of Rasoolullaah (SAS) stand witness and say, “Yes, Nooh (AS) has conveyed to his
people all that which was revealed upon him”. Allaah Ta’ala will asked them, “How can you say
that”. They will repeat this Aayat 143, wherein they are made the Ummat to stand witness upon the
people.
Likewise the process will continue for all the prophets and their people.
With reference to “Allaah will not waste the belief of His believers”, Quoting Abdullah Ibn
Abbaas, Tirmizi, has recorded the explanation of Rasoolullaah (SAS) that after the change of Qibla,
the followers of Rasoolullaah (SAS) asked him about their prayers which they performed facing
“Bait'ul'Maqdis”. This Aayat is revealed, that their prayers will not be wasted.
With reference to Allaah’s Compassion and Mercy, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah
(SAS) saw an imprisoned woman, who lost her child and was mad in her search for her child. She
was holding and embracing many Children thinking them to be hers. Finally she found her child and
was over joyed, exceeded in her embracement to her child. Showing that Rasoolullaah (SAS) asked
his companions, as to whether the woman will through her child in fire. All replied in negative. Then
Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “Allaah is much more compassionate and merciful on His servants than
that woman”.

"Qad naraa taqalluba wajjhika fis’samaai falanu’walli’yannaka qiblatan tar’zaahaa
fawalli wajhaka shataral’masjidil’haraami, wa haisu maa kuntum fawalloo wujoohakum
shatarahu, wa innal’lazeena uootul’kitaaba la’ya’ lamoona annahul’haqqu mir’rabbihim, wa
mal’laahu bi’gaafilin amma ya’maloon”. [144]. 144. “Certainly, we have seen your face turning
towards the sky therefore we definitely turn you towards the Qibla, with which you are desirous. So
turn your face towards the
sacred Mosque, and wherever you are, turn your faces towards its direction. And those who are
given the book, certainly know that this is the truth from their Nourisher, and Allaah is not unaware
of what they do”.
Quoting Abdullah Ibn Abbaas, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the explanation of Rasoolullaah (SAS),
“For my Ummat ‘Ka'a’baa’ is the Qibla for those who are in the Sacred mosque of Mecca, and the
Sacred Mosque is the Qibla for those who are in Mecca, and Mecca is the Qibla for those who are in
any direction of the earth”.
                     

               
“Wa la in ataital’lazeena uootul’kitaaba bikull aayatin maa tabi’uu qiblataka, wa maa anta
bi’taabi’in qiblata ba’zin, wa la’init’taba’ta ah ‘waa’a’ hum min ba’din maa jaa’a’ka
minal’ilmi innaka izan’lamaniz’ zaalemeen”. [145].
145. “And even if you come to those who are given the Book, with all the signs, they do not
follow your Qibla, and you are not the follower of their Qibla, and some of them are not the
followers of the Qibla of others. And if you follow their desires after that which has come to you
from the knowledge, then surely you are from the unjust”.
                 
“Allazeena aataina’humulkitaaba ya’rifoonaahu kama ya’rifoona abnaa’a’hum wa inna
fareeqan’minhum la’yak’tumoonal’haqqa wa hum ya’lamoon”. [146].
146. “ Those, to whom We have given the Book, recognize him (Rasoolullaah (SAS) as they
recognize their sons, and certainly a group from them conceal the truth and they know it”.
        
“ Al’haqqu min rabbika falaa takoo’nana minal’mum’tareen”. [147].
147. “The truth is from your Nourisher, so never become from those who doubt”.
                    

  


“Wa likulli wij’hatun hua muwalleeha fas’tabiqul’khairaati aina maa takoonoo yaati
bikumul’laahu jamee’an, innal’laaha alaa kulli shai’in qadeer”. [148].
148. “And for every one there is a direction, he turns towards it, so compete in good deeds.
Wherever you may be, Allaah will bring you all together. Certainly Allaah is powerful on all
things”.
                   
“ Wa min haisu qarajta fawalli waj’haka shataral’masjidil’haraami, wa innahu
lal’haqqu mir’rabbika, wa mallaahu bi’gaafilin amma ta’maloon”. [149].

149. “And whenever you go out, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque, and certainly it is the truth from
your Nourisher, and Allaah is not unaware of what you do”.
                

                
“Wa min haisu kharajta fa’walli waj’haka shataral’masjidil’haraami. Wa Haisu maa
kuntum fa’walloo wu’joohakum shatarahu li’allaa yakoona lin’naasi alaikum hujjatan
illal’lazeena zalamoo minhum, falaa takh’shaow’hum wakh’shownee, wali’ utimma ni’matee
alaikum wa la’allakum tah’tadoon”. [150].
150. “And whenever you go out turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque, and wherever you
may be, turn your face towards its direction, so that it may not become a point of argument for the
people upon you, except those who did wrong among them. Therefore do not fear them, but fear Me,
so that you may receive guidance”.
             

    


“Kamaa arsalnaa feekum rasoolan’minkum yat’loo alaikum aayaa’tina wa yuzakkeekum wa
yu’alli’mukumul’kitaaba wal’hikmata wa yu’allimukum maa lam takoonoo ta’lamoon”. [151].
151. “Like that We have sent among you a messenger from among you, who reads to you Our
signs and purifies you and teaches you the Book and wisdom, and teaches you that which you do not
know”.
      
“ Faz’kuroonee azkurukum wash’kuroolee wa laa tak’furoonee”. [152].
152. “So remember Me, I will remember you, and be grateful to Me, and do not be ungrateful”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded a “Hadees Qudsi” (in which Allaah speaks), “Whoever remembers Me
in his heart, I will remember him in My heart, and whoever remembers Me in groups, I will
remember him among better groups (i.e. angels)”.
In a similar Hadees Al-Bukhari has recorded wherein Allaah says, “O’ Mankind, if you try to
approach Me a foot, I will approach you by two feet, if you try to approach Me a yard, I will
approach you by two yards, and if you try to come to Me by walk, I will come to you by running”.
           
“Yaa aiyyuhal’lazeena aamanus’ta’yeenoo bis’sabri wassalaati, innal’laaha ma’as’
saabireen”. [153].
153. “O’ you who believe seek help through forbearance and prayer, (salaat). Surely Allaah is
with the forbearers”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has praised the believers, “
when he is comfortable, he expresses his gratefulness to Allaah, thereby he gets reward and even in
his difficulties, he forbears them, thereby he gets the reward”.
               
“Wa laa taqooloo liman yuq’talu fee sabeelil’laahi am’waatun, bal ah’yaa’un wa laakin laa
tash’uroon”. [154].
154. “And do not say for those who are killed in the way of Allaah, (as) dead, rather they are
alive, but you cannot perceive it”.
              

“Wa la’nablu’wannakum bi’shai’in’minal khawfi wal’joo’e, wa naq’sin minal’amwaali


wal’anfusi was’samaraati wa bash’shiris’saabireen”. [155].
155. “And certainly We will test you with something of fear and hunger and loss in wealth and in
fruits, (result of efforts) and convey good news to those who observe patience”.
          
“Allazeena izaa asaabathum museebatun, qaaloo, innaa lillaahi wa inna ilaihi raaji’uun”. [156].
156. “Those, who, when confronted with troubles, they said, “certainly we belong to Allaah, and
certainly we will return to Him”.
Quoting Abu Sulma, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has advised, “whenever
you confront with troubles, say," Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilaiyhi raaji'uun" and pray "Salaat"
“O’ Allaah protect/ reward me in my difficulties and make me to succeed the betterment in it”.
Abu Sulma narrated this saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) to his wife Umm Sulma (Rz). It so
happened that when Abu Sulma died, she prayed the above prayer. After that she wondered as to
who could be a better reward than Abu Sulma. She revealed that after the period of Iddat, [the period
of waiting for a widow or a divorcee to remarry], Rasoolullaah (SAS) proposed her to marry him.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has
advised to repeat, the above, if any muslim forget to say at the time he confronted with troubles, he
should say it as and when he remembers it, and that he will he be rewarded with that, which he
would have got if he would have said at the time of troubles.
          
“Ulaaika alaihim salawaatun min rabbihim wa rahmatun wa ulaaika humul muh’tadoon”. [157].

157. “Those are upon whom the blessings of their Nourisher and those are the guided ones”.
                   

        


“Innas’safaa wal’mar’wata min sha’aairillaahi faman hajjal’baita aow umrata
falaajunaaha alaihi an’yattaow’wafa bihimaa wa man tatawwa’a khairan fa’ innall-aaha
shaakirun aeem”. [158].
158. “Surely the hillocks of As'Safa and Al'Marwata are among the signs of Allaah, so whoever
goes on pilgrimage (Hajj) or goes on to pay a visit (Umrah), there is no sin on him if he goes round
both of them, and who ever do good voluntarily, thus Allaah is certainly the appreciator, the
knower”.
Quoting Aa’yesha (Rz), Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Urwa has saught her opinion that walking
around between As'Safa and Al'Marwata, is not prescribed as a must in the Hajj and Umrah. She
refuted him, and said that it is a must in Hajj and Umrah. And that this revelation came when the
Ansars avoided it, as before the dawn of Islaam, there was a statue of Munat, whom the Ansars were
worshiping. Thinking it to be a sin, they stopped doing so. It is also established that Rasoolullaah
(SAS) has done it and instructed that one should start it from the hillock As'Safa.
                   

“Innallazeena yak’tumoon maa anzalnaa minal’bai’yinaati wal'hudaa min’ba’di maa bai’
yan’naahu lin’naasi fil’kitaabi ulai’ka yal’a’nahum-ullaahu wa yal’a’ nuhumullaa’i’noon”. [159].

159. “Certainly those who hide that which We have revealed from the proofs and the guidance
after that which We have mentioned it for the people in the Book, Those are upon whom Allaah
curses and curse them the cursers”.
Quoting Bra’a'Ibn'Aazib, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS). “In the
grave the infidels are being hit on their fore-head with a hammer, with such severity that its sound is
heard by all living creatures except jinn and human beings and that these creatures curse these
infidels.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), Ibn Kaseer has recorded that if any Islaamic problem is
asked, and that person hides it knowingly then on the Doomsday, a bridle of fire will be placed in his
mouth.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), Ibn Kaseer has recorded that for a learned religious
scholar, all the creatures including the fishes in the sea pray forgiveness for him.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS, Al-Qurtubi has recorded wherein he said, “Don’t deny
wisdom to its able ones, thus you do wrong to them and do not place it on those who are not able for
it, thus you do wrong to it (wisdom)”.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) Al-Qurtubi has recorded." Don’t hang pearls around the
necks of pigs”.
            
“ Il’lalla’zeena taabu wa aslahu wa baiyyanoo fa’ulaika atoobu alai’him wa
anat’taowwaa’burraheem”. [160].
160. “Certainly those who repented and set right and made it clear, I forgive them, I am the
greatest Forgiver, the Most Merciful”.
             
“Innal’lazeena kafaroo wa maatu wa hum kuffaarun, ulai’ka alaihim la’natullaahi
wal’malai’kati wan’naasi aj’ma’een”. [161].
161. “Certainly. Those who did not believed and died while they were infidels. Those are upon
whom, is the curse of Allaah and the angles and the human beings combined”.
          
“Khaalideena feehaa laa yukhaffa’fu an’humul’azaabu wa laa hum yun’za’ roon”. [162].
162. “They will stay therein for ever. The punishment will not be reduced on them, and they will
not be sympathized”.
           
“Wa ilaa’hukum ilaahun waa’hidun, laa ilaaha illaa hu’war’ rahmaanur’ raheem’. [163].
163. “Your Deity is only one. There is no Deity except Him, the most Beneficent, the Merciful”.
Quoting Muslim, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “One whose last
words were, "Laa Ilaaha illallaahu" entered the Heaven”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS); “Ism'Aazam” (the greatest name) is
available in the following verses.
"Ilaahukum Ilaahun waahidun, laa Ilaaha illa huwar'rahmaanur'raheem". [163 of Surat
Al'Baqaratu/2. and "A'lif Laam Meem, Allaahu laa Ilaaha illa huwal'haiyyul qaiyyoom". [1 & 2 of
Surat Aa'le'Imraan/3].

“Inna fi qal’qis’samaawaati wal’arzi waq’tilaafil’laili wan’nahaari wal’fulkil’lati tajree
fil’bahri bimaa yan’fa’un’naasa wa maa anzalal’laahu minas’samaa’e min’maa’e. fa’ahyaa
bihil’arza ba’da maowtiha wa bassa feeha min kulli daa’bba’tin wa tasreefir’riyaahi
was’sahaabil’musaq’qari baina’samaa’e wal’arzi la’aayaatil’liqowmi ya’qiloon”. [164].
164. “Surely, In the creation of skies and the earth and the alternation of night and the day and
ship which sail on the sea with that which benefits the people and that which Allaah sent down from
the sky, the water, thus gave life with it to the earth after its death, and spread in it all the animals
and the alternation the winds and the clouds, its subjugation between the sky and the earth Certainly
there are signs to the people who think over/ understand”.
Quoting Abu-Huraira, Abu Dawood has recorded that he heard Rasoolullaah (SAS) saying, “The
wind is the refreshment of Allaah, it comes with the mercy of Allaah, and with His punishment, so
when you see it, don’t abuse it, but ask Allaah’s pleasantries and seek Allaah’s protection from its
disaster “.
Al-Qurtubi has also recorded that whenever gusty winds below, Rasoolullaah (SAS) used to pray,
“O’ Allaah make it refreshing and do not make it (unpleasing) wind”.
Quoting Aa’yesha (Rz), Muslim has recorded Rasoolullaah (SAS)’s behavior when gusty wind
blew. She said, “His worried face could be observed, he used to move to and fro, and when it turned
into rain, he would become normal and pleased with it”. She said, “I asked him about it”. He replied,
“I feared for, it may become a punishment on my Ummat and when it rained, it turned a mercy”.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) it is recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has expressed his sorrow on
who ever read this Aayat, and did not thought over it.
                    

            
“Wa minan’naasi mai’yattakhizu min doonil’laahi andaadan
yu’hibboonahum ka’hubbil’laahi, wallazeena aamanoo ashad’du hubban lil’laahi, wa laow
yaral’lazeena zalamoo iz yaraownal’azaaba, annal’quw’ wata lil’laahi jamee’an, wa
annal’laaha shadeedul’azaab”. [165].
165. “And from the people who hold others equals to Allaah, they love them like the love for
Allaah, and those who believed have strongest love for Allaah and those who did unjust, when see
the punishment (understand) that, entire power is for Allaah, and surely Allaah is severe in giving
punishment”.
            
Iz tabarra’a allazeenat’tabi’uu minal’lazeenat’tabi’uu wa raa’ul’ azaaba wa taqat’ta’at
bihimul’as’baab”. [166].

166. “When those who were followed, disown those who followed them, and saw the punishment
and their relations were cut off”.
                    

“Wa qaalal’lazeenat’taba’uu laow anna lana karratan fana’tabarr’a minhum kamaa


tabarra’uu minna. Kazaalika yuree’humul’laahu a’maalahum hasaraatin alaihim wa maa humm
bi'qaari’jeena minan’naari”. [167].
167. “And those who followed said,” If there be a returning (to worldly life), Thus we will
disown them, similar to their disownment to us, like that Allaah will show them their deeds. regrets
on them, and they will not be with the removed ones from the Fire”.
                  
“Yaa ayyu’han’naasu kuloo mimmaa fil’arzi halaalan tayyiban wa laa tat’tabi’uu
qut’waatish shaitaani, innahu lakum adu’un’mubeen”. [168].
168. “O’ The people, Eat. from that which is lawful and good on the earth, and do not follow the
foot-steps of Shaitaan. Certainly he is an open enemy to you”.
            
“ Innamaa ya'murukum bis’soo’e wal’fah’shaa’e wa an’taqooloo alal’laahi maa laa
ta’lamoon”. [169].
169. “Certainly, he orders you to do evils and indecent things, and that, to say about Allaah, that
which you do not know”.
                     

  


“ Wa iza qeela lahumut’tabi’uu maa anzalal’laahu qaaloo bal nattabi’uu maa al’fainaa alaihi
aabaa’u'naa, a’walow kaana aabaa’u’hum laa ya’qiloona shai’an wa laa yah’tadoon”. [170].
170. “And when it is said to them, “Follow that which Allaah has sent down”. They said, “But
we will follow that upon which we found our fore-fathers”. Irrespective of their fore-fathers were not
having the understanding of any thing and were not receiving guidance”.
                   
“Wa masalul’lazeena kafaroo ka’masalil’lazeena yan’i’qu bimaa laa yas’ma’u illa du’aa’an
wa nidaa’an, summun buk’mun um’yun fahum laa ya’qi’loon”. [171].
171. “The examples of those who rejected the Faith, is like the one who scream, with which
nothing is heard except, prayings and callings, deaf,dumb,blind, so they do not understand”.
              
“Yaa ayyu’hal’lazeena aamanoo kuloo min tayyi’baati maa razaq’naakum wash’kuroo
lillaahi in kuntum iyyahu ta’budoon”. [172].
172. “O’ you, who believed, eat from the good (things), which We have provided for you, and be
grateful to Allaah, if you are to serve Him alone”.
Quoting Musnad “Ahmad”, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Allaah
is chaste immaculate and accept the chaste and pure things and has ordered His messengers and the
believers to eat the permitted things and do good deeds”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “The water of the sea is clean and
its dead creatures are permitted to eat”,
He has also recorded another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Two dead ones and two bloods are
permitted to eat. The dead ones are fish and locust and the bloods are liver and spleen”.
Ibn Kaseer has also recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) was asked about butter oil (ghee), cheese
and zebra, (whether permitted to eat or not). He replied, “Allaah has explained in His Book the
permitted ones and the prohibited ones and pig is prohibited irrespective of slaughtered or dead”.

Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying Rasoolullaah (SAS); “Don’t get any benefit from the dead
animals”.
Quoting Umm-Sulma (Rz) wife of Rasoolullaah (SAS), Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of
Rasoolullaah (SAS), “There is no harm if you keep the skin of the dead animals, if it is tanned and
its wool and hair if those are washed”.
Al-Qurtubi has also recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), where in he was asked about the
trade of wine. He said, “Curse of Allaah be on the Jews, who were prohibited the fat (tallow), but
they made it decorative things and sold it and ate its prices”.
Quoting Al-Munzir, Al-Qurtubi has recoded that he was one of those who asked Rasoolullaah
(SAS), “What is permitted to us from the things of our brother, when compelled for it”. Rasoolullaah
(SAS), Replied, “permitted to eat but cannot be carried away”.
                      

      


“Innmaa harrama alaikumul’mai’tata wad’dama wa lahmal’khin’zeeri wa maa u’hilla
bihee li’gairil’laahi, fa’maniz’turr gaira baa’gin wa laa aadin falaa isma alaihi, innal’laaha
gafoorur’raheem”. [173].
173. “Surely, forbidden to you, are the dead ones and blood and the flesh of pigs and that which
is slaughtered for other than Allaah. Thus one who is in dire need (helplessly forced), not revoltive
and not habituative, if so there is no sin him. Certainly Allaah is most Forgiver the most Merciful”.
                   

           
“Innal’lazeena yak’tu’moona maa anzalal’laahu minal’kitaabi wa yash’taroona bihi
samanan qaleelan, ulaika maa yaakuloona fee butoonihim illan’naara wa laa
yu’kallimuhumul’laahu yaowmal’qiyaamati wa laa yu’zakkeehim walahum azaabun aleem”.
[174].
174. “Those who hide that which Allaah has sent down in the Book, and sell it for a small price.
Those are who do not eat into their stomach except the Fire, and Allaah will not speak to them on the
Doomsday, and will not purify them and for them is a painful punishment”.
Quoting Abu-Huraira, Muslim has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Three persons to
whom Allaah will not speak on the Doomsday, will not purify them and will not look at them and for
them there will be painful punishment. (1) Old rapist (2) UnFaithful king (3) Arrogant poor”.
            
“Ulaaikal’lazeenash’taroo’z’zalalata bil’hudaa wal’azaaba bil’mag’ firati, famaa
asbarahum alan’naari”. [175].
175. “Those are the ones who purchased straying away for right guidance and punishment for
forgiveness. So horrible patience they have for the Fire”.
                
“Zaalika bi’annal’laaha nazzalal’kitaaba bil’haqqi, wa innal’lazeenakh’talifoo fil’kitaabi
lafee shi’qaaqin ba’eedin”. [176].
176. “That is because Allaah has sent down the Book with truth and surely those who oppose that
which is in the Book, they are in schism far away”.

“Laysal birra an tu’walloo wujoohakum qibalal mashriqi wal’magribi walaakin-nal’birra
man aamana bil’laahi wal’yaowmil aakhiri wal’malaaikati wal’ kitaabi wan’nabiyyeena wa
aatal’maala alaa hubbihi zawil’qurbaa wal’yataama wal ’masake-ena wab’nas’sabeeli
was’saa’i’leen wa fir’riqaabi wa aqaamas’salaata wa aataz’ zaka-ata wal’moofoona
bi’ahdihim izaa aahadoo was’saabireen fil’ba’saa’e waz’ zarraa’e wa heenal’ba’si, uulaikal’
lazeena sada’qoo wa uulaika humul’muttaqoon”. [177].
177. “It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the east or the west, but
righteousness is that (when) one believes in Allaah, and the Doomsday, and the angles and the Book
and the prophets and give the wealth for His love to the relatives and the orphans and the poor and
the traveler and the beggars and for setting the slaves free and establish prayer and pay Zakaat and
fulfill their promise and keep patience in hardships and adversaries and in conflicts. Those are (the
persons) who are truthfully believed and those are who guard themselves against evils”.
Quoting FatimaD/o Qais, AD-Darul-qutni, has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
“Beside Zakaat there is an obligation in the wealth”, and recited this Aayat. No. 177.
Quoting Abu Zarr, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) was asked about the Faith,
he read this Aayat.No.177. Thrice he replied the same afterwards said, “Faith is love for virtues and
hate for evils”.
Quoting Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the explanation of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
for charity. “The best charity is that which is spent in love for Allaah, during health and having the
fear of decrease in the wealth and have the inclination to have more wealth”.
Ibn Kaseer has also recorded another explanation of Rasoolullaah (SAS), wherein he has
explained, “Giving alms to the poor fetch a single reward and if given to a deserving relative it
fetches double rewards, one for charity and the another for the kindness towards the relative.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), wherein he has
explained, “The poor are not the persons who roam asking alms, one or two dates, or one or two
loafs of bread, but those are the poor who do not have enough to meet their necessities and do not
appear as if to reveal upon others their poverty so give them alms.
In another sayings of Rasoolullaah (SAS) Ibn Kaseer has recorded wherein he has said, “The
beggar is having the right even though he comes riding”.
                    

“Yaa ayyu’hal’lazeena aamanu kutiba alaikumul’qisaasu fil’qat’laa,al’ hurru bil’hurri
wal’abdu bil’abdi wal’unsaa bil’unsaa, faman ufiya lahu min akheehi shai’ un fat’tibaa’un
bil’ma’roofi wa adaa’un ilaihi bi’ih’saanin, zaalika taq’feefun min rabbikum wa rahmatun
faman e’tadaa ba’da zaalika falahu azaabun aleem”. [178].
178. “O’ you who believe, retaliation/penalty is prescribed for you in the matter of murder,
independent for independent, slave for slave, female for female, so if the killer is pardoned by the
brother of the deceased, a gratitude following a well known procedure and the payment with
benefaction, that is the concession from your Nourisher and mercy, thus one who exceed after that,
for him a painful punishment”.

Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “If one is killed, the
killer has to be killed or pardoned or made to pay compensation”.
        
“Wa lakum fil’qisaasi hayaatun, yaa’uulil’al’baabi la’allakum tata’qoon”. [179].
179. “There is life to you in “retaliation” , O’ men of understanding so that you may
guard yourselves”.
                 
“Kutiba alaikum izaa hazara ahada’kumul’maowtu in taraka qairan al’wasee’ yatu
lil’waalidain, wal’aq’rabeena bil’ma’roofi haqqan alal’ muttqeen”. [180].
180. “It is prescribed upon you, when death is about to approach to any one of you, to execute a
will for your parents and relatives in a well known manner, an incumbent on those who guard
themselves”.
Quoting Amr'Ibn'qateeja, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “No will is needed for the successor, except that the successor is settled with it”.
While Ibn Kaseer has added that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said the above during his public sermon
and that at first he said, “Allaah has earmarked the rights of the successors”.
Quoting Abu Sayeed Al-Qudri, Ad'Darul'qutni has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
wherein he said, “A dirham given in charity during life is better than, the giving of hundred dirhams
in charity after his death”.
Quoting Ad'Darul'qutni, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “The will which one executes, at the time of his death can be penance for that which he has left
over in payment of Zakaat”.
Quoting Ibn Abbas, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said,
“Running away in the execution of a will, is from the great ones (sins)”.
Quoting Saheehain (both Al-Bukhari and Muslim) Ibn Kaseer has recorded an event wherein a
person approached Rasoolullaah (SAS) and said, “I am having only one daughter to succeed me,
kindly permit me to execute a will given her two third of my belonging”. Rasoolullaah (SAS) said
“No”, then asked for half, which was also rejected, then he asked for one third, which Rasoolullaah
(SAS) permitted and added, “It is also much more. It is better for you to leave behind your relatives
rich, then leaving them poor, and they extend their hand before others” (for financial help).
Quoting Ibn Hatim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “The charity of a
person who is cruel in his life would be returned back”.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “A person who
did good deeds for seventy years, but commits cruelty in executing his will, will be destined to Hell,
and some people lead an evil life for seventy years, but by committing justice in the execution of the
will, will be destined to Heaven”.
              
“Faman badda’lahu ba’da maa sa’mee’a’hu fa’innamaa is’muhu alal’lazeena
yubaddi’loo’nahu,innal’laaha samee’un aleem”. [181].

181. “Thus one who altered it, after he heard it, so the sin of it, is on those who altered it,
Certainly Allaah is the most Hearer and the most Knower”.
                  
“ Fa man khaafa min’moosin janafan aow isman fa’as’laha baina’hum falaa isma alaihi,
innal’laaha gafoorur’raheem”. [182].

182. “But one who feared deviation or sin, from the executor of the will, therefore reconciled
between them, so there is no sin upon him, Certainly Allaah is the most Forgiver and most
Merciful”.
              
“ Yaa ayyu’hal’lazeena aamanoo kutiba alaikumus’siyaamu kama kutiba a’lal’lazeea min
qablikum la’allakum tat’taqoon”. [183].
183 “O’ you who believed, Fasting is prescribed for you as was prescribed for those before you,
So that you may guard (from evil)”.

“Ay’yaa man’maa’doodaatin, faman kaana minkum mareezan aow alaa safarin fa’iddatun
min ay’yaamin u’qar, wa alal’lazeena yutee’qoonahu fid’yatun ta’aamu mis’keenin, faman
tataw’wa’a qairan, fa’huwa qairun lahu, wa an’tasoo’moo qairul’lakum in kuntum
ta’la’moon”. [184].
184. “(It is for) counted number of days, so one who is sick among you or on journey, then (he
should fast for the missed) number of days later and for those who have the strength for it, (for
payment of ransom) the ransom of food for the poor. Thus one who does good willingly[fast], it is
good for him and if you fast, (it is) good for you, If you have the knowledge”.
Quoting Ibn Umar, Al- Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “Islaam is
formed on the five, To testify that there is no God except Allaah and that Muhammad (SAS) is
Allaah’s messenger, and to establish prayer (Salaat) and to pay Zakaat (religious tax) and to fast
during the month of Ramazan and to perform Hajj (pilgrimage)”.
Quoting Ka’ab, Ibn A’sam, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), “It is not
dutiful to observe fasting during journey”.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), wherein he
said, “One upon whom fasting of Ramazan is obligatory [to have redeem from the sin or
promise/vow], he should fast continuously and should not break in between]”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) that he was asked about a person who
could not fast during Ramazan due to illness afterwards he recovered from his illness and could not
fast for the missed ones. Meanwhile the month of Ramazan approached. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied,
“he should fast for the Ramazan approached, afterwards fast for the month which he could not fast,
and feed the poor for each of the day”.
Quoting the source from Ibn Abbas, Muslim has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), that
a woman approached Rasoolullaah (SAS) and said that her mother had died and that upon her fasting
of a vow were due, (in another source it is mentioned as fasting of a month). She asked him, as to
whether she can fast for those. Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “If there was a debt upon your mother,
could you not redeem it”. She said “yes”, Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “Then fast for your mother”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), as recorded by Annisaa’e, the source
being from Ibn Abbas, wherein Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said, “No one should pray for other nor fast
for other, but should feed a “Muddun”, (a measure equal to 1/3 of Ritle in Hijaz and 2 Ritles in Iraq)
for each day”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) as recorded by Muslim, the source
being from Abu Huraira, wherein Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said, “when the month of Ramazan starts
the doors of Mercy will be opened and the doors of the Hell closed and the Shaitaans will be
chained”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), as reported by many reliable sources,
wherein Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said, “Fast after seeing the crescent moon and discontinue after

seeing it, and when it is cloudy, (reports of non visibility from other places came in) then complete
the fasting for thirty days”.

“Shah’ru Ramazaanal’lazee unzila feehil’qur’aan hudal’linnaasi wa baiyyi’
naatim’minal’hudaa wal’furqaan, faman shahida minkumush’shah’ra fal’ yusam’ hu, wa man
kaana mareezan aow alaa safarin fa’iddatun min ay’yaamin u’ khar, yureedul’laahu
bikumul’yusra wa laa yureedu bikumul’us’ra, wa’lituk’milu’l iddata wa litu’kabbirool’laaha
alaa maa hadaakum wa la’allakum tash’kuroon”. [185].
185. “The month of Ramazan, during which the Al-Qur’an was sent down a guidance for human-
beings and clear explanations of the guidance and the distinguisher, (between right and wrong), so
whoever among you is present in this month, thus It is upon him to fast, and one who is ill or on a
journey, he should complete the number from the later days. Allaah desires easiness upon you and
does not desire hardship upon you and to complete the number, (of the days missed) and to praise
Allaah’s greatness for having guided you, and so that you may be grateful”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has informed that the
religion of Allaah is easy, so observe easiness and do not make it hard.
Quoting Aa’yesha (Rz), Al-Qurtubi has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) was fasting on the 30th
day, (of Ramazan), during the day he knew that the crescent moon was previous evening, She said,
“Rasoolullaah (SAS) continued his fast till the evening and did not end it, (after the knowledge)”.
Quoting Ibn Jareer, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), wherein he said,
“One who is on fast, if eat or drink forgetfully, it is as if provided by Allaah Ta’ala, there is no
repeatation for it”.
Similar saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) have been recorded by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, “That if
any thing is eaten or drunk forgetfully, there is no repeatation of the fast and there is no objection to
it”.
Quoting Aa'yesha (Rz), Al-Qurtubi has recorded that she said, “Rasoolullaah (SAS) used to take
bath in the morning and continue his fast of the month of Ramazan, when he would be in impurity
other than that of wet-dreams”.
Quoting Muslim, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said,
“There are two pleasures for one who fasts, first when he ends his fast by eating food and drink, the
second one, when he faces his Nourisher (Allaah) with the reward for his fast”.
Quoting Abu'Ayyub'Al'Ansari, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
wherein he said, “One who fasts the month of Ramazan complete and six days during the month of
Shawwal, it is as if he fasted the year completely”.
                 

“Wa izaa sa’a’laka ibaadee annee, fa’innee qreebun ujeebu da’watid’daa’e izaa da’aanee
fal’yas’tajeeboo lee wal’yu’minoo bee la’allakum yar’shu’doon”. [186].
186. “And when my servants ask you about Me, so I am certainly near, I reply to the caller who
calls Me, so they should also seek to reply Me, and should believe in Me, so that they may follow
the right path”.
Quoting Anas, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said,
“Allaah says I treat My servants according to his Faith, which he possess towards Me, when he
prays, I will be with him”.

Quoting Salmaan Farsi, Ibn Kaseer has recoded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “When one asks Allaah by raising his hands, Allaah gets embarrassed to turn his hands empty”.
Quoting Abu Sayeed Al-Qudri, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS),
Wherein he said, “when one asks Allaah which is not a sin or which do not cut off the relationships,
Allaah will certainly grant that which is asked, or it will be kept in abeyance to be granted in the life
to come or due to that He will protect him from the impending troubles”.
Quoting Anas, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has said,
“Allaah says to the sons of Aadam[AS], there are three deeds, first for you, next for Me and the third
is in between Us, the First one is to serve Me alone, and should not be included others in it. The
second one is for Me, which is to grant full reward for all your deeds. The third one is, on your part
to ask Me, and My part is accept it”.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), Ibn Kaseer has recorded wherein he has said that the
requests of three persons will not be rejected. The first is that of a rightful honest king, the second is
that of the person who is on fast, the third one is that of the victim of injustice. The doors of the sky
will be opened for the curse of the victim of injustice and Allaah vows to help him, though it may be
delayed”.

“U’hilla lakum lailatas’siyaamir’rafasa ilaa nisaa’i’kum, hunna libaasul’lakum wa antum
libaasul’lahunna, alimal’laahu annakum kuntum taq’taa’noona anfusakum fa’taaba alaikum
wa a’faa ankum, fal’aa’na baashiroo’hunna wab’tagoo maa katabal’ laahu lakum wa kuloo
wash’raboo hatta yata’bayyana lakumul’qaiy’tul’abyazi minal’ qaiy’tul’aswadi minal fajri,
summa atimmus’siyaama ilal’laili wa laa tubaashiroo’ hunna wa antum aa’kifoona
fil’masaajidi til’ka hudoodul’laahi, falaa taq’rabooha, ka’zaalika yubai’yi’nul’laahu
aayaatihee linnaasi la’Allaahum yat’ta’qoon”, [187].
187. “You are permitted lawfully to approach your wives during the night of the fast, they are
the garment for you, and you are the garment for them. Allaah knew that you were betraying
yourselves, so He turned upon you and pardoned you. So you may now have sexual intercourse with
them and seek that which Allaah has prescribed to you, eat and drink till you can distinguish the
white thread from the black thread of dawn. Then you complete the fast till night and do not have
sexual intercourse with them when you have devotedly secluded yourself in the mosques (Eitikaf, "
"‫ )إﻋﺘﻜﺎف‬Those are the limits, so do not go near them. Like that Allaah reveals His signs to the
people, so that they may guard themselves”.
Quoting Aa'yesha (Rz) Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “Ei’tikaf’"‫( " إﻋﺘﻜﺎف‬secluding one self in a mosque for prayer) should not be undertaken, except
on fast”.
Quoting Muslim, Al-Qurtubi has recorded Aa'yesha’ (Rz) saying that whenever Rasoolullaah
(SAS) desired to observe Ei’tikaf"‫" إﻋﺘﻜﺎف‬, he used to begin it after the prayer, "Salaat'ul'Fajr"
[prayer at dawn].
Quoting Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein
he has advised to eat before dawn [Sahree], while observing fast, as there is prosperity in it”.
In another saying recorded by Ibn Kaseer, Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said, “My people will live
safely, so long they hasten in ending the fast and delay in eating for the fast”.

Quoting Musnad Ahmad and Tirmizi, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
wherein he has said, “Dawn is not that, which spreads at the horizon, but the red, which appears at
the horizon”.
                

“Wa Laa taa'kuloo amwaalakum bainakum bil’baatili wa tudloo’bihaa ilal’ hukkaami li’taakuloo
fareeqaam’min amwaalin’naasi bil’ismi wa antum ta’lamoon”. [188].
188. “And do not eat the wealth among yourselves by false means and substantiate before the judges,
so as to eat sinfully a portion of the wealth of the people and you know it”.
                  

              
“ Yes’a’loonaka anil’a’hillati, qul hiya ma’mawaa’qeetu linnaasi wal’hajj, wa laisal’ birru
bi’an taatul’buyoota min zuhooriha wa laakinnal’ birra ma’nittaqaa, wa aatul’buyoota min
ab’waabiha wattaqul’laaha la’allakum tufli’hoon”, [189].
189. “They ask you about the new moons, say, “They are times for the people and Hajj
pilgrimage. It is not Faithfulness so as to enter the houses from its back sides, but Faithfulness is that
which one guards himself, and enter the houses from it doors and be fearful of Allaah, so that you
may be successful”.
              
“ Wa qaatiloo fee sabeelil’laahil’lazeena yuqaatiloonakum wa laa ta’tadoo, innal’laaha laa
yuhibbul’mu’tadeen”. [190].
190. “And fight with those who fight with you in the way of Allaah and do not exceed, Certainly
Allaah does not love those who exceed”.
               

             
“ Waq’tuloo’hum haisu saqif’tumoo’hum wa aq’rijoo’hum min’haisu akh’rajoo’kum
wal’fit’natu a’shaddu minal’qatli, wa laa tu’qaatiloo’hum indal’ masjidil’haraami hattaa
yuqaa’tilookum feehi. Fa'in qaatalookum faq’ tuloohum, kazaalika jazaa’ul’kaafiraan”. [191].
191. “And kill them wherever you are skillful to them and drive them out from wherever you
were driven out and sedition is most severe than killing and do not fight with them near the holy
Mosque, till they fight with you in it, if they fight with you then kill them. Like that, is the reward of
the infidels”.
      
“ Fa’inn’tahoo, fa’innal’laaha gafoorur’raheem”. [192].
192. “So, if they refrained, then Allaah is certainly the most for forgiver, most Merciful”.
                 
“ Wa qaatiloohum hatta laa takoona fit’natun wa yakoonad’daeenu lillaahi, fa’inin’tahoo
falaa’ud’waana illa alaz’zaalimeen”. [193].
193. “And fight with them till there can be no sedition and the religion becomes for Allaah. So if
they refrain, there may not be aggression except on the wrongdoers”.

“Ash’sharul’haraamu bish’sharil’haraami wal’huru’maatu qisaa’sun famani’e’ tadaa
alaikum fa'tadoo alaihi bi’misli maa e’tadaa alaikum wat’taqul’laaha wa’lamoo annal’laaha
ma’al’muttaqeen”. [194].
194. “The sacred month for the sacred month and retaliation is for sacred things, so one who
exceed upon you, you exceed upon him, like that which he exceeded upon you, and fear Allaah and
have the knowledge that Allaah is with those who guard themselves”.
                
“ Wa anfi’qoo fee sabeli’laahi wa laa tul’qoo bi’ayi’deekum ilat’tahlu’kati, wa ah’sanoo,
innal’laaha yu’hibbul’muh’sineen”. [195].
195. “And spend in the way of Allaah and do not gather your hands towards destruction, and do
good, certainly Allaah loves the doers of good”.
                      

“Wa atimmul’hajja wal’um’rata lil’laahi, fa'in uh’sirtum famas’taisara minal’ had’ ee,wa laa
tah’liqoo ru’uusa’kum hatta yablugal’had’yu mahilla’ hu, faman kaana minkum mareezan aow
bihi aazan min raasihi fafidyatun min siyaa’min aow sadaqa’tin aow nusukin fa izaa aamintum,
faman tamat’ ta’a bil’umrati ilal’hajji famas’ tai’sara minal’had’ee, faman lam yajid fa’siyaamu
salaasa’ti ayyaa’mi fil’hajji wa sab’ a’tin’izaa raja’tum, tilka ash’ ratun kaamilatun, zaalika liman
lam yakun ah’lahu haaziril’ masjidil’ haraami, wat’taqul’laaha wa’lamoo annal’laaha shadeedul’
iqaab”. [196].
196. “And complete the Hajj and Umra for Allaah, if you are surrounded, then that which can be
easy for sacrifice, and do not shave your heads till your sacrifices reach its place, then one who is
sick or suffering from his head, then ransom is to fast or charity or sacrifice, if you are in peace then
one who desire benefit of Umra and Hajj, then that which can be easy for sacrifice, then one who do
not have anything (for sacrifices) then fasting for three days during Hajj and seven days when you
return. Those are complete ten (days), that is for the one whose family is not in the precinct of the
Masjid'il'Haraam, and be fearful of Allaah and have the knowledge that Allaah is severe in
punishment”.
Quoting Al-Qurtubi it is explained that wearing of “Ehram” (the garment of Hajj and Umra)
Rasoolullaah (SAS) has fixed the following places. For the pilgrims of Al-Madina Zal-Haleefat, for
the pilgrims of Syria Al'Juhnat, for those from Najd, Qarn and those for Yaman, Yalamlam.
Quoting Abdullah Ibn Umar (Rz), Al-Qurtubi has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has prayed
for the mercy on those who shaved their head. He was asked to pray for those who shortened their
hairs, but he prayed for those who shaved their heads. On the third time he prayed for those who
shortened their hairs.
Quoting Abu Dawood Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “For women shaving their heads is not necessary but they have to shorten their hairs.

“ Al’hajju ash’hurum’ma’loo’mmtun, faman faraza feehinnal’hajja falaa rafase wa laa
fusoo’qa wa laa jidaala fil’hajji wa maa taf’aloo min qairin ya’lamahul’laahu, wa tazawwadoo
fa’inna qairaz’zaadit’taq’wa wat’taqooni, yaa.’uulil’albaab”. [197].
197. For Hajj the months are well known, so one who desires to perform the duty of Hajj in these
(days), there should not be sexual intercourse (with your wives), should not be sinful doings and
should not be disputing during the Hajj, and whatever you do from good,

Allaah knows it and take along provisions (for the journey), so the best provision is fear of
Allaah and “Fear Me O’ Wise men”.
                

            
“ Lai’sa alaikum junaahun an tab’tagoo fazlam’mir’rabbikum, faizaa afaz’tum min
ara’faatin faz’kurool’laaha indal’mash’a’ril’haraami waz’ kuroohu kama hadaakum, wa’in
kuntum min qablihi laminaz’zaal’leen”. [198].
198. “There is no sin upon you, if you seek the grace from your Nourisher, so if you arrive from
Arafat remember Allaah, near the sacred monuments, and remember Him, as He has directed you
and before this you were from the strayed ones”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), wherein he was asked about the trade
(buying and selling) during Hajj, and Rasoolullaah (SAS) permitted both buying and selling.
Quoting Jabir, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that on the day of “Arafaat” Rasoolullaah (SAS) stayed
there till sun set, and moved to “Muzdalfa”, after the sun set, prayed there the prayers of Magrib and
Esha, stayed there till dawn praying, and prayed the prayer of Fajr, and moved from there before the
sun rise.
             
“Summa afeezoo min haisu afaazan’naasu was’tag’firullaaha, innallaaha
gafoorur’raheem”. [199].
199. Then hasten (in your movement) from (the place) like the people (who) hastened in their
return, and seek the forgiveness of Allaah. Certainly Allaah is most Forgiver the most Merciful.
Quoting Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded that after the obligatory prayers Rasoolullaah (SAS) used to
pray Allaah for forgiveness three times, and both Al-Bukhari and Muslim have recorded that Rasoolullaah
(SAS) used to order the people to say each, ‫ﺳُﺒﺤﺎن اﻟﻠّﮫ‬, ‫ اﻟﺤﻤﺪُﻟﻠّﮫ‬,‫اﷲ اﻛﺒﺮ‬ "Subhaanallaah,
Alhamdulillaah,'Allaahu'Akbar"thirty three times each.
Quoting both Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded an event wherein Abu-Bakr (Rz)
asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) to teach him a best wish to be sought during prayer, (’‫ )اﻟﺼﻼه‬,
Rasoolullaah (SAS) told him to recite.
. ‫أﻟﻠّﮭُﻤﻢﱠ إﻧﱢﻰ ﻇَﻠَﻤﺖُ ﻧَﻔﺴِﻰ ﻇُﻠﻤ ﺎً ﻛَﺜﯿﺮاً وَﻻَ ﯾَﻐﻔِﺮُاﻟﺬﱡﻧُﻮبَ إﻻﱠ أَﻧﺖَ ﻓﺎَﻏﻔِﺮﻟِﺊ ﻣِﻐﻔِﺮَةً ﻣِﻦ ﻋِﻨﺪِكَ وَارﺣَﻤﻦِ إﻧﱠﻚَ أﻧﺖَ أﻟﻐَﻔُﻮرُ اﻟﺮﱠﺣِﯿﻢ‬
"Allaahumma innee zalamtu nafsee zulman kaseeran wa laa yagfi'ruzzunooba illa anta fagfir lee
magfi'ratan min indika wa arhamnee innaka antal' gafoorur' raheem".
Quoting Aa’yesha (Rz) Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “When you throw pebbles of the Shaitaan, and shaved your heads, and sacrificed, then you are
permitted to use everything except your wives, i.e. even use normal clothing’s and use scents.
                    

“Fa izaa aq’zaitum manaasi’kakum faz’kurul’laaha ka’zikri’kum aabaa’a’kum aow


ashsdda zikran faminan’naasi man yaqoolu, rabbanaa aatinaa fid’dunyaa, wa maa lahu
fil’aa’khirati min khalaaq”. [200].
200. So when you complete your holy rites, then praise Allaah, like the praise of your fore-
fathers or more forceful praises, So from the people who say O’ our Nourisher, give us in this world,
nothing for him from the Creations in the Hereafter.
              
“Wa min hum man yaqoolu rabbanaa aatinaa fid’dunya hasanatan wa fil’aaqirati
hassanatan wa’qinaa azaabannaar”. [201].
201. “And from them, who say, O’ our Nourisher, give us (which is) good, and in the Hereafter
(which is) good, and save us from the punishment of Fire”.
         
“Ulaika lahum naseebum’mim’ma kasaboo wal’laahu saree’ul hisaab”. [202].
202. “And those for them all reaction from that which they, earned, and Allaah is quick in
accounts.
                        

“Waz’ku’rullaaha fee ayyaa’mim’ma’doodaatin, faman ta’ajjala fi yaow’maini falaa isma
alaihi wa man ta’aq’qara falaa isma alaihi limanit’taqaa watta’qullaaha wa’lamoo annakum
ilaihi tuh’sharoon”. [203].
203. “And praise Allaah during the prescribed days, so one who hastened in the two days, there is
no sin on him, and one who delayed, there is no sin on him. This is for the one who guarded
(himself) and be fearful of Allaah and have the knowledge that you will be assembled towards Him”.
Quoting Ahmad, Al-Qurtubi has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) fixed three days (of stays) in
Mina. Ibn Kaseer has recorded that during his stay in Mina, he ordered Abdullaah Ibn Huzaifa, (Rz)
to roam in Mina, and inform the people, not to observe fast during these days and that these are the
days to eat drink and praise Allaah”.
                 
“Wa minan’naasi man tu’jibuka qowlahu fil’hayaatid’dunyaa wa yush’ hidul’laaha alaa
maa fee qal’bihi, wa huwa aladdul’qisaam”. [204].
204. “And among the people, one whose speech about the worldly life pleases you, and made
Allaah witness for that which is in his heart, And he is a rigid in disagreement”.
Quoting Muslim, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) as reportedly
Aa'yesha (Rz) where in he said, “One who is rigid in disputes is the one to whom Allaah hates
most”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded a saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has pointed out three signs
of a hypocrite (a) He lies in his talks, (b) when make a promise he deceives (c) In disputes starts
abusing.
               
“ Wa izaa tawalla sa’aa fil’arzi liyuf’sida feeha wa yuhlikal’harsa wan’nasla, wallaahu laa
yuhibbul fasaad”. [205].
205. “And when he gets power on the land, strives for perversion in it, and destroy the crop and
the offspring. And Allaah does not love perversion”.

“Wa izaa qeela lahut’taqil’laaha aqa’zat'hul’izzatu bil’ismi fahas’buhu jahannamu wa
la’bi’sal mihaad”. [206].
206. “When it is said to him, ‘be fearful of Allaah the self prestige held him with evils’, so his
sufficiency is the Hell, and surely, (it is) a miserable bed”.
            
“Wa minan’naasi man yash’ree nafsahub’tigaa’a mar’zaatil’laahi, wal’laahu ra’uoofun bil
ibaad”. [207].
207. “And from the people who sell his self, seeking the pleasures of Allaah, and Allaah is full of
merciful to the human beings”.
                 
“Yaa’ayyu’hallazeena aamanoo ud’quloo fis’silmi kaa’ffatan, wa laa tattabi’uu
qut’waatish’shaitaani, innahu lakum adu’un mubeen”. [208].
208. “O’ Those who believed, enter into Islaam completely, and do not follow the steps of
Shaitaan, Certainly he is a clear enemy to you”.
             
“Fa’in zalal’tum mim’badi maa jaa’at kumul’baiyi’naatu fa’lamoo annal’laaha azeezun
hakeem”. [209].
209. “So if you act disgracefully, after that clear signs came to you, so make it understood, that
Certainly Allaah is most powerful and most wise”.
                   
“Hal yan’zuroona illa an ta’tee’ya’humul’laahu fi zulalin minal’ gamaami wal’ malaikatu
wa qu’ziyal’amru, wa ilal’laahi turja’ul’umoor”. [210].
210. “Do they wait, expect that Allaah to come to them in the shadows of the clouds and the
angels and the matter be decided and towards Allaah all matters being returned”.
                  

   


“Sal bani’israela kam aataiynaa’hum min aa’yatin baiyyi’natin, wa, man yu’baddilu
ni’matal’laahi mim ba’di maa jaa’at’hu fa'innal’laaha shadeedul’eqaab”. [211].
211. “Ask the Children of Israel, how many clear signs did We gave to them, and the one who
changes the benefaction of Allaah, after that which came to him, so surely Allaah is severe in
punishment”.
                    

   


“Zuyyina lillazeena kafarul’hayaatud’dunyaa wa yes’qaroona minal’ lazeena aamanoo,
wallazee’naat’taqoo faow’qahum yaow’mal’ qiyaamati, wal’laahu yar’zuqoo man yashaa’u
bi’gairi hisaab”. [212].
212. “The life of the world is made beautiful to those who rejected the Faith, and redicule to
those who believed and those who guarded themselves, (will be) above them on the day of
resurrection, Allaah provides means of livelihood, uncountable to whom He may desire”.

“Kaanan’naasu ummatan waahi’datan, faba’asal’laahun’nabi’yeena mubashsh-reena wa
mun’zireena wa anzala ma’a’humul’kitaaba bil’haqqi li’yah’ kuma bai’nan’ naasi
feema’q’talafoo feehi illal’lazeena uu’toohu mim’ba’di maa jaa’ athumul’ baiyyi’naatu bagh’yan
bai’nahum, fa’hadal’laahul’lazeena aamanoo limaq’talafoo feehi minal’haqqi bi’iznihi, wal’laahu
yahdi man yashaa’u ilaa siraatim’mustaqeem”. [213].
213. “ The human beings were a single community so Allaah aroused the prophets, the
conveyers of good news, and the warners and sent down with them the book, with truth so as to
decide between the people with in which they differed in it, and no one differed in it except those
who were given it (the book), after that which came to them, the clear proofs, transgression between,
them, so Allaah guided those who believed for that which they differed in it from the truth, with His
will, and Allaah guides to whom He may desire, towards the straight way”.
                  

               
“Am hasib’tum an tad’qulul’jannata wa lamma yaa’tikum’ masalullazeena qalaow min
qablikumul’massat’humul’ba’saa’u wazzarrau wa zulzloo, hatta yaqoolar’rasoolu wal’lazeena
aamanoo ma’a’hu mataa nasrullaahi, a’laa inna nasurallaahi qareeb”. [214].
214. “Do you think that you will enter the Heaven and it has not came to you like to those who
passed away before you, warfare and distress afflicted them and were shaken, till the messenger and
those who believed with him say, when is the help of Allaah, behold, surely the help of Allaah is
near”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) that Qabbat'Ibn'Arat, (Rz) once asked
Rasoolullaah (SAS) as to why he is not praying for help from Allaah. Rasoolullaah (SAS) exclaimed
on his haste, and said, that previous believers were tortured,
to the extent that saws were placed on their heads, and cut into two pieces, their skins were
scratched with iron. combs, but with all such horrible tortures they were not leaving their Faith,
which they owned on Allaah and said, “Allaah will complete my religion to such an extent, that one
could travel from San’a to Hazar'Month, with out fear, except of Allaah, yes, he may have fear of
having his herds maybe attacked by wild animals, Alas, you resort to haste”.
                 

       


“Yas’aloonaka maa zaa yun’fiqoona, qul maa anfaq’tum min qairin fa’lil’waalidaini
wal’aqrabeen wal’yataamaa wal’masaakeeni wab’nissabeeli, wa maa taf’aloo min qairin
fa’innallaaha bihi aleem”. [215].
215. “And they ask you, what has to be spent, say, what you spent in good, for the parents, and
near relatives, and the orphans and the poor and the wayfarers and that which you do for good,
certainly Allaah knows it”.

“.Kutiba alaikumul’qitaalu wa huwa kurhun lakum wa asaa an takrahoo shai’an, wa


huwa qairul’lakum wa asaa an tuhibboo shai’an wa huwa sharrul’lakum, wal’laahu ya’lamu
wa antum laa ta’lamoon”. [216].
216. “Fighting is written upon you, and you dislike it and possibly you dislike a thing that is good
for you, and possibly you love a thing, that is harmful to you and Allaah knows and you do not
know”.
                    

“Yes’aloonaka anish’shah’ril’haraami qitaalin feehi, qul, qitaalun feehi kabeerun, wa
saddun an sabeelil’laahi wa kufrun bihee, wal’masjidil’haraami, wa iqraajun ahlihi minhu
akbaru indal’laahi, wal’fitnatu akbaru minal’qatli, wa laa yazaaloon yuqaa’tiloonakum hatta
yaruddookum an deenikum inis’tata’uu, wa man yartadid an deenihi fa'yamut wa huwa
kaafirun.fa uulaika habitat a’maaluhum fid’dunyaa wal’aaqirati, wa uulaika ashaabun’naar,
hum feeha khalidoon”, [217].
217. “They ask you about fighting during the prohibited month, Say, fighting in it is great (sin), and to
keep off (people) from the way of Allaah, and rejection to Him, and the prohibited Mosque ejecting out its
dwellers from it, are great (sins) at Allaah, and sedition is greater (evil) than slaughter, they will not cease
fighting with you, till they turn you back from your religion, if they can have the power, and one from you
who turn back from his religion, then dies, and he is an infidel, thus those are their deeds are confiscated,
in this world and in the Hereafter, and they are the Companions of Fire, they will dwell in it forever”.
                 
“In’nallazeena haajaroo wa jaahadoo fee sabeelil’laahi. Ulaaika yarjoona rah’ matal’laahi,
wal’laahu gafoorur’raheem”. [218].
218. “Those who believed and those who migrated and tried hard in the way of Allaah, they hope
for the Mercy of Allaah, and Allaah is the most Pardoner and the most Merciful”.
                

“Yes’a’loonaka anil’qamri wal’mai’sari, qul, feehimaa ismun kabeerun wa manafi’un
lin’naasi, wa ismu’humaa akbaru min naf’i’himaa, wa yes’a’loonaka maa’zaa yun’fiqoon,
qulil’af’u, kazaalika yu’bai’inul’laahu lakumul’aayaati la’allkum tatta’fakkaroon”. [219].
219. “They ask you about intoxicant and gambling, say, in both is great sin and profit for the
people and the sin of these two is greater than the profit in these two, and they ask you, what has to
be spent, Say. “The tolerable” Like that Allaah makes clear to you the signs so that you may think
over it”.
Quoting Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) who advised a
person who asked about spending, “Begin the spending on your self first, if remain spend on your
family, after that if remain, spend on your relatives, after that also if remain, spend on the needy”.
Quoting Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said,
“The Best charity is that, which a person keeps that much only for self-need and the remaining
spends in the way of Allaah”. Upper hand is superior than the lower hand. At first pay to those
whose maintenance is your responsibility.

“Fid’dunyaa wal’aaqirati, wa yes’aloonaka anil’yataamaa, qul islaahun lahum qairun, wa
tu’qaali’toohum fa'iq’waa’nikum, wal’laahu ya’lamul’ mufsida minal’ muslihi, wa laow
shaa’allaahu la'a'natakum, innal’laaha azeezun hakeem”. [220].
220. “In This world and the Hereafter, and they ask you about the orphans, Say, reform to them is
good, if you combine them, they are your brothers, and Allaah knows, the spoiler from the reformer,
and if Allaah desired you could have been troubled, surely Allaah is most Mighty and most Wise”.
                  

“Wa laa tan’kihul’mushrikaati hatta yu'minna, wa la'amatun mu’minatun qairrun
min’mushrikatin wa laow a’jabat’kum, wa laa tunkihul’mushri’keena hatta yu’minoo, wa
la’abdun’mu’minun qairun min’mushrikin wa laow a’jabak- um, u’laika yad’uu’na
ilan’naari, wal’laahu yad’uu ilal’jannati wal’mag’ firati bi’iznihi, wa yubaiy’yinu aayaatihi
linnaasi la’Allaahum yata’zakkaroon”. [221].
221. “Do not marry the polytheist women till they accept Faith (of Islaam) a Faithful slave
woman is better that a polytheist woman, even though she pleases you, and do not marry. Polytheist
men till, they accept Faith (of Islaam) and a Faithful slave man is better than a polytheist even
though he pleases you, they invite you to the fire, and Allaah invites you to the Heaven and
forgiveness with His permission, and explains His signs to the people, so that they may be mindful”.
Quoting Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said,
“The entire world is property, the better property of the world is a pious woman and do not marry
muslim woman to polytheists”.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “In marriage four things are seen, wealth, ancestry, beauty and piousness, it is better for you to
prefer the pious ones”.
                  

            
“Wa yes’a’loonaka anil’maheez., qul huwa azan, fa’tazilun’nisaa’a fil’maheezi, wa laa
taqrabu’hunna hatta yat'hurna, fa'izaa yat'hurna fa’too’hunna min haisu amara’
kumullaahu, innallaaha yuhibbut’ tawwaabeen wa yuhibbul' muta' tahhareena”. [222].
222. “They ask you about menstruation, Say, “It is harmful, so keep away from women during,
the menstruation and do not be near to them till they became clean, so when they are clean go to
them as Allaah has ordered you, surely Allaah loves those who turns to Allaah in repentance, and
loves those who maintain cleanliness”.
Quoting Aa’yesha (Rz), Ibn Kaseer has recorded that when she was asked about the women in
menstruation she explained, “I used to Wash the head of Rasoolullaah (SAS), and he used to rest on
my lap and used to recite the Al-Qur’an, at that time I was to be in menstruation, I used to suck the
hide and Rasoolullaah (SAS) used to suck the hide from the same place, similarly after drinking
water he used to take the glass and drink from the same place of the glass, which I used, at that time
I used to be in menstruation”.

Quoting Abu Dawood, Ibn Kaseer has recorded, wherein Aa’yesha (Rz) has said, “Rasoolullaah
(SAS) used to sleep with me, in a quilt, I would be in menstruation, if any thing stuck on his clothes
or body, he used to wash that much only, and used to pray, while the same clothes being on his
body”.
                  

 
“Nisaa’u’kum har’sullakum, fa’too harsakum annaa shi’tum,wa qaddimoo li’ anfusikum,
wattaqul’laaha wa’lamoo annakum mulaa’qoohu wa bash’shiril’ mu’ mineen”. [223].
223. “Your women (wives) are a cultivation for you, so come on your cultivation as you like, and
(do good in] advance for your “own-self”, and be fearful of Allaah, and have the knowledge that you
will meet Him, and convey good news to the believers”.
               
“Wa laa taj’a’lul’laaha urzatan li’ayi’maanikum an tabarroo wa wattaqoo wa tusli’hoo
bainan’naasi, wal’laahu samee’un aleem”. [224].
224. “And do not make Allaah, an intention for your oaths, so as to absolve your self, and do
have fear of Allaah, and reconcile between the people, and Allaah is the most Hearer, the most
Knower”.
Quoting Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “If
after taking an oath, one finds a better thing then the one which was taken as an oath, it is upon him
to break the oath, and pay its penance”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) stating that it has been reported with
many sources and books, wherein Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said, “If a person takes an oath, and is not
prepared to pay the penance, and stood adamant on it, he is the great sinner”.
                
“Laa u’aaqi’zukumul’laahu billagwi fee aimaanikum wa laakin yu’aaqizkum bimaa kasabat
quloobukum, wal’laahu gafoorun haleem”. [225].
225. “Allaah will not hold you for the ineffectiveness in your oaths, but will hold you with that
which your hearts earned, and Allaah is the Most Forgiver, the Most Merciful”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), that some archers were practicing,
Rasoolullaah (SAS) went and stood with them, one of the person was telling on oath that “by Allaah,
he will hit the target, and also by Allaah he will miss the target. “Another person drew Rasoolullaah
(SAS)’s attention, to him. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, his oaths are void, no penance for it, and
there is no punishment for it”.
               
“Lillazeena yu’loona min’nisaai’him tarabbusu arba’a’ti ash’hurin, fa'in faa’uu,
fainnal’laaha gafoorur’raheem”. [226].
226. “Those who swear by their women (wives), has to wait for four months, then if they return
back, then Allaah is the Most Forgiver, the Most Merciful”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has said, “If any one has to
take an oath, he should take the oath in the name of Allaah, or else he should keep quiet”.
       
“ Wa in’azamut’tallaaqa, fainnal’laaha samee’un aleem”.
227. “And if they decide for divorce, then, certainly Allaah is the most Hearer and the most
Knower”.

“Wal’mutallaqaatu yata’rabbasna bi’anfusihinna salaasata quroo’in wa laa yahillu
lahunna an’yaktum’na maa qalaqal’laahu fee arhaami’hinna inkunna yu’minna billaahi
wal’yaow’mil’aaqiri, wa bu’uu’latu’hunna a’haqqu biraddi’ hinna fee zaalika in araadoo
islaahan, wa lahunna mislul’lazee alai’hinna bil’ma’ roofi, wa lir’rijaali alai’hinna darajatun,
wal’laahu azeezun hakeem”. [228].
228. “And the divorced women should wait them selves for three menstrual, and it is not
permissible for them to hide that which Allaah has created in their wombs, if they are the believers
of Allaah and the Doomsday, and their husbands have the right to their return back in that, if they
desire for reconciliation, and for them (women) like that which is upon them, (men) in a well-known
(manner) and for men, a preference upon them. And Allaah is the most Mighty the most Wise”.
                   

“Attalaaqu marrataani, fa’imsaakum’bi’ma’roofin, aow tasree’hun bi’ihsaanin wa laa
yahillu lakum an taaquzoo mim’maa aataitumoo’hunna shai’a illa an’yaqaafaa allaa
yuqeemaa hudoodal’laahi, fa in qiftum an'laayuqeemaa hudoodallaahi, falaa junaaha alaihima
feemaf’tadat bihee tilka hudoodul’laahi, falaa ta’tadoohaa, wa man yata’adda hudoodal’laahi,
fa’uu’laaika humuzzaalimoon”. [229].
229. “The divorce is two times, so taking (back) wife with a well known manner or release (wife)
with favour, it is not permissible for you to take back any thing which you have given to them,
except that both fear they may not with stand the limits of Allaah, so if you fear, that they may not
withstand the limits of Allaah then there is no sin, on both of them, in that if she pays ransom for that
(release) those are the limits of Allaah, so do not violate it, and one who violate the limits of Allaah,
they are the wrong doers.
Quoting Turmuzi, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “If
a women demand divorce from her husband without any valid reason, then the fragrance of the
Heaven is for bidden on her”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he was informed that a person
has given the three divorces, at a time, Rasoolullaah (SAS) stood up in anger and said, “Is it that the
people have started playing with the book of Allaah, in my presence?”.
                     

          
“Fain tallaqahaa falaa tahillu lahu mim’ba’du hattaa tan’kiha zowjan gairahu, fain
talla’qahaa falaa junaaha alaihimaa an yataraaja’aa in zannaa an yuqeemaa hudoodal’laahi,
wa tilka hudoodullaahi yu’baiy’yinuha liqaowmi ya’ lamoon” . [230].
230. “So if he divorced her, (thrice) then, after that it is not permissible unless she marries a
husband other than him, then if (this husband) divorced her then there is no sin on both if they return
back (in wedlock) if they think that they will withstand the limits of Allaah, and those are the limits
of Allaah, which are mentioned clearly for the community which have knowledge”.

Quoting Abdullah Ibn Masood, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
wherein he has said "Curse be on both the persons one who marry a divorced women, a divorced
women to become permissible to marry her divorced husband like wise the for husband who is made
permissible to marry his divorced wife.
Quoting Aa'yesha (Rz), Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “A person who divorced his wife thrice will not be able to remarry his divorced wife, unless
she marries another person, and both of them have the taste of one another”.
                

                

                  
“Wa izaa tallaq‘tumun’nisaa’a fa’balagna ajala’hunna fam’sikoo’ hunna bi’ma’roofin aow
sarri’hoo’hunna bi’ma’roofin, wa laa tumsikoo’ hunna ziraaran lita’tadoo wa man yaf’alu
zaalika faqad zalama nafsa’hu, wa laa tatta’qizoo aayaatil’laahi huzu’wa, waz’kuroo
ni’matal’laahi alaikun wa maa anzala alaikum minal’kitaabi wal’hikmati ya’i’zukum bihi,
watta’qul’laaha wa’a'lamoo annal’laaha bi’kulli shai’in aleem”. [231].
231. “And when you have divorced women, then they reached the fixed period for them, so take
them back in a well-known manner or release them in a well known manner, and they may not be
taken back hauntingly, so as to tease, and one who does that, surely he wronged on his self and do
not hold the signs of Allaah, laughingly, and remember the favour of Allaah is upon you, and that
which He sent down upon you as a Book, the wisdom, advises you with it, and be fearful of Allaah,
and have the knowledge that Allaah has the knowledge of all the things”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “Three things which
are done intentionally or jokingly, they will be treated as complete, divorce, Marriage and setting
free of a slave, and Al-Qurtubi, reported the source as Abu Huraira, recorded the three things as
divorce, Marriage and taking back (of women after the two divorces before the fixed period).
                 

                   
“Wa izaa tallaq’tumun’nisaa’a fa’balagna ajala’hunna fa’laa ta’zulu’hunna an’yan’kihna
az’waaja’hunna, izaa taraa’zaow baina’hum bil’ma’roofi, zaalika yu’azu bihee man kaana
minkum yu’minu bil’laahi wal’yaow’mil’aaqiri, zaalikum azkaa lakum wa at’haru, wal’laahu
ya’lamu wa antum laa ya’lamoon”. [232].
232. “And when you have divorced women, then they reached the fixed period for them, so do
not prevent them from marrying their husbands, if they mutually agreed in a well known manner,
that is being advised with it, one amongst you who believes in Allaah and the Doomsday, that is
righteous for you, and clean, and Allaah knows and you do not know”.
(It may be noted that the remarriage is permitted if the divorce is limits within one or two but not
three see Aayat 230 above).
                    

“ Wal’waalidaatu yur’zi’na aow’laada’hunna how’laini kaami’laine liman araada an


yu’timmar’razaa’ata wa alal’maow’loodi lahu, rizqu’hunna wa kis’watu’hunna bil’ma’roofi,
laa tu’kalli’fu nafsun illa us’a'haa, laa tuzaarra waalidatun bi’wala’diha wa laa maowloodun
lahu bi’waladihi,wa alal’waarisi mislu zaalika, fa'in araada fisaalan an taraazin min’humaa
wa tasha’urin, falaa junaaha alai’himaa wa in arad’tum an tas’tar’zi’uu aowlaada’kum falaa
junaaha alaikum izaa sallam’tum maa aatai’tum bil’ma’roofi, wattaqul’laaha wa’lamoo
annal’aaha bimaa ta’ma’loona baser”. [233].
233. “The mothers shall allow suckling to their children for two complete years, for the one who
desired to complete the suckling, and up on the infants father, (to bear) their food, and their clothings
to her who allows suckling in a well known manner. No soul is burdened, except her capacity. No
mother should be made to suffer due to her child, and no one to whom the child is born (because of)
his child and on the inheritor, like that, so if they desire to stop the suckling (before the period of two
years) by mutual agreement and consultation, there is no sin upon both. If you desire to have the
suckling to your children [from other women], there is no sin upon you, when you pay accordingly
in a well-known manner. Be fearful of Allaah, and have the knowledge that Allaah is clear sighted
about that which you do”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “the suckling which
filled the intestines and is before the stoppage of suckling from the mother only prohibits
(marriage)”.
Quoting Ad'Darul'Qutni, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “The suckling made after two years will not be taken into consideration”.

“Wal’lazeena yuta’waffaowna minkum wa yazaroona az’waajan, yata’rabbasna
bi’anfusi’hinna ar’ba’ata ash’hurin, wa ashran, fa’izaa balagna ajala’hunna falaa junaaha
alaikum feemaa fa’alna fee an’fusi’hinna bil’ma’roofi, wal’laahu bimaa ta’maloona
qahabeer”. [234].
234. And those among you, who die and leave behind wives, have to wait themselves for four
months and ten (days), so when they reach their turn, then there is no sin upon you, in
which they did themselves in a well known manner, and Allaah is well informed with, that which
you do”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS), wherein he said, “if the woman is
pregnant at the time of the death of her husband, her period of confinement ends after the delivery”.
                 

                  

               
“Wa laa junaaha alaikum feemaa arraz’tum bihee min qitbatin’nisaai aow kuntum fee
anfusi’kum, alimal’laahu annakum sa’taz’kuroona’hunna wa laakin laa tu’aa’i’doo’hunna
sirran illaa an taqoo’loo qaowlam’ ma’roofan, wa laa ta’zi’moo uqdatan’nikaahi hatta
yab’lugal’kitaabu ajalahu, wa’lamoo annal’laaha ya’lamu maa fee anfusi’kum, fah’zaroohu
wa’lamoo annal’laaha gafoorun haleemun”. [235].
235. “And there is no sin upon you, in which you ask indirectly (such) women in marriage or
kept such intention in your “self”. Allaah knows that you will mention it to them, but do not promise
them secretly except that you may say in a well known manner, and do not resolve, marriage tie till
the prescribe term is fulfilled, and have the knowledge that Allaah knows that which is in your hearts
so be cautious, and have the knowledge that Allaah is the Most Forgiver, the Most Tolerant”.

“Laa junaaha alaikun in tallaq’tumun’nisaa’a maa lam tamassoo’ hunna aow taf’rizoo
lahunna fareezatan aow matti’uu’hunna alal’moosi’e qadaruhu wa alal’muq’tiri qadaruhu
mataa’an bil’ma’roofi haqqan alal’muhsineen”. [236].
236. “There is no sin upon you, if you have divorced the woman to whom you have not touched
them, or settled the obligatory payment to be given to them, and they have to be provided, for
expanded, according to his capability, and for a miser according to his capacity, A suitable gift in a
well known manner is the right on those who do good things”.
                   

                    
“Wa in tallaq’timoo’hunna min qabli an tamassoo’hunna wa qad faraz’tum lahunna fareezatan,
fa'nisfu maa faraztum illa an ya’foona aow ya’foo allazee bi’yadihee uq’datan’nikaahi, wa an’ta’foo
aqrabu lit'taq’waa, wa laa tan’sa’ul’fazla bai’nakum, innal’laaha bimaa ta’maloona baser”. [237].
237. “If you have divorced the women, before you have touched them, and you have settled the
obligatory payment to be made to them, then half of that which you have settled, except that she
forgo it or forgo in whose hand the tie of the marriage lie, and if you forgo it is near to fearness of
Allaah, and do not forget the favour amongst your-selves, certainly Allaah is the most seer of that
which you do.
        
“ Haafizoo alas’salaatil’us’taa, wa qoomoo lil’laahi qaane’teen”. [238].
238. “Guard your prayers (salaat) and the middle prayer [generally the Salaat before sun set] and
stand up for Allaah in full obedience”.
Quoting Ibn Masood, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said
“The middle prayer is the prayer of “Asr” , "‫"اﻟﻌﺼﺮ‬.
Quoting Aayesha (Rz) Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein
he said, “The superior prayer for Allaah’s pleasure is Salaatul Magrib (the prayer immediately after
sunset). If does not disturb down a traveler or a resident. Allaah opened with if the “Salaat” of night
and ended with it the “Salaat” of the day. One who pray two “Rakats” after it, Allaah may build a
palace for him, and for the one who prayed four “Rakats” his sins of twenty or forty years will be
pardoned.
Quoting Ibn Masood, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “from His commands Allaah has ordered, no one should talk while praying “Salaat”, and said
that “praising Allaah for men and hand clapping for women (in case the Imam has to be directed for
his error) in praying Salaat”.
                
“Fain qiftum fa’ri’jaalan aow rukbaanan fa’ izaa aamintum faz’kurul’ laaha kamaa
allamakum maa’lam’ takoonoo’ ta’ lamoon”.[239].
239. “Then if you have fear, then on foot or riding thus if you are safe, than remember Allaah,
like that you were taught which you were not having the knowledge”.
Quoting Abdullah Ibn Abbaas, Muslim has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
wherein he said, “through His messenger Allaah has prescribed four “Rakats” of
“Salaat” during peace, two during traveling and one on the time of fear”.

“Wallazeena yata’waffaowna minkum wa yazaroona azwaajan, waseyyatan li'azwaajjhim
mataa’an ilal’haowli gaira iqraajin, fain qaraj’na falaa junaaha alaikum fee maa fa’alna fee
anfusi’hinna min ma’roofin, wal’laahu azeezun hakeem”. [240].
240. “And those who die among you and leave their wives, A will for their wives, maintenance
for a year, not to be removed (from their houses) if they went away, then there is no sin upon you, in
that which they did for their self, in a well known manner, and Allaah is Most Mighty, Most Wise”.
       
“Walil mutalla’qaati mataa’un bil’ma’roofi,haqqan alal’muttqeen”. [241]
241. “And for the divorced women, a maintenance in a well known manner, A right upon those
who are fearful of Allaah”.
       
“Ka’zaalika yubaiyyinul’laahu lakum aayaatihi la’allakum ta’qiloon”. [242]. 242.
“Like that Allaah make clear His signs, so that you may understand”.
                       

        


“A’lam tara ilal’lazeena qarajoo min diyaarihim wa hum uuluu’fun hazaral’maowti,
fa’qaal lahumul’laahu mootoo, summa ahyaa’hum, innal’laaha lazoo fazlin alan’naasi wa
laakinna aksaran’naasi laa yash’kuroon”. [243].
243. “Have you not seen to those who came out from their houses, and they were in thousands,
feared the death, so Allaah said to them “Die” then He alived them, certainly Allaah is gracious on
the people, but many of the people are not grateful”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he explained plague is a
punishment which was sent by Allaah upon a sect of the children of Israel, and remained, so when it
occurs at a place wherein you dwell, you should not run away from the place, and when you find a
place where this epidemic is prevailing, then you should not enter in that place”.
In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) recorded by Al-Qurtubi wherein Rasoolullaah (SAS)
has said, “plague is a testimony and one who dies with plague is a martyr”.
         
“Wa qaatiloo fee sabeelil’laahi wa a'lamoo, annal’laaha samee’un aleem”. [244].
244. “And fight in the way of Allaah, and have the knowledge that certainly Allaah is the most

“Man zallazee yuq’rizul’laaha qarazan hasanan, fa’yuza’i’fahu lahu az’aa'fan kaseeratan, wal’laahu
yaq’bizu wa yab’sutu wa ilaihi tur’ja’oon”. [245].
245. “Who is the one who will loan to Allaah, A good loan, thus He will multiply it for him, with
many multiplications, and Allaah seizes and expands and towards Him you will be returned”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “when I visited
during the night of “Asra”, I saw a writing on the door of Heaven, wherein it was written, “For
charity ten times similar to it, for loan eighteen times similar too it, I asked Jibra’el (As) “how could

loan become superior to charity. Then Jibra’el [AS] replied, “A person asks for charity even though
he may be having, but a person ask for a loan, when he will not be having it”.
                      

“A’lam tara ilal’malaai min banee’israela min ba’di Moosa iz qaalun’ nabi’yyi lahum’
mub’as'lana malikan nuqaatilu fee sabeelilaahi, qaala hal'asaitim in kutiba alaikumul’qitaalu,
allaa tuqaatilu, qaaloo, wa maa lana al’laa nuqaatila fee sabaalil’ laahi wa qad uqrij’naa
wa’abnaa’i’na, fa’lamma kutiba alaihimil’qitaalu, tawallow illaa qaleelam’minhim, wal’laahu
aleem’mum’ bizzaalimeen”. [246].
246. “Have you not seen the chiefs of the children of Israel after Moosa (AS) [AS], when they
said to their prophet, “Give us a king, so that we will fight in the way of Allaah. The prophet said,
“Will you refuse?. If the fighting is made mandatory upon you, then you may not fight. They said,
“What is there for us that we may not fight in the way of Allaah, and certainly we were driven out
from our houses, and our children. Thus when the fighting was made mandatory upon them, they
turned back, except a few from them, and Allaah has the knowledge of the wrong doers”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he warned, “Don’t desire to
meet the enemy (to fight), and ask Allaah for healthiness and if you are made to meet them (in
fighting) be firm yourselves on it”.
                   

“Wa qaala lahum nabiy’yuhum, innal’laaha qad ba’asa lakum taaloota malikan, qaaloo
annaa yakoonu lahul’mul’ku alaina wa nahnu ahaqqu bil mulki minhu wa lam yuu’ta
sa’a’tan minal’maali, qaala innal’laa,has’ tafaahu alaikum wa zaadahu bastatan fil’ilmi
wal’jismi, wal’laahu yuutee mulkahu man yasha’u, wal’laahu waasi’un aleem” [247].
247. “And their prophet said to them, certainly Allaah has delegated Taloot as king for you. They
said, “How can the kingdom belong to him, over us, and we have the right for the kingdom than him,
and he has not been given abundance of wealth. The prophet said, “Surely Allaah has selected him
upon you, and increased him abundantly in knowledge and physique, and Allaah gives his kingdom
to whome He may desire, and Allaah is the Most Extensive, the All Knower”.
               

               
“Wa qaala lahum nabiy’yu’hum inna aayata mulkihi an’yaatee’ kumut’ taabootu feehi
sakeenatu min rabbikum wa baqiy’yatu mimma taraka aalu Moosa wa aalu Haaroona
tah’milu’hul’malaikatu, inna fee zaalika la’aayaatul’ lakum in kuntum mu’mi’neen”. [248].
248. “And their prophet said to them, “Surely the sign of his kingdom, is that there will come to
you the box, in it will be peacefulness from your Nourisher and the remains which were left by the
family of Moosa (AS) and the family of Haroon, (AS) the angels carry it, certainly there is proof for
you in that, if you are the believers”.

“Fa’lamma fasala taalootu bil’junoodi, qaala innal’laaha mub’taleekum binahrin, fa man
shariba mihu falaisa minnee wa man lam’yat’am’hu fa innahu minnee, illa manig’tarafa
gur’fatan biyadihi, fa’shariboo minhu illa qleelan minhum, falamma jaawazahu huwa
wallazeena aamanoo ma’a’hu, qaaloo laa taaqata lanal’ yaowma bijaaloota wa junoodehi,
qaalal’lazeena yazunnoona annahum mulaaq-ullaahi, kam min fi’a’tin qaleelatin galabat
fi’a’tan kaseeratan bi’iznil’laahi wal’laahu ma’assaabireen”. [249].
249. “So when Taloot departed with the forces, he said, “certainly Allaah will test with a river, so
one who drink from it, then he is not from me, and one who did not taste it, then surely he is from
me, except the one who take it (water) with his hand. Thus they drank from it except a few. So when
he crossed it (the river) with those who believed with him. They said, “We are not having the
strength today, against Taloot and his army, those who were expecting that they surely will meet
Allaah, said, “How many small groups have over powered big groups, by the will of Allaah and
Allaah is with people of patience”.
             

 
“.Wa lamma barazoo lijaaloota wa junoodihi, qaaloo rabbana’afrig alaina sab’ran wa
sabbit aq’daamana wan’sur’naa a'lal’qaow’mil’ kaafireen”. [250].
250. “And they came out into the view of Jaloot and his army they said, “O’ our Nourisher, pour
upon us patience, and make firm our feet and help us against the infidel people”.
                 

           
“Fa’hazamoo’hum bi’iznil’laahi, we qatala Daawoodu jaaloota wa aataa’ hul’
laahul’mulka wal’hikmata wa allamahu mimmaa yasha’u, wa laow laa daf’ul’ laahin’ naasa
ba’zahum biba’zin la’fasdatil'arzu we laakinnal’ laaha zoo fazlin alal’ aalameen”. [251].
251. So they defeated them by the will of Allaah, and Dawood[AS] killed Jaloot, and Allaah gave
him the kingdom, and wisdom and taught him that which He desired, and had Allaah not eliminated
the people, some of them by some, perhaps the earth would have been spoilt, but Allaah is with
Grace on the worlds”.
Quoting Ibn Umar (Rz) Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “Because of one pious person Allaah turns away misfortunes of hundred persons of his family
and his neighbours.
            
“Tilka aayaatul’laahi nat’looha alaika bil’haqqi, wa innaka laminal’ mursaleen”. [252].
252. Those are the signs of Allaah, We read upon you with truth, and certainly you are from the
messengers”.

“Tilkar’rusulu fazzalnaa ba’zahum alaa ba’zin minhum, man kallamal’laahu wa rafa’a
ba’zahum dara’jaatin wa aatainaa Easabna Maryamal’baiy’yi’naati wa aiyyad’naahu
bi’roohulqudsi, wa laow sha’al’laahu maq’tatalal’lazeena min ba’dihim mim’ba’di maa
jaa’at’humul’baiy’yinaatu wa laakin iqtalafoo fa’minhum man aamana wa minhum man
kafara, wa laow sha’al’laahu maq’tataloo, wa laakinnal’ laaha yaf’alu maa yureedu”. [253].
253. “Those are the messengers, We have preferred some of them on some. From them, to whom
Allaah spoke, and elevated some of them in grades, and We gave to Easa son of Maryam, clear
proofs and supported him with Rooh'ul'Qudus (Angel Jibrael) and if Allaah desired, they would have
not fought who were after him, after that which come to them, the clear proofs, but they disagreed,
so from them were some who believed and from them who rejected. And if Allaah desired they
would have not fought, but Allaah acts that which He desires”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “Don’t choose
among the messengers of Allaah and do not prefer among the messengers of Allaah”.
                    

 
“Yaa ayyu’hallazeena aamanoo anfiqoo mimmaa razaq’naakuim min qabli an’yaateya
yaowmun laa bai’un feehi wa laa qullatun wa laa sha’faa’atun, wal’kaafiroona
humuz’zaalimoon”. [254].
254. “O’ you who believed, spend from that which, We have given to you before the coming of
the day, wherein there will not be trade, and no friendship and no recommendation, and the infidels,
they are the unjust.
                        

                       

           
“Allaahu laa ilaaha illa huwal’haiyyul qaiyyoom laa ta’quzuhu sinatun wa laa naowmun,
lahu maa’fissamawaati we maa fil’arzi, man zallazee yash’fa’u indahu, illa bi’iznihee, ya’lamu
maa baina aiy’deehim wa maa qalfahum, wa laa yuhee’toona bi’shai’in min ilmihi illa bimaa
shaa’a wasi’a kur’siyyuhus’samawati wal’arza wa laa ya’uu’duhu hif’za’humaa wa
huwal’aleeyul azeem”. [255].
255. “Allaah, there is no Ilaah [god] except Him, Alive the self existent neither a light steep get
hold to Him nor the sleep (deep). To Him belong that which is in the skies and that which is in on
the earth. Who is there who can recommend before Him, except with His permission? He knows that
which is in between their hands and that which is behind them, and even a thing cannot be
comprehended from His knowledge except that which He desired. His chair expands the skies and
the earth, and their safety do not tire Him and He is the Highest and the Greatest”.
Quoting Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood and Umar (Rz) Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of
Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has informed, when he was asked about the great revered verse,
(Aayat) in the Qur’an, “It is Aayatul'Kursi, "‫( "أﯾﺔاﻟﻜﺮﺳﺊ‬verse No255).

In another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) Ibn Kaseer has recorded where Rasoolullaah (SAS) has
said, “In the “Surat Al-Baqara” "‫ "ﺳﻮرةاﻟﺒﻘﺮه‬there is an “Aayat” "‫ "آﯾﺔ‬which is great among all Aayaat
of the Qur’an, and that is “Aayatul'Kursi” "‫ " أﯾﺔاﻟﻜﺮﺳﺊ‬. Shaitaan will runs away from the house
where this Aayat is recited.
                   

       


“Laa ikraaha fid’deeni qad tabaiyyanar’rushdu minal’gaiyyi fa’man yakfuru bittaagooti
wa yumin bil’laahi faqadis’tamsaka bil’urwatil’usqaa lanfi’saama laha, wal’laahu samee’un
aleem”. [256].
256. “There is no compulsion in the religion, definitely the right guidance has become most clear
from the error, so one who rejects the idols and believes in Allaah, has certainly caught hold the
strong handhold. No breaking to it and Allaah is the Most Hearer, the Most Knower.
               

              
“Allaahu waliyyul’lazeena aamanooo yuq’rijuhum minaz’zulamaati ilan’noori, walla’zeena
kafaroo’ uulaika humut’taagootu, yuqriju’nahum minan’noori ilaz’zulumaati, uulaaika
ashaabun’naari, hum feeha qaalidoon”. [257].
257. “Allaah is the guardian of those who believed, they are taken away from the darkness towards the
light and those who rejected the Faith, their guardians are Shaitaans, they are carried away from the light
towards darkness, they are the companions of the Fire, they will stay in it for ever.
                    

                      

      


“ A’lam tara ilallazee haajja Ibraaheema fee rabbihi an aataahul’laahul mulka, iz qaala
Ibraaheemu rabbi’yallzee yuh’ee wa yumeetu, qaala anaa uhyee wa umeetu, qaala Ibraheemu
fa’innal’laaha yaati bish’shamsi minal’mashriqi fa’ti bihaa minal’magribi, fa’buhital’lazee
kafara, wal’laahu laa yahdil’qaowmazzaa’limeen”. [258].
258. Have you not seen him, who disputed with Ibraaheem [AS] about his Nourisher, while
Allaah had given him the kingdom, when Ibraaheem [AS] said, “My Nourisher is He, by whom life
and death, are given”, He said”, “I give life and cause death”. Ibraaheem [AS] said,” then surely
Allaah causes the sun to rise from the east, so you cause it rise from the west. Thus astonished who
rejected the Faith, and Allaah does not guide unjust people.
                     

                      

                  

           
“ Aow kallazee marra alaa qaryatin, wa hiya qaawi’yatun alaa urooshihaa, qaala, annaa
yuhyee haazihil’llaahu ba’da maowtiha, fa’a’maatahul’laahu mi’a’ta aamin, summa

ba’a’sahu, qaala, kam labista, qaala labistu yaouman aow ba’za yaoumin, qaala, bal labista
mi’a’ta aamin, fan’zur ilaa ta’aamika wa sharaabika, lam yatasannahu, wan’zur ilaa
himaarika, wa li'naj’a’laka aayatan linnaasi wan’zur ilal’izaami kaifa nun’shi’zuhaa, summa
naksoohaa lahman, falamma tabaiyyna lahuu, qaala, a’lamu annal’laaha alaa kulli shai’in
qadeer”. [259].
259. “Or like the one who passed on a village and it was a ruin upside down He said, “How can
Allaah bring it to life after its death, thus Allaah caused him death for one hundred years, then raised
him from death. (Allaah) said, “ How long you stayed, “He said”, I stayed a day or a part of a day,
(Allaah) said, “Rather, you stayed for one hundred years, so look at your food, and your drink, it did
not decayed, and look at your donkey, and it is so as to We to make you a sign for the people and
look at the bones, how we elevate it, then we clothe it with flesh, thus when it became clear to him,
he said”, I know that Allaah is Most Powerful on all things.
                     

                     

 
“Wa iz qaala Ibraaheemu, rabbi arinee kaifa tuh’eel’maowta, qaala a’wa’lam tu’min,
qaala, balaa wa laakin liyat’ma’inna qalbee, qaala, fa’quz arba’a’ta minat’tairi fa’sur’hunna
ilaika, summaj’al alaa kulli jabalin minhunna juz’an, summad’u’hunna, yaateenaka sa’yan,
wa’lam annal’laaha azeezun hakeem”. [260].
260. “And when Ibraaheem [AS] said, “O my Nourisher show me how do you give life to the
dead”. (Allaah) said, “what? Do you not believe (Ibraaheem AS) said, “Why not it is only for the
satisfaction of my heart”. (Allaah) said, “Then take four birds, then tame them towards you, then put
on all the mountains parts of them [killed in pieces, and call them], they will come to you seeking,
and have the knowledge that Allaah is Most Mighty, Most Wise”.
                   

       


“Masalul’lazeena yun’fiqoon amwaalahum fee sabeelil’laahi kamasalin habbatin anbatat
sab’a sanaabila fee kulli sum’bulatin mi’a’tu habbatin wal’laahu yu’zaa’i’fu liman yashaa’u,
wal’laahu waa’si’un aleem”. [261].
261. “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allaah, is like a seed, grow,
into seven ears, in each ear there are hundred seeds, Allaah multiplies to whom He may desire, and
Allaah is the Most Expansive the Most Knower”.
Quoting Muslim, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
explained, “A Muslim implants (Seeds) or cultivates crop birds, human beings and animals eat some
from it, which becomes a charity from him”.
Quoting Aa’yesha(Rz), Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “Search (your) maintenance from the secrets of the earth”.
                    

    


“Al’lazeena yunfiqoona amwaalahum fee sabeelil’laahi, summa laa yut’bi’ uu’na maa
anfaqoo mannan wa laa azan, lahum ajruhum inda rabbihim, wa laa qawfun alaihim wa laa
hum yah’zanoon”. [262].

262. “Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allaah, then do not follow which they spent
exposing generosity and without fortune for them their reward is with their Nourisher and no fear to
them and they do not grieve”.
Quoting Ibn Hatim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded he saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said,
“No charity is superior to a good work”.
Quoting Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said,
“Three types of persons to whom Allaah will not talk on the Doomsday, and will not see at them
with mercy on the contrary they will have painful punishment. (1) One who stresses his generosity
upon the person he favored. (2) Who wears his pants below his ankle. (3) Who sells his goods with
false vow.
While in Ibn Maa’ja and other books the three persons are described as (1) who disobeys his
parents, (2) who stresses his generosity upon the person he favored (3) Drunker and rejecter of fate,
they will not enter in the Heaven.
             
“Qaow’lun ma’roofun wa mag’firatun qairun min sadaqatin yat’ba’u’haa azan wa’llaahu
gani’yun haleem”. [263].
263. “Good utterance and forgiveness are better than the charity, to which follow hurts, and
Allaah is free from all wants, Most Tolerant”.
                 

      


“Yaa aiyyuhal’lazeena aamanoo laa tub’tiloo sadaqaa’tikum bil’manni wal’azaa kallazee
yunfi’qoo maalahu ri’aa’an'naasi wa laa yuminu bil’laahi wal’ yaowmil’aaqiri, fa’masaluhu
kamasalin saf’waanin alaihi turaabun fa’asaabahu waabilun fa’tarakahu sal’dan, laa
yaqdiroona alaa shai’in mim’maa kasaboo, wal’laahu laa yahdil’qaowmal’kaafireen”. [264].
264. “O’ you who believe, do not falsify your charities with expressing the charity on whom
given and torture, like the one who spends his wealth to show people and does not believe in Allaah
and the Doomsday, so his example is like the example of hard rock upon which sand, then a heavy
rain hits it, so leaves it as a hard solid, they have not power on anything from that which they earned,
and Allaah do not guide the infidel community”.
             

               
“ Wa masalul’lazeena yunfi’qoona amwaala’ humub’tigaa’a’ marazaatil’laahi wa tas’
bee’tan min anfusahim, kamasali jannatin bi’rabwatin asaabaha waa’bilun fa’aa’tat ukulaha
zi’faini, fa'in lam yusib’ha waabilun fatallun, wal’laahu bimaa ta’maloona baseer”. [265].
265. “And the example of those who spend their wealth seeking the agreeability of Allaah, and
with firmness in their souls, are like the example of a garden on a high elevated place, face it heavy
rain, so it came with its eatables in multiples, so even when a heavy rain does not hits it then a small
shower (will do). And Allaah is clear sighted with which you do”.

“A’yawaddu ahadukum an takoon lahu jannatun min’naqeelin wa a’naabin tajree min
tahtihal’anhaaru, lahu feeha min kullis’samaraati wa asaabahul’kibaru wa lahu zurriyatun
zu’afaa’u, fa’asaabaha e’saarun feehi naarun fah’taraqat, kazaalika yubaiyyinul’laahu lakum
aayaati la’allakum tatafakkaroon”. [266].
266. “Is any one among you desire to have a garden of date palms, and grapes and streams flow
beneath it, in it all kinds of fruits for him, thus he struck by old age and him belong weak children,
thus a hurricane stroke it (the garden) in it there was fire, so it burnt. Like that Allaah explain the
signs to you, so that you may think over”.
Quoting “Mustadrik” Ibn Kaseer has recorded a prayer of Rasoolullaah (SAS), in which he used
to pray, “O Allaah increase more in your maintence facilities during my old age and near the end of
my age”.
                 

“.Yaa aiyyu’hal’lazeena aamanoo anfi’qoo min taiyyi’baati maa kasab’tum wa mimmaa
aqraj’naa lakum minal’arzi wa laa tayamma’mul’qabeesa minhu tunfi’qoona wa lastum
bi’aaqizeehi illa an’tug’mizoo feehi wa’lamoo annal’laaha Ganeeyun Hameed”. [267].
267. “O ’you who have believed spend from the good (things) which you have earned, and from
that which We have removed for you from the earth, and do not intend bad (things) from it to be
spent by you, while you do not desire to hold it, except that your eyes are made closed in it, and have
the knowledge that Allaah is free from all Wants, the Most Praised”.
Quoting Musnad Ahmad, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “The way in which Allaah has distributed your maintence facilities, in the same way He has
distributed your ethics, Allaah gives worldly facilities to His friends as well as to His enemies, but
He give religiousness to His friends, one who gets religiousness he is the beloved of Allaah, I swear
in the mane, in whose hand my life is, no one can be a Muslim unless his heart and tongue become
Muslim, and one can be a believer unless his neighbours are fearless from his troubles”. When asked
about the troubles, he said, “It is deceitfulness and certainly, towards them and one who earns with
unlawful means, Allaah do not give prosperity in it, and do not accept his charity, and which he lay
behind him, it becomes a cause of his abode in the Hell, Allaah do not wipes out evil from evil, but
wipes out with righteousness”.
                
“Ash’shaitaanu ya’i’dukumul’faq’ra wa yaamuru’kum bil’fah’shaa'i wal’ laahu
ya’idukum mag’firatin minhu wa fazlan, wllaahu waasi’un aleem”. [268].
268. “The devil threatens you the poverty and orders you to commit indecencies and Allaah
promises you forgiveness from him and favour, and Allaah is the Most Expansive and is the
possessor of all knowledge”.
                   
“Yu’til’hikmata man yashaa’u wa man yu’tal’hikmata faqad uutiya qhairan kaseeran. Wa
maa yazzakkaru illa uu’lul’albaab”. [269].
269. “He gives wisdom to whom He desires and the one to whom wisdom is given certainly he is
given virtues in abundance, and no one takes note of it except those who are wise”.
                
“Wa maa anfaqtum min’nafaqatin aow nazar’tum min’nazarin, fa’innal’laaha ya’lamu’hu,

wa maa lizzaali’meen min ansaar”. [270].


270. “And that which you spend from expenditure, or you vowed from vow, thus surely Allaah
knows it and for the wrongdoers (there will be) no one from the helpers”.
                

      


“In tub’dus’sadaqaati fani’imma’hiya. wa in tuq’fooha wa tu’toohal’ fuq’raa’a, fahuwa
qairun’lakum wa yukaffiru ankum min sayyi’aatikum, wal’laahu bimaa ta’maloona qabeer”. [271].
271. “If you give charity exposingly, it is good for you and if you hide it and give it to the poor, it
is better for you, and it will cause rejection from you, your sins, and Allaah is well informed about
that which you do”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “One who recites the
Qur’an with a loud voice is like the one who gives charity exposing it to others, and the one who
recites the Qur’an with a lower voice, is like the one who gives charity secretly”.
Quoting Abu Huraira Al-Bukhari, and Muslim have recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
wherein he said, “On the Doomsday, for seven persons Allaah will provide their places under His
shade, when no other shade will be available (1) The king who ruled impartially, (2) the youth who
spent his younger days in the service of Allaah, (3) the two persons who loved each other for the
sake of Allaah, and who separated themselves for the sake of Allaah, (4) the person who loved his
presence in the mosque from the time he left it till he retuned in it, (5) the person who wept during
his remembrance of Allaah in his loneliness. (6) The person who refused when a beautiful woman
called him for indecency, saying “I fear Allaah in this act”. (7) The person who gave charity secretly
in such a way that his left hand was ignorant of that which he gave from his right hand.
                 

               
“ Laisa alaika huda’hum wa laakinnal’laaha yahdee man yashaa’u wa maa tun’fiqoo min
qairin fali’anfusikum, wa maa tunfi’qoona illab’tigaa’a waj’hillaahi, wa maa tunfiqoo min
qairin yu’waffi ilaikum, wa antum laa tuzla’moon”. [272].
272. “It is not upon you to guide them, but Allaah guides whom He desires, and what you spend
from the virtues, so it is for your self, and you do not spend except seeking the liking of Allaah, and
whatever you spend from virtues, it will be fulfilled to you, and you will not be dealt with cruelty”.
             

                  
“ Lil’ fuqraa’illazeena uhsiroo fee sabeelil’laahi laa yas’tatee’uuna zar’ban fil’arzi
yah’sa’buhumul’jaahilu agni’yaa’a minat’ta’uffufi ta’rifuhum biseemuh-um, laa
yas’aloonan’naasa ilhaafan, wa maa tunfiqoo min qairin fa’innal’ laaha bihi aleem”. [273].
273. “(Charity is) For the poor, who secluded in the way of Allaah, they cannot strike in the land
(for maintenance) the ignorant think them to be rich, (because of their) modesty abstaining from
begging) you can recognize them from their features, they do not ask people holding them around
and that which you spend from virtues, thus surely Allaah knows it”.
Quoting Abu Zirr, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “I
have heard Rasoolullaah (SAS) saying “who ever possess forty dirham and ask something he is like
the one who ask people holding them around”.

“Allazeena yunfiqoona amwaalahum bil’laili wannahaari sirran wa alaani’ yatan, fa'lahum
ajruhum inda rabbihim wa laa qaowfun alaihim wa laa hum yah’ zanoon”. [274].
274. “Those who spend their wealth during the night and during the day secretly or openly, so for
them their reward is with their Nourisher, and there is no fear upon them and they are not sad”.
                  

           
“Allazeena ya’kuloonar’ribaa laa yaqoomoona illa kama yaqoomul’ lazee yata’
qabbatuhu’sh’shaitaanu minal’massi. Zaalika bi’annahum qaaloo innamal’bai’u mislur’ribaa,
wa ahal’lallaahul’bai’a wa harramar’ribaa, faman jaa’a’hu maow’i’zatun mirrabbihi fan’
tahaa falahu maa salafa, wa amruhu ilal’laahi, wa man aada fa’ulaika ashaabun’naari, hum
feeha qaalidoon”. [275].
275. “ Those who eat increase (in their wealth), do not stand (behave) except like the one who
stand (behave) to whom the Shaitaan (Satan) has made him wander about with his touch, that is
because they said, “Surely trade is just like the increase (‫( )اﻟﺮﺑﻮا‬in wealth) and Allaah has permitted
trade and prohibited the increase (in the wealth), so, one to whom sermon has came to him from his
Nourisher, thus restrained himself, for him that which is passed over and his matter is with Allaah,
and one who reverted, thus those are the companions of Fire, they will dwell in it forever”.
Note: - Generally the scholars have translated "‫ "اﻟﺮﺑﻮا‬as usury, and so Bank interest is made
prohibitive, unfortunately it does not suit me. I have tried to study it in detail and have come across,
the following. I have approach some of the scholars, with my explanation, but they have not
responded, neither denied nor accepted.
(1). The word "‫ "اﻟﺮﺑﻮا‬carry only one meaning, that is increase, so, if a question is asked as to, in
which Allaah has prohibited this increase?
Its first answer should be “in trade”."‫ "ھَىﺎﻟﺒﯿﻊ‬that, Allaah has prohibited increase of profit in trade
"‫"ﻓَىﺎﻟﺒﯿﻊ‬. It is an established fact.
Not only in Arabic but in almost all the languages, the reference has to be taken to mean the
information which is succeeding or preceding to the word, hence "Ar'riba" succeeds the word
"Al'Bai'a"[trade].Thus Allaah has prohibited increase in trade, after a prescribed limit.
(2). In the third “Surat” "‫ "آﻟﻌﻤﺮان‬Aayat No.130, Allaah says,

“O’ those who have believed, do not eat the increase in multiples.
(3). In the next Aayat, Allaah says,
     
meaning thereby “Allaah will wipe out “the increase”(in trade) and there will be increase in the
charities”. If the declaration of Allaah is examined, one can easily agree that in charities of any
community, it is on increase, and if it is applied in a trade, who desires to have increase in his profit
and tries to sell a thing for three rupees, while the other trader next door sells the same for two
rupees. It can easily be concluded that the trade of the trader who wants to have "‫“ "اﻟﺮﺑﻮا‬the
increase, his trade will be wiped out”.
Besides there is a saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said
‫ﻵرﺑﻮادرھﻤﺎًﺑﺪرھﻤﯿﻦ‬
“No” Riba" increase for a Dirham for two Dirhams, a date for two dates, a wheat for two wheats,
a barley for two barlies, a husk for two husks, [immediately] taking from one hand and giving from

the other, except "Annasee'a" delay in payment, or forgetfulness”.


Imam Malik in his collection of Ahadees, "Al'mu'atta" has explained the meaning of
"Annasee'a" “During the days of Pre-Islaamic Period, things were borrowed under certain conditions
(normally an increase by some number/ weight). On the date of promise for the return, the creditor
will approach the debtor and used to say, " A taqzee am turba" “will you pay back or you will be
increased (the number/ weight)? Here the creditor used to exploit the debtor who could not return as
promised. For this Rasoolullaah (SAS) termed it to be to "shameful", it is as if one marries his own
mother.
In respect of the saying of this Hadees the warning of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (Rz) is also recorded
wherein he said that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has said, the above during his last days, and that “we could
not understand its meaning (who can be the wise who can take one Dirham from one hand and return
two from the other hand). So he cautioned the people for being careful in its understanding. He has
not denied about the correctness of this Hadees..
Beside there a number of sayings of Rasoolullaah [SAS] wherein ha has termed them to be
"Riba" that is purchasing the yield of grain etc in advance of its harvest, purchasing the goods before
it reaches the market, purchasing the raw fruits etc on the trees/fields, hoarding to get more after the
goods scarce, all of the appear in the chapter of "Kitaabul'Buyuu" [Chapter of trade] in Al'Buqaari.
Beside the “Ummat” has tolerated two famous Imams i.e. Imam Ash'Shaafa'e and Imam'Aazam
Abu'Hanifa, who have taken different and divergent meanings in respect of " Salasata quruu'. quruu
has two different meanings, menstruation and cleanliness. Thereby the problem if permitted by one
is prohibited by the other.
Imam Ash'Shaafa'e, has taken the meaning of cleanliness whereas Imam'Aazam Abu'Hanifa has taken
the meaning of menstruation, with this, in seven basic issues, permitted by one is prohibited by other.
There are number of Ahadees recorded under " Arriba" “Rasoolullaah (SAS) has termed as
shameful when one tries to cheat in trade the other, such as purchasing the yield when it is on the
trees or on its way to market etc. three words are commonly used i.e. , equality justice, just in
between; but under “mutual agreement”, no check is made.
Considering the utility of Banking system, in the present economy it is horrible to think of a
nation without Banking systems, when such is the case how can Islaam the pioneer of well-being
can condemn and prohibit it?
When "Ar'riba" in condemned as shameful in the sayings of Rasoolullaah [SAS], and even
lending of a pen as a social act, is forbidden, and the lending person is treated as one among the
persons involved in the acts of "Ar'riba", irony is that in these Islaamic banking institutions deposit
their funds in the banks/bank lockers, for such deposits banks do not allow any interest, but utilizes
in its routine earning business .
Quoting Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
wherein he said, “the permitted ones and the prohibited ones are cheer but in between, there are
certain things which are doubtful. So, leave away those doubtful things. Those who leave away
doubtful things, have saved his religion and honour, and that one who indulge, in the doubtful things,
he may commit the prohibited things, it is as if one who graze his cattles, around the fields of others,
there is every possibility, that his cattle may put their mouths in the fields of others. “Al-Qurtubi has
also recorded the same Quoting No'man Ibn Basheer.
Ibn Kaseer has also recorded another saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has explained the
sin. “Sin is that which irk the heart and its exposure on others is disliked”.
             
“ Yam’haqul’laahur’ribaa wa yur’bis’sadaqaati, wal’laahu laa yuhibbu kulla kaffarin
aseem”. [276].
276. “Allaah wipes out the increase (in trade) and charities are increased and Allaah do not love
all the infidels, Sinners.
Quoting Al-Bukhari, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said,

“Even if a date earned from lawful means, is given in charity, Allaah takes it in His right hand
and breeds it (its reward) like that we breeds our cattle to become like a mountain.
                

    


“Innal’lazeena aamanoo wa amilus’saalihaati wa aqaamus’salaata wa aatuz’zakaata lahum
ajruhum inda rabbihim, wa laa qaowfun alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon”. [277].
277. “Those who believed and did righteous deeds and established prayers and paid the Zakaat,
for them their reward is with their Nourisher, and no fear on them, and they are not sad”.
              
“Yaa ayyu’hal’lazeena aama’nuttaqul’laaha, wa zaroo maa baqaa minar’ ribaa, in kuntum
mu’mineen”. [278].
278. “O’ you who believed, be fearful of Allaah, and leave away that which remains in the
increase (in trade) if you are the believers”.
                  

 
“Fa;in lam taf’a’loo, fa’zanoo bi’harbim’minal’laahi wa rasoolihi, wa in tubtum falakum
ru’uusu amwaa’likum, laa tazli’moona wa laa tuz’lamoon”. [279]. 279. “So if you do not
do, then permit (yourself) for the war with Allaah and with His messenger, and if you repent, then
for you is the principle of your goods/wealth, do not treat unjustly and you will be not treated
unjustly.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded that in his last sermon Rasoolullaah (SAS) has also said, “I am
destroying the increases which you were taking during the Pre-Islaamic period, don't be unjust in
taking the increase, you will not be done unjustly by giving you less or by not returning at all”.
                  
“Wa in kaana zoo’us’ratin, fanaziratun ilaa mai’saratin, wa an tasaddaqoo qairun lakum
in kuntum ta’lamoon”. [280].
280. “And if (the debtor) is in hardship, then postponement to wards easiness, and if you have it
in charity it is better for you, if you know it”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “One who postpones
the recovery of his debt to his debtor in distress, charity is return for each day of postponement.
                 
“Wattaqoo yaow,man turja’uuna feehi ilallaahi, summa tu’waffa kullu nafsin, maa
kasabat wa hum laa yuzlamoon”. [281].
281. “And be guarded about a Day, in which you will be returned to Allaah, then each one of the
soul will be given in full that which it had earned and they will not be treated unjustly”.
                 

“Yaa ayyu’hal’lazeena aamanoo izaa tadaa’yantum bi’dainin ilaa ajalin musamma
fak’tuboohu wal’yaktub bainakum kaatibun bil’adli wa laa yaaba kaatibun an yaktuba
kamaa allamahul’laahu, fal’yaktub wal’umli'lillazee alaihil’haqqu wal’yattaqil’laaha
rabbahu, wa laa yab’qas minhu shai’an, fa in kaanal’lazee alaihil’haqqu safeehan aow
za’eefan aow laa yastatee’u an yumilla huwa fal’yum’lil waliyyuhu bil’adli was’tash’hadoo
shahee’daini min rijaalikuml fa’in lam yakoona rajulaini fa’rajulun wam’ra’a’taani mimman
tar’zaowna minas’shu’hadaa’e, an tazilla ihdaahumaa fa’tuzakkira ih’daa’humal’uqraa, wa
laa yaabash’shuha’daa’a izaa maa du’uu, wa laa tas’a’moo an tak’tuboo’hu sageeran aow
kabeeran ilaa ajalihi, zaalikum aq’satu inda’laahi we aqoomu lish’shahaadati wa adnaa allaa
tar’taaboo illa an takoona tijaaratan haazi’ratan tu’deeroonaha bainakum falaisa alaikum
junaahun al’laa taktubooha, wa ash’hidoo izaa tabaaya’tum, wa laa yuzaarra kaatibun wa laa
shaheedun, wa in taf’a’loo fa’innahu fusooqun bikum, wattaqul’laaha, wa yu’alli’ mukumul’
laahu bikulli shai’yin aleem”. [282].
282. O’ you who believed, When you desire a mutual deal of future obligation at a fixed time,
then write it down, and a writer should write down (as agreed) between you, with justice, and the
writer should not refuse to write, As Allaah taught him, he should write, and the one who is due,
should dictate and he should be fearful of Allaah, his Nourisher and do not reduce anything from it.
Then he upon whom is the right (debtor) is a fool or weak or he cannot dictate, then his guardian to
dictate with justice, and invoke two witnesses from your men, if you do not have two men, then one
man and two women, to whom you desire from the witnesses so if one from the two try to mislead
the other woman (from witness) can remind her, and the witnesses should not refuse, when called for
(to stand witness), and do not be fed up to write it small or large (condition) to wards the agreed
time, there by you are “just before Allaah and put right the testimony and it is nearer, that you may
not become doubtful except that it become a trade of instant transaction, which you practice it then
there is no sin upon you, if you do not write it, and have witnesses when you transact business, and
the writer should not be harmed nor the witness and if you do it, it is your sinful act, and be fearful
of Allaah and Allaah teaches you and Allaah is the knower of all things.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “the best witness is
the one who comes forward to give witness, before he is asked to do so”.
                   

                  
“Wa in kuntum alaa safarin wa lam tajidoo kaatiban farihaanum’ maqboo-zatun, fa in
aamina ba’zukum ba’zan, fal’yuwaddil’lazee u’tumina amaanatahu wal’ yattiqil’laaha
rabbahu wa laa taktumush’shahaadata, wa man yaktumha fa’innahu aasimun qalbahu,
wal’laahu bimaa ta’maloona aleem”. [283].
283. if you are on a journey and do not find a writer then a possessed security to be a mortgage.
So if any one from you kept some (anything) in deposit of other, then, he with whom the deposit was
kept should return his deposit, and he should be fearful of Allaah, his Nourisher and do not hide the

witness, and one who hides it, surely he is whole hearted sinner, and Allaah is the knower of that
which you do.
                          

    


“ Lil’laahi maa fis’samaawaati wa maa fil’arzi, waa in tubdoo maa fee anfusikum aow
tuq’foohu yuhaasib’kum bihil’laahu, fa’yagfiru’liman shaa’a wa yu’azzibu man yashaa’u,
wal’laahu alaa kulli shai’in qadeer” [284].
284. “It belongs to Allaah that which is in the skies and in on the earth, and if you expose that
which is in your souls or hide it you will be made to account for it before Allaah, then He will
forgive to whom He may desire, and will punish whom He may desire, and Allaah is powerful on all
things”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “Allaah has decided
to leave away the evil thought comes to the mind of my people, and he will be asked to account for
the acts, either told or committed, by him”.
Quoting Al-Bukhari and Muslim Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS)
wherein he said, “If my servant thought of doing a good thing, that was to be written as it is done,
and when he commits a bad thing, that should be written as one bad act but he completes the good
thing then the act will be written, as if done for ten times.
                 

             
“ Aa’manar’rasoolu bimaa unzila ilaihi mir’rabbihi wal’mu’minoon, kulln aamana
bil’laahi wa malaai’katihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihi, laa nufarriqu baina ahadin min rusulihi,
wa qaaloo sami’naa wa ata’naa gufraanaka rabbanaa we ilaikal’ maseer”. [285].
285. “The messenger believed in that which is sent down to him, from his Nourisher, and the
believers, they all believed in Allaah and the angels and His Books and His messengers, we do not
make any difference between any one from His messengers, and said, “we heard, and we obeyed we
(seek) your forgiveness, O' Our Nourisher and towards You is the destiny”.
Quoting Ibn Umar, Al-Qurtubi has recorded that he (Ibn Umar) heard Rasoolullaah (SAS) saying
“Allaah has sent down upon me two verses from the treasure of the Heaven and completed the
“Surat Al'Baqaratu” with it and the Nourisher wrote them with His hand before He created the
Creations by one thousand years, one who recites them after the “Isha” prayer he will be rewarded as
if stood in prayer through out the night”.
Ibn Kaseer has recorded that Rasoolullaah (SAS) has ordered Ubay'bin'Aamer (Rz) “Be firm in
reciting the last two verses of the “Surat Al'Baqaratu” (i.e. the 285 & 286) as they are decended from
the treasures of the “Arsh” (the seat of Allaah).
                       

” Laa yukalliful’laahu nafsan illa ua’a’haa, lahaa maa kasaba wa alaiha maak’tasabat,
rabbanaanaa laa tu’aa’qiznaa in naseena aow aq’taanaa, rabbanaa wa laa tahmil alainaa isran
kamaa hamal’tahu alal’lazeena min qablinaa. Rabbanaa wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata
lanaa bihi, wa’fu’anna, wag’fir lanaa, war’hamnaa, anta mowlaanaa fan’sur’naa
alal’qaowmil’kaafireen”. [286]. 286. “Allaah do not put to task a soul, except its capacity, for it,

that which it earned, upon it that which it earned, O’ Our Nourisher, Do not hold us if we forget or
commit mistake, O’ Our Nourisher, Do not put upon us a burden, as you burdened, upon those who
were earlier to us, O’ Our Nourisher, Do not burden upon us for we may not have the strength for it
and pardon us, and Forgive us, and have Mercy upon us, you are our Master, so help us upon the
infidel people”.
