How would you rate your communication skills?

(Extending, proficient, developing or

emerging)

I believe my communication skills are at a proficient level. Over the past three activities completed in
class. I can conclude my communication skills have significantly improved over the course of the
class. An activity I performed well in was the mock interview done, I believe it was the activity I could
say I was prouder of compared to the rest. Knowing that in these interviews, detailed and clear
answers would be necessary. Many of my responses were well thought out of. When asked in front of
the class “what I considered to be my leadership style like” I think my answer was clear. I was put on
the spotlight and in a matter of seconds I answered this question with clarity and provided strong
evidence to back up my attributes.

How can you improve your communication skills?

My communication skills have shown drastic improvement, most of my responses were clear and were
set with good examples. However, at times, when questions of more depth when presented to me, I
mumbled a bit while I was thinking how I would respond to my answers. To prevent mumbling from
happening when answering complex questions, not mumbling when talking is something I could work
on. Getting out of my comfort zone and talking to strangers or peers with more clarity is what I should
do to improve this attribute.

Do you feel confident in your ability to market yourself in an interview?

Previously, I have completed job interviews, where the questions made in the interview were like the
ones practiced the other day. At this interview, questions such as “could you describe yourself” “why
would I be suited for this position” and “describing my strengths and weaknesses” were all questions
asked to me. In which I could say that I already had a good idea of what I would respond to each
question,
